Entirely up to you whether or not you use an extension, as it doesn't really do much other than add little things to the site that you don't necessarily need. I use yukky's VLR mainly for pinning threads to the left side of my screen and for hiding stars (which I think are pretty useless tbh)

Between VLR+ and yukky's VLR I'd say go for the latter, simply because it's newer and it's patched a lot of the things that broke on the other extension
