Tbf FUT's international appearances have been gradually increasing each event as well. Lock//In they were 9th-16th, Tokyo they were 9th-10th, Champs they were 7th-8th, Shanghai they were 5th-6th. If they keep up the pattern I could see them making it to 4th. It really does feel like the team has only been improving since the start of franchising
Plus there's a pistol round after 10-2, which is basically a free momentum builder if you win it

The stage 1 records carrying over has genuinely made these last weeks of regular season so boring to watch. The final weeks of stage 1 had pretty much every match mattering. Now playoffs were pretty much decided by like week 2 or 3 as soon as one of the teams who did really bad in stage 1 lost a single game despite massively improving and outperforming some of the teams who were already qualified to playoffs off of their stage 1 record (KRU, 100T, C9 etc)
