LOL
Honestly a toss up between Liquid, Fnatic and Sentinels. If Liquid is on top form I could see them taking it, but fnatic is a more consistent team.
When it comes to sentinels it'll depend on how well their style matches against the EU teams. Hard to say atm.
Still I'm convinced that'll be the top 3. It's the order that is hard to predict. I'm inclined to think fnatic will take it
EU suckers at least aren't delusional about a weaker region like brazil
who the fuck is thewz
typical delusional brazilian
Almost all tournament winnings go to players in big pro teams.
It really depends. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it would be really hard for Valorant to overtake CS in Europe.
The real question that will determine whether valorant can overtake CS in pure viewership will be the rise of the Asian scene. CS is too strongly rooted in Europe, yet Asia looked towards other games primarily, and is the world's biggest gaming market.
If Asia gets big on the bandwagon, then I could see valorant surpassing CS. Timing is unclear. I suppose we'll be able to see it evolve and make a more educated guess when Reykjavik, Berlin and end of year major happen.
anecdotal evidence doesn't pass for general evidence. Classic logical fallacy
+1 G2 is definitely coming out heavily on top here.
Think G2 is just putting in the big muscle org moves here. They're one of the only orgs that can afford shit like this.
Wait what, did zeek even IGL in G2? I thought he didn't
That argument only works if BR has the best COMPETITION in the world.
An amazing player in a region of worse players will post up better stats than the best player in the world in the best region in the world.
Of course that cannot be proven yet given we can't tell for sure which region is the best in the world yet. But looking at numbers ignores too many other factors that influence those numbers.
In valorant strategy is absolutely paramount, more so than in CS.
So the fact that they are losing despite a madfragging top talent on their team speaks to the inferiority of their strats.
It's a logical conclusion.
happened loads of times in CS history. Not very weird.
Potentially good for the stability of an esport - yet not for players themselves and fans (and most of all, upcoming teams and players)
That being said, valorant is at such an early stage of the esport scene that franchising right now would be absolutely terrible.
New teams spring up constantly, teams that were widely considered the best in their region (looking at you G2 and TSM) fall very hard very quickly. Since the scene is so new it's constantly in flux. Making the league franchised would harm this very badly, making it much harder for new and upcoming teams to break into the top, and allowing worse teams to stay in the big leagues for way too long.
Knowing riot I wouldn't be surprised if a franchised league came to the game, but I'm sure it won't happen in the near future, it wouldn't make any sense.
Lmao if you think ayaz is anywhere close to nats
nAts singlehandedly secured the win against FPX
Guess we're finally getting separate slots for EU and CIS & Turkey. Good stuff.
That can still happen though. Just not for official matches.
I don't doubt a showmatch on breeze is on riot's mind
in a BO5 grand finals, that one map (that may not be in your control to ban) may prove the difference and crown someone champion that should not have been it.
Also many teams have been working with a permaban on the same map for months on end. What do they do now? Ban breeze and leave their permaban untouched? Ban their permaban and be forced into an unfavorable matchup on Breeze?
It leaves too much to the question. You're only seeing 1 part of it but there's much more that you're not addressing.
Good to see.
Breeze was going to be an absolute shitshow without any smaller tournaments including it before Reykjavik, and the perfect way for the "worse" teams to create upsets that should not happen all else being equal.
Not enough time to scrim, practise, create strats and look at what other teams are doing, where every team would be super secret about their strats. You'd end up with unpolished stuff that is - unexpectedly - countered by even wilder stuff.
I agree with the sentiment of a showmatch though, that'd be amazing. But not in the active map pool just yet.
brits were near the top of the CS:Source scene. Only france was better
? floppy is 3 weeks into valorant only? way too early to call anything
awping on a sentinel isn't that bad. Jamppi was doing it on killjoy on haven, and that went fantastic
Lmao downvoted because sick isn't the craziest highlight player? There's more to being the best player in the world than simple mechanical skill. Without SicK Sentinels wouldn't be where they are.
SicK is the best player in the world for sure. The way he creates space for his team while posting good numbers is literally insane. SicK has been the rock of sentinels since the start of the team.
tenz isn't even the best player on his team. SicK is
imagine thinking turkey is EU. Super cringe.
Turks in a nutshell
Prediction king
Yikes
Proven right
Turkish fans are so delusional man.
unlucky? They just got outclassed by galaxy brain ANGE1
NiP is getting too strong tactically to ignore. Some of the best strats in EU, Ex6 doesn't disappoint. That being said, Guild is a great team.
My guess is that it'll end in a 2-1 for NiP, but at least 2 of the three maps will be very close.
Jady is a god, honestly. Such a good player
Tsack benched, moe40 removed.
Edit: downvotes? It’s the truth.
Any source for this information? Davidp wasn't always an IGL, Happy has been an IGL since like 2014
This lineup might turn heads. Excited to see them play!
Wondering who will be IGLing tho, davidp or happy?
Not how it works.
Lower tier orgs can't produce the same conditions for their players that T1 orgs can.
Oh man, was dreading this would happen. Turks are some of the most annoying fanbases in CSGO and Valorant is proving no different.
Can't wait to see cNed wannabe turks instalocking jett in ranked and not doing shit - as usual.
Ex6 actually brings in some big plays at times. He usually has quite a meticulous system so I’d expect his team to only get better at time
that's an aimhack and we know they exist in valorant.
Still not a spinbot like this guy is claiming.
It's not that hard to drop 48 in Silver honestly. He was most likely smurfing.
Show the demos then. I've never even seen mention of a spinbotter in Valorant. I've seen wall and aimhacks, but not spinbots.
That's cause in DOTA and league almost everything is serverside calculated. You can't do that in an FPS. You have to do a lot of clientside calculations, which is why they're easier to cheat on.
Immortal. Have seen some cheaters but very very infrequent. And not a single spinbotter ever and I've played since day 1 of beta.
I guess cause youre greek you're closer to turkish servers. That explains why. Turks were always the worst offenders in CSGO as well. I only queue on London and Paris servers.
