Because why would they want to run traditional comps against Envy on Haven? Comps like this may be worse, but at least teams are not too familiar playing against them. We can already see Gambit doing really aggro plays around the map and Envy are getting caught off guard.

Haven is their perma ban and look at their comp.

I would imagine something like
Redgar: Astra
D3ffo: Jett
Sheydos: Skye
nAts: Cypher
Chronicle: Sova
but, they could just throw it like they did in EMEA and put Redgar on Reyna again or some shit. Maybe play Chronicle on Brimstone again or some shit. Hard to say, but should be pretty easy win for Envy anyway, so Gambit may not focus too much.

Normally maps are NA - EU - ASIA, but some American maps have it like ASIA - NA - EU for some reason. They just cut EU and Asia like that.

posted about 3 years ago

They are giving Envy way too much space. I mean that's kind of Gambit's playstyle just wait in spawn and go in last second, but its so risky against Envy who reads teams really well.

posted about 3 years ago

Yes. Only problem is that some people see EU as Europe and other see EU as European Union. Realistically it means European Union, but in terms of regions in games and such EU means Europe.

posted about 3 years ago

Don't Americans put North America and South America into middle of world maps? At least some do. I don't know how popular it is though.

posted about 3 years ago

I don't understand why some people even try to argue about this? They play for CIS and EMEA regions. And in this case EMEA represents all of Europe, CIS and Turkey. And that will be the case until these 3 regions get their own spots for Masters events. Also Russia isn't a continent.

posted about 3 years ago

I mean Gambit were about to 2-0 100T with 13-5 and 11-3(?) score, but couldn't close it and choke. Also SEN lost 2-0 to G2. Envy still has good chance, but just saying.

posted about 3 years ago

Gambit has been part of same EMEA family from the start. Anyone who at any point has said otherwise is just delusional. They literally fight for same spots and scrim against each other all the time. Just like Turkey. Also NA likes to call Gambit EU the moment Gambit is losing, but when Gambit is winning its not EU anymore.

posted about 3 years ago

In context like this EU = Europe, not European Union. You would call Norwegian team EU team even though they aren't part of European Union.

posted about 3 years ago

They are CIS, and EMEA with EU and TR. And they are European.

posted about 3 years ago

Europe is lucky to have them

posted about 3 years ago

Gambit has higher peak, but they might choke. So, maybe them.

posted about 3 years ago

nAts for me. I mean he puts crazy numbers fragging wise while also playing sentinel role and being one of if not the best at that. His positioning and gamesense is top tier as well.

posted about 3 years ago

Before Berlin yes. But we didn't know how well he would perform.

WHY SO QUIET NA AND EU??? KEKW

posted about 3 years ago

Hard to say. I like both teams. G2 is the true representor of EU and I really like that team personality wise. But, at the same time I really like Gambit as well and I think they have higher peak meaning that they have higher chance at winning in finals IMO. Obviously they might choke, so then G2 again could be better option. I don't know... I'm happy with either one.

I think EMEA will eventually become the best region. We have seen this with pretty much every major game outside of LoL and even there we are better than NA. EU as a region just feels better for developing new talent and overall seems to develop in a faster pace. NA has always had the same problems that stops them from getting better. We have seen this over and over again where NA looks the best at start, but end up falling eventually. One big problem for example has been that existing tier 1 talent tries their best to block new talent from getting in. And because of this already kind of washed players stay on top while young players with insane potential can't get into tier 1 or get experience/supprort. Happened in LoL pretty much and I wouldn't be surprised if same thing happened in Valorant. Hopefully this won't be the case.

Any of the 4 can win it tbh. 100T looks the most consistent especially due to their clutch factor (their 1st maps are bad though). And Gambit's peak is maybe the highest, but they aren't the most consistent team. Anyone can take it tbh, but I expect 100T vs Gambit finals.

Sentinels' comp was hot garbage (for them). TenZ just can't play Raze and Sick's Skye is meh. Tried to copy G2 and it didn't work. G2 exposed their old comp. Great game from nV though,

true

Luckily G2 has little more experienced players so they might not choke as hard. Or at least they haven't choked so far compared to Gambit and Acend. I still think they are little overrated though.

posted about 3 years ago

G2 outaimed them bad as well. SEN down bad

posted about 3 years ago

Not SMB, but VS I can see I completely forgot them

Actual 100T, Envy, Gambit, G2, Acend > Sentinels this tournament.

true NA is kind of quiet right now

Sad that 100T won, but at least my pickems are good still.

posted about 3 years ago

He had some really questionable and stupid plays also he didn't get any frags. But first time LAN so maybe nerves. NT I guess

posted about 3 years ago

biggest fucking choke holy also bonecold 6 kills gg

nice throw from acend

posted about 3 years ago

he is so lucky

posted about 3 years ago

Its clear that he is having LAN nerves. Completely normal for young unexperienced player. Some people get boost like Keloqz or D3ffo, while others play worse.

posted about 3 years ago

Yesterday was massive L for EMEA, but today so far has been massive W for EMEA. I don't know what is happening. 100T can still make comeback though, but Gambit and G2 delivered.

Asuna is really struggling this map

posted about 3 years ago

True.

posted about 3 years ago

I guess that's true, but there isn't many maps in this game. They kind of just need to play it.

posted about 3 years ago

Not the best for Acend, but its not that bad. 100T ban Bind so that's gone. Acend's Ascent or Haven aren't crazy good, but they should be ok. Their Breeze is really good.

posted about 3 years ago

Don't. Unless Acend gets to their online form they will get 2-0'd by 100T.

posted about 3 years ago

Mixwell is actually crazy when you think what agents he can play. Killjoy, Viper, Skye, Raze, Sage, even Jett. Like holyy

posted about 3 years ago

They have potential

posted about 3 years ago

Derke is good in his peak, but he is soo inconsistent

posted about 3 years ago

Oh you mean Navi who got eliminated first and ForZe who got 2-0'd by TL? I'm not trying to put CIS down, respect to them. But saying CIS > EMEA or even CIS > EU is just pure delusion. For example D3ffo might dominate in CIS, but its clear he isn't doing it in EMEA against tougher opponents.

posted about 3 years ago

I think people just were really underrating Gambit after their close game against CR. I think it was kind of weird reaction from majority when Gambit clearly had their eyes set on VS instead of CR. Both teams played really well today, but Gambit just had it in the end. VS still insane. Kind of unlucky they were put into Group A and then faced Gambit first round of single elims.

posted about 3 years ago

I don't watch CIS by its own, but EMEA as a whole is more competitive than CIS so I think his performance there is more telling. In EMEA he has good games, but at the same time he maybe isn't the most impactful player on this team. Obviously Gambit plays Jett in bit of a unique way compared to other teams. I'm not saying he is bad, but I think he was the weakest Jett out of 4 EMEA teams that made it before Berlin. But, he has played really well on LAN.

VS insane team

posted about 3 years ago

I doubt it, but still true. G2 won against F4Q and SEN, but they are just that type of team that can just lose 4-13 and win next 13-4. Their map scores and wins are so random time to time. And they had played against SEN once already, so they were able to prepare for rematch. Now they are going against KRU without playing them before. Still G2 should win this, but anything can happen.
