strong family values are actually stereotypical of the other side of the aisle, but this is politics and should be shut down immediately. politics ultimately make zero difference when it comes to family values.
It doesn't matter, anyone they sign will be a downgrade. I think seven is the most 1-to-1 replacement of Wardell, if they're looking for a similar role.
he stayed with Ghost for two years, even re-signing with them despite having potential for Tier 1. he stayed with TSM for two years, despite not winning anything significant in 18 months. how long did you expect him to keep losing before recognizing he needs change? three years? four?
nobody in NA is close to Wardell with awping, and that includes XSET Cryo, PKS ban, and LG bdog, who are the only notable young talents. Wardell has a few good years left.
honestly same, no more stress when watching them. i honestly just laughed, this team is going nowhere. i love corey's aim and rossy's flexibility, but other than that they're screwed.
If that's the case, Hiko should never play an agent other than Sova again. idc about the "aggressive ethan sova" bs, hiko is maximized on that agent if he MUST remain on the team.
every team needs an awper (although less important in val than cs) and wardell is better than any other in NA.
but yeah, i guess ABX—> NV yay level moves don’t happen all that often.
why tf would guard sign player once they’re already doing well in this tourney? what the hell did u guys expect lol. ofc it’s a content creator.
PKS skuba and RISE derrek could be available for smokes and sova.
100T Wardell
100T skuba
100T derrek
100T ethan
100T asuna
This could have potential, idk. They’re gonna have to pull a Guard and scout relatively unknown players and get lucky tbh. There’s not much talent to poach at this point.
good enough doesn’t qualify for LANs.
why do ppl automatically assume 100T? he could make any NA team better.
i’ll be changing mine once he’s officially picked up, not sure if 100t will be as successful as everyone hypes them up to be. will have to wait and see. they’re gonna need much better players around him. for his sake, he may prefer joining an established Tier1 team instead of taking a chance on a potential Tier1 team.
my main concern is that HE doesn’t want to play pro anymore.
already best NA and he wasn’t even playing in an established system. tsm didn’t support him well. also his attack awp works when he walks up with the team, not lurking in a 1-4 default.
i just hope he keeps playing in general, not as fun for me to watch if he only does content creation
Will a Tier 1 team even want to pick him up now? It’s a terrible look to get cut for not moving. How can a team expect him to move for them? Wardell is my fav player so I’m interested to see his future.
He’s the best awper in NA, other than him and yay, we have nobody who can actually awp. He’s clearly capable of pro play if he wants, and I’d hate to see him waste the last few years of his career.
Wardell trolled about moving to Texas 30 times already, but THIS time isn't a troll guys!
we beat you in a 5k tourney which clearly carries more weight than a 700k int'l LAN, please accept defeat fool #owned
lol
he gigglin
they're handling this like a classroom of middle schoolers discussing a breakup, the environment should be professional and i'm beyond done with their antics. just make an official announcement and be done with it. what a joke.
no. this roster will never win a major and i no longer care about their petty cryptic bullshit #freewardell
elige has won 9 LANs, hiko has won none. complete achievement diff, i dont think u can compare the two in any capacity.
regardless of what your two arguments are
A core roster of Wardell, Subroza, and Corey on their current roles would have been solid, unlucky.
I'm starting to understand how Wardell must have felt, carrying this team match after match. Look at this foolishness they do without him. Then again, these are just puggy matches so it's hard to judge.
C9 is the second best team in NA behind OpTic. V1 and Guard haven't shown me enough to feel comfortable ranking them.
My main point is that all these borderline Tier 2 teams like XSET, LG, PKS, TSM, EG, FaZe, etc have at most 2 truly insane players on each roster. I think consolidation has to happen if NA wants to compete internationally. At least while they're working with CS rejects. If new talent grows up on Valorant and joins it instead of CS, I think that problem will eventually go away.
A roster with Wardell, Subroza, FNS, yay, and Victor would go crazy.
NA doesn't have any proven IGL's other than FNS. We also don't have any premium awpers, except for Wardell (as a side note, Valorant as a whole doesn't have any premium awpers - all the greatest awpers are still playing CS). I think 100T will be able to poach players from any team other than OpTic. That includes C9, V1, and Guard, depending on how the playoffs pan out. Basically, they would be building an NA superteam.
Wardell - awper that must play Chamber AND Jett, maybe even Sage, depending on the map.
Duelist - they have to be one of the best riflers NA, and able to play at least Jett AND Raze at a high level (no one-tricks). Reyna and Neon for bonus points, maybe even the occasional Kay/O.
Other than that, they need 3 ultra-flexible players with the perfect mix of calculated aggression and solid teamwork. The current "meta" is actually an anti-meta, because finally we aren't playing the same 5 agents over and over.
Anyone outside of OpTic should be buyable. OpTic has shown sustained success, their players are dedicated to the game, and they're going to beat Guard to qualify first this weekend. Guard, V1, and C9 could all be broken down and bought out depending on how playoffs go. TLDR: any player not on OpTic
Ethan's saving grace is that he has been acting as IGL and has plenty of LAN experience and knows how to win from CSGO. Maybe the CSGO pedigree clouded my judgement.
If you wanted to blow up the entire roster and start completely from scratch, I couldn't argue against that.
i actually will lose interest in anything other than LAN playoffs if Wardell retires or misses Stage 2 without a team.
respectfully, T1 is getting absolutely nowhere with pwny or thwifo either. there are far better players to be had, and if T1 ever want to win anything significant, they're going to have to make big changes.
i think we're seeing the beginning of a huge consolidation in NA valorant. gone will be the 12 semi-Tier1 teams. they combine under the richest orgs to make 4 or so "super teams," which just might be able to compete internationally. think Liquid, EG, Complexity in CSGO.
100t is going to be making a bunch of roster moves. They didn't bring in DDK/sgares to keep the same ranked players, switch up their roles, and remain mediocre. I think they rebuild around Ethan. Literally everyone else is expendable. There are far superior duelists, far superior Sovas, far superior awpers, far superior flex players. And 100T have the money to go get those players.
I think they ask Ethan what role he wants and give it to him (assumedly smokes/flex, because he's not a good Chamber/Sova relative to the other talent in NA). Then they bring in Wardell to awp on Chamber and go from there.
It could very well be a W for both parties. We'll have to see.
If I were Wardell, I wouldn't touch T1 at all. That team is cursed, and they're performing worse than TSM.
My wet dream would be as follows:
V1 makes a miracle lower bracket run and qualifies for Masters. Wippie isn't able to go, so V1 subs in Wardell instead of jammyz.
He can worry about finding a full-time roster after dominating an international LAN and winning the biggest event of his career.
remove two versatile flex players and add two one trick sentinels? yes, that'll win a couple NSG weeklies.
Yeah, I was just about to point that out. They had a couple decent EPL seasons and LANs. I think the Orgless roster with Wardell, Subroza, FNS, and Yay had more potential, though. I'd love to see that in Valorant, too, if they could figure out a fifth (Victor?) and roles.
i think that's just a narrative. aggressive sova isn't a thing. ethan is maximized when he's not on sova, and hiko is maximized when he's not on sentinel.
I think Hiko is a better Sova than Ethan, there I said it.
i think asuna is a fine jett if he sticks to rifling. just be like corey and play whatever rifling duelist the team wants on a map by map basis.
everybody's hopping on the wardell>tsm juno fandom train eh?
jcstani and hiko shouldn't be on the roster if they want to win, not good enough.
wardell should never play jett again, he doesn't play the agent correctly.
100T ethan
100T asuna
100T bang
100T wardell
100t 5th
Coach sgares
Assistant Coach MikesHD
GM DDK
I could believe in that team maybe.
wardell is smiling/laughing over TSM losing right now, had to leave the room to compose himself and be respectful lol. can't say i blame him.
ez L for tsm against "bully hunters," nice job management! can't wait for wardell to join a tier 1 team, good for him.
d3ffo is arguably the worst player on the team. and he’s still insane. you don’t see that often. the real stars are the support players.
roast me? fuck pls don’t 🥺🥺🥺
he clearly wasn’t “baiting” btw. he just had incorrect info and fully believed it.
who else will inform him? clearly ACTUAL sources reached out to him immediately upon noticing his tweet. could be players or management.
