there need to be more international events, more regional LANs, bigger prize pools, etc. three international competitions per year will not cut it past this year. not enough opportunities.

OpTic have consistently played in every big event in NA. Sure, they’ve often finished 2-8th in those events, unlike SEN who won most of them in 2021. But, with the downfall of SEN, OpTic is clearly the most consistent team left in NA. I think they take this one and qualify. Let’s go ex-Wardell-teammates FNS and yay.

doesn’t really matter, awping in pro Valorant seems beginner friendly. a premium awper doesn’t offer much over a meh awper. just my humble opinion. there are no standouts other than the top 3 (wardell, yay, cryo).

Corey is a flexible duelist with great aim, Rossy is a great flex player with solid aim (fwiw, he’s the only guy besides Wardell who manages to ace consistently on TSM - I’ve seen 3 from him and none from anyone else).

Skuba and Derrek would be solid if actually picked up, no idea about JSUNG. Rossy is better on flex initiator than Sentinel, so JSUNG might conflict with that.

In theory this wouldn’t be bad but TSM won’t do it and won’t improve.

"major" is a term for CSGO and it's hard to find a direct equivalent in Valorant. also, I expected Acend to keep the roster together a while longer since it was clearly successful.

i like gmd, but i don't think wardell to geng makes them a contender. they need more, in my humble opinion. adding an awper is a move that completes a team, not carries them.

yay is the only awper NA who can come close to challenging wardell. and wardell has diffed him twice, once on ABX and once on NV (despite a 1-1 record). cryo, ban, saya, and the rest don't even come close.

it's impossible to say wardell is the best awper world though, he hasn't competed internationally. only NA.
