There's a huge difference between the two.

In The Guard's case, they already had a roster locked. That roster won Ascension, and deserved to play in tier 1, no matter which banner they were flying.

In BLEED's case, they don't have a roster. They have 2 players and a coach. If they were picked up by a new org, that org would be able to put in 3 players of their own, which is the majority of the roster out of their own pockets.

Ok ty

I like the team but I'd put in cgrs. He was genuinely amazing to watch on MITH and I think he deserves another shot at tier 1

Source?

posted 2 months ago

I genuinely hope not. If BLEED drags both of them down to tier 2 (if they're even allowed to compete) then that's depressing

In 20225 Boaster would be 18230 years old (and likely still on the team)

Bro only looked at the flag

Nope, just a $50M investment three years ago

posted 2 months ago

Perhaps not, but they're very likely to be around at least until contract renewals in 2027 roll around

posted 2 months ago

That doesn't violate anything lmao

posted 2 months ago

It's just been leaked that a similar thing happened in their VALORANT division, so probably

posted 2 months ago

Probably not. EG are scummy, but in a way where they stay inside the rules (e.g. contract jail, pay cuts skated ahead of time, etc.)

I am convinced you hit Caps Lock and never found out how to turn it off

For breaking what contract regulation?

Termination

posted 2 months ago

They're not getting relegated from the league. They're getting terminated as a participating org because they failed to comply with the requirements of being a tier 1 org.

Hyssopus1 moment

posted 2 months ago

It's notrelegation, it's termination. GE isn't getting terminated unless they do something to violate their participation agreement

posted 2 months ago

Oh alright, thank you. That could explain things

  1. It's Yahoo Finance, don't worry
  2. It's called an investment, but I'm honestly not sure
posted 2 months ago

Not relegated. Terminated.

Read this ^^

I don't mean a TGRD situation as in "we don't agree to your terms" but rather where the team fails to meet the requirements set by Riot, whatever those may be (deadlines, contracts, etc.)

posted 2 months ago

Guess DRG aspas is a thing now

posted 2 months ago

Definitely a possibility, but it's very hard to know for sure, as this is likely between the org and Riot

posted 2 months ago

I'm speculating that it could be another TGRD situation where they don't do what they're supposed to on time (no clue what that could be, it's just a theory)

posted 2 months ago

I mean... yeah, it sucks for them, but they didn't do what was required of them which is entirely their mistake

posted 2 months ago

Well, thank you, that's very kind of you actually

"BLEED Esports was terminated due to its failure to comply with critical reporting requirements and other key obligations under the Team Participation Agreement."

In other words, this is another The Guard-esque situation, where the organization doesn't do what Riot tells them to and are losing their spot in tier 1 as a result.

Why are we all acting like BLEED is being relegated? Why are we all saying teams that have been doing poorly are going to be kicked out of franchising? That's not at all what's happening.

posted 2 months ago

I think it has something to do with the agreement BLEED signed... some kind of violation or missed deadline or something, kind of like The Guard

posted 2 months ago

THERE'S NO WAY LMAOOOO
Okay nah, after that Ascension final, you can't say both teams didn't deserve tier 1. Glad they're both in now

This took me 3 minutes to type out so I couldn't read your reply until I sent mine. Number one fan is CRAZY though, I'm a random on the internet I should not be having fans

We only use the words loonie and toonie to refer to the coins themselves, not the actual amounts. You'd usually say "that'll be a dollar" or "I'm a dollar short"... but if you're asking for change or something, you'd ask for a loonie or a toonie because you're referring to the coin and not the value of it. Kind of like how you'd say quarter and 25 cents, or dime and 10 cents (there are other examples in other countries, but most places do this kind of thing).

Also, in case you're curious: the $1 coin is called a loonie because there's a loon on it (a kind of bird). As for toonies... well, two loonies = toonie.

I'm not sure if it counts for tier 2 in sultan's case, but tomaszy plays in EMEA and Kr1stal last played in CN so I don't think it would matter for them

posted 2 months ago

Lmemore, sultan, Kr1stal, and tomaszy all deserve to be in tier 1 imo. The problem is at least two of them would be imports (three if Kazakhstan counts as Pacific and not part of CIS)
