Gambit, Acend, and Liquid are better than all the NA representatives in Champions (Gambit > Acend >= Liquid >= NA) but everyone would say EU sucks once Fnatic gets 6-13'd and 4-13'd by XSET/C9/100T

Wait 40-50 ping is bad? That's my ping on my lowest servers which is HK2 lmao.

Surprised no one here mentioned Gambit. Obviously their strats is what made them the best team but each one of them is fucking cracked.

Liquid has a good chance to beat Sentinels as well.

I know he gets a lot of hate because of his choke job against Gambit and how he sometimes whiffs easy shots, but this guy stepped up in this tournament big time. He played a different agent for each map in the Grand Finals and he still led the team in ACS. He led the entire tournament in K/D while being the IGL of Liquid. Can't wait to see him and the rest of Liquid on LAN.

Literally just Team Secret

If BR wants to be successful internationally I feel like they have to create a superteam like how they did in CSGO with Luminosity/SK. Who do you think would be included in such a superteam and under which team would they be made? I first thought of MIBR but they're owned by Immortals and they already have an NA team.

Redgar is the only Gambit player not there damn.

I didn't include CIS or TR players
If I include them, my top 5 would be:
nAts
cNed
ScreaM
nukkye
Chronicle

the 5 bonkars dont have to be paid, they play for the glory not the money

Leo

for the 5th one I want to say Derke but he's fallen off since Iceland

NaVi aint no slouch tbh

I honestly want Turkey to be included in the Asian region but I think ping would be a big problem for them.

But then again, 250 ping SMB might be better than 80 ping SMB lol

Leo is the best flex player in EMEA tbh

win $100 or watch bonkar dominate

this is a win-win for me

posted about 3 years ago

i guess i just have to accept my fate

death by bonkar

posted about 3 years ago

sheesh if that's the case then i'm scared for liquid in the grand finals

posted about 3 years ago

No way G2 wins with how bonkar is playing right now.

posted about 3 years ago

I doubt Guild drops bonkar for Kryptix. Kryptix is better but he's not an IGL and Guild needs one if they're replacing bonkar

posted about 3 years ago

L1NK is pretty good at hitting from behind as well.

posted about 3 years ago

I don't think content creation for him. Don't get me wrong, income is still income, but I watch his streams from time to time and he doesn't have that "streamer personality".

posted about 3 years ago

Kryptix most likely wouldn't be part of Team Liquid anymore. Any ideas on where he might go?

EMEA for me is still

  1. Gambit
  2. Acend
3-4. Liquid, G2 (Liquid might be a bit higher because of today but G2 when everyone's playing well is still pretty scary)
  3. Giants
  4. Guild
  5. SMB
  6. Fnatic

EDIT: idk why tf vlr makes my 5 6 7 8 into 3 4 5 6 but you get the point.

posted about 3 years ago

I agree, Liquid needs a Skye in Bind. If soulcas wants to Raze, ScreaM should use Skye.

posted about 3 years ago

ScreaM is 27 so he won't be playing at a high level forever. Jamppi and Nivera were up and coming stars in the tier 1 CSGO scene and would've still been in CSGO if it wasn't for Valve. Assuming these two stick with Liquid, how good do you think they and the team would be in 3+ years.

posted about 3 years ago

Eh it's a 50/50 fault by Vitality and Valve. I still think the punishment for having 6 man rosters was overkill.

posted about 3 years ago

He's a tier 1 CSGO pro who probably would've still been in CS if it wasn't for Valve, he's obviously better than boi

posted about 3 years ago

TenZ
cNed
nitr0
nAts
SicK

pretty tough to pick tbh, I wanted to put ScreaM in but his playstyle would overlap with TenZ's
I wanted to put soulcas since he's a better Skye but SicK can Sage and I think this team needs a Sage badly.

posted about 3 years ago

If I were NBK, I'd choose Vitality instead tbh. At least Vitality is a French team. Who knows, he might even get kennyS to tag along.

inb4 Astralis becomes an NA Valorant team

posted about 3 years ago

The core 4 of Liquid (ScreaM, L1NK, Jamppi, soulcas) has always been good. It's always been their team composition and Kryptix underperforming which led to their poor Stage 3. It looks like they fixed both of those problems by using Astra and replacing Kryptix with Nivera.

I like it. Feels like Cache.

  1. ScreaM
  2. nAts
  3. nitr0
  4. Asuna
  5. starxo (just because of his shenanigans)

So we all agree that Jett's dash needs some kind of windup time. A similar escape mechanic is Yoru's gatecrash which currently has a 0.6 second windup time. If you've played Yoru for any amount of time, you'll notice that you'll get killed before you actually get to teleport away. If a Jett dash nerf is about to happen, should they also buff Yoru's gatecrash? I personally feel that a 0.2 second windup time for Jett's dash and Yoru's gatecrash might do a lot for the game. Yoru might actually get used now as an Operator agent since the gatecrash would serve as the dash but you have the luxury of teleporting to a totally different spot.

D3ffo and Derke are certainly above Jamppi

Oh in that case, that's understandable. For me personally it's fine but I can see why people don't prefer her voice.

wait people actually hate on Pansy? She's an FPS caster legend.

For me the casters were pretty good overall. They were all pretty knowledgeable about the game imo.

Current Top 10 based on the results:

  1. nAts
  2. cNed
  3. TenZ
  4. yay
  5. ShahZaM
  6. ScreaM
  7. Asuna
  8. Chronicle
  9. nitr0
  10. keloqz

Yup I agree. I remember a caster saying that ScreaM is a lot better as a secondary entry. It doesn't really go well when he forces an entry with Jett since his playstyle isn't the flicky, jerky, aim Jett mains have, instead it's precise and methodical aim. Reyna is a perfect fit for him but Reyna isn't used in a lot of maps except for Icebox and Breeze. He'll be a great Skye but that's Soulcas' role. His best option right now is probably Sage again just like back in Iceland.

posted about 3 years ago

Liquid is in such a weird spot where ScreaM is a Jett who doesn't OP, Jamppi is a Jett main who is an average OPer, and Nivera is a CSGO AWPer who can probably use Jett to OP but won't be given that role. Unless Jamppi goes full Sova or Nivera takes up Kryptix's role as Sentinel/Viper then they'll have a lot of role overlaps.

If Fnatic doesn't return to Stage 2 form, they're gonna be the weakest EMEA team out of the 4 representatives. I love the team but they had a rough Stage 3 and I really hope they bounce back. As of now though, G2, SMB, and Liquid deserve Fnatic's Champions spot more.

For the LCQ, my heart says Liquid because I'm a Liquid fan.

My brain says G2 since they're the most balanced and most solid team in the LCQ.

But I feel like SMB would win since it's online unless Riot decides to change it.

Korea has a chance tbh.

I wanna say Brazil but I honestly have no idea why they're bad at Valorant even though they once dominated in CSGO

posted about 3 years ago

Imagine picking Reyna as an IGL on a map you never practiced on but still getting 10 first bloods.

Unbelievable job by him and their coach Engh. They played unbelievable Valorant the entire tournament and executed very well.

posted about 3 years ago

And he's the IGL. Absolutely fucking crazy.

posted about 3 years ago

Everyone in Gambit is so fucking cracked holy shit even Redgar popped of with Reyna on Haven damn.
