Gambit doubters KEKW

Eurasia really isn't official continent though

posted about 3 years ago

Depends a lot what you mean with "EU" Europe, European Union, EU Valorant region...? Gambit and most of their players are geographically from Europe. You can't change that. And when it comes to EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) they are from Europe from that list.

Gambit is European team and their players (outside of nAts maybe) are European. But, I'm not worried. Team Secret looked good, while Gambit looked shaky and not that prepared.

posted about 3 years ago

I mean its pretty clear that they weren't that prepared for Team Secret. TS are playing much better than expected.

posted about 3 years ago

They were literally losing bunch of rounds to fucking Crazy Raccoon during Masters 3 and still ended up winning whole thing. Gambit isn't looking that good, but stuff like this happens. Team Secret is also doing really weird and aggressive plays.

Tbh today's game outside of KRU vs Liquid are kind of whatever. Winner of Masters 3 going against arguably the weakest team on paper (Gambit vs TS) and Masters 2 winners going against arguably the 2nd weakest team on paper (Sentinels vs Furia). KRU vs Liquid could be pretty close actually or it could be dominant for Liquid.

Fnatic players were hitting their shots. Derke was on fire. Even players like Boaster who has looked pretty bad online showed great fragging at times. They just played better than what I expected. They had some great ideas and their comps were nice. While C9 just looked kind of lost and Leaf couldn't get much done. This game almost was 2-0 for Fnatic, but C9 managed to do comeback on Split and almost on Fracture.
All I can say is that I can't wait for Fnatic vs VS Fracture. Both teams seem to be pretty cracked on that map (as long as Fnatic learns to close out games).

posted about 3 years ago

Fnatic weren't even supposed to win this match. C9 played bad, but Fnatic had the control all game long outside of maybe couple of moments. They were leading on Split, but couldn't close it out. And Fracture could have been way more dominant, but C9 kind of activated in the end.

WTF FNATIC

posted about 3 years ago

C9 isn't playing as well as in LCQ and Fnatic is playing better than expected.

posted about 3 years ago

I was a doubter... I'm sorry. Even winning map 1 was way more than I expected, and Split looks competitive as well. Respect!

posted about 3 years ago

Guys chill. Icebox is one of Fnatic's best maps and Derke always perform really well there. Split is almost 100% going to C9 unless Fnatic pulls some crazy shit and Fracture is big ?

posted about 3 years ago

Derke is popping off and C9 is playing really weak. Like they are doing dumb plays all the time.

NA happy they are taking rounds from team that isn't even top 5 in EU currently KEKW

posted about 3 years ago

if they just get that far

posted about 3 years ago

Yeah but as the other guy said they have been pretty shit since Iceland. They have given so many opportunities to show that they are team to reckon with, but always fail to do so. From individuals to teamplay. Like they have so many things they have to fix.

posted about 3 years ago

I don't know about that one. Fnatic isn't even top 5 EU team currently, while C9 just won LCQ.

posted about 3 years ago

Just wait for CR vs TS or VKS vs TS KEKW
I'm pretty sure TS is supposed to be even worse than those 2.

posted about 3 years ago

I mean the difference is only like 3cm compare that to for example Korea to Finland that is 9cm.

posted about 3 years ago

Korean average height is low

They pretty much destroyed Acend in Haven as well, but ended up losing to Gambit in the playoffs. Single games against weaker teams (FS is decent, but Acend is even better) don't tell everything.

posted about 3 years ago

But wasn't there rumor or something that groups are played in this stage and playoffs in other?

posted about 3 years ago

Pretty much. Also seems like those light strips are horizontal instead of vertical or some shiet. Didn't see much of it.

posted about 3 years ago

Its pretty much same stage with maybe different light strips.

posted about 3 years ago

Sentinels got intro and outro, while teams like Envy only got like 3 seconds even though they made it to finals last Masters lol

posted about 3 years ago

VS 2-0 FS
CR 2-1 VKS
C9 2-0 FNC

posted about 3 years ago

Fnatic isn't even top 5 team in EU. Unless they pull crazy shit they will get 2-0'd by C9.

Because he has a lot of delusional fanboys. He is most likely the most famous Valorant player and there's still bunch of people who thinks he is undisputed number 1 player. Popular among people who have no idea what they're talking about. In a way he is "player for normies". And BatChest in this context reflects those people and usually "I hecking love...." is used with that emote.

IM SO HAPPY HE IS IN CHAMIONS

posted about 3 years ago

Let's hope this is true

posted about 3 years ago

Hopefully, but it says Day 1 and they only have PlatChat and Ludwig from YouTube and there is chance they could give Day 2-? to someone like Valkyrae. Even though that would be mistake. At least YouTube seems to be more safer, since there isn't as much competition.

posted about 3 years ago

but this is only day 1... there is a chance that we won't see them during other days.

posted about 3 years ago

Didn't 100T Asuna and Hiko say that KRU was good team before Berlin Masters 3? Would kind of make sense if they truly think they are good, but at the same time doesn't make any sense.

posted about 3 years ago

Either they are just slow, have problems or have something "big" planned. Like maybe getting someone even bigger streamer to co-stream it or do some watchparty event thing with big streamers? Crazy idea, but maybe they want it to be hype and wait until last second? What is your bet?

posted about 3 years ago

oh yeah that can happen

posted about 3 years ago

Sad that we won't see TL vs SEN on LAN. They can't even face in playoffs if both make it out.

posted about 3 years ago

VS ("closer" than expected, kind of like VS vs PRX in Berlin, 2-0)
CR (close game, 2-1)
C9B (one map goes to OT, 2-0)

posted about 3 years ago

I don't think it matters. Liquid is really high energy team and obviously they would have that LAN brother buff, but I think they should still be fine. It could also motivate them since Nivera could get to play on LAN as long as they make it out of groups. And its hard to say how Nivera would play on LAN anyway. Is he shaky or possibly even better. Obviously this can be bad thing if they go to playoffs with Nivera playing on LAN for first time.

posted about 3 years ago

This will most likely happen. EMEA teams always choke. I'm pretty sure all EMEA teams outside of Gambit will lose their first matches and place 2nd in their group (outside of Fnatic). Same pattern from Iceland and Berlin. But, I still think both Acend and TL will make it out and activate in their elimination games.
