Alym was the unfortunate one, he is objectively good with a lot of megumi(potential), but he is behind on the meta, and koala is an objectively better OPer, Koala also is part of the callers (Artzin, Eeiu, Koala) so getting rid of him would hurt the strat side.

To those confused as to the current roster moves Fúria has done, allow me to explain
ALLAT POST INCOMING

The problem became apparent when Fúria started winning actually, if you may recall, most of Furia's success resulted from Koala's use of Yoru Op + Double Controller comps. The interesting aspect here being that these strengths came from Furia's weakness. Which is their lack of a proper sentinel, and the Alym/Koala duelist conflict.

See, at the start, Nerve was supposed to be the main IgL, however this soon became unsustainable, and nerve had to pass the role to Artzin, this did created another problem, as Nerve did not play sentinel in accordance to what the strat needed, which then made Artzin be the sentinel, but being the sentinel and IgL requires a very specific type of player, since it actively harms the IGL's job of reading the game and adapting midround since they aren't with the main group.
So Artzin was put in a shitty situation when the meta changed, as more maps needed sentinels, the strategical layer suffered.
In summary, Nerve and Artzin did roles too similar, and Artzin was deemed better at it, so to eliminate the conflict, Nerve had to be benched.
Regarding Koala V Alym, killing Yoru killed Koala's opportunity to Op in sync with Alym, this was further made worse by the Neon nerfs, as Alym's playstyle was one where he was a "distraction" while Koala was the Trader. The dynamics forced out of the team. The type of duelist needed then became the more "Aspas" like type, the OP crutch. Alym's duelist pool was nerfed, and Koala was the objectively better OPer
The question for Furia then became, do we attempt to train Alym in another role, a role we need, or do we get someone that can do the job on the go, and will cut down our required prep time?

For Alym = They would need to retrain him in another role, which would harm their scrimming in preparation for Split 2, which is very important considering the partner teams will be reduced. They want to claim importance. Also, it's a gamble as he could end up not compatible with the role needed.

For Nerve = He was competing with Artzin rolewise, and he lost, his weaknesses and Artzin's were the same, but Artzin's strengths were bigger than his.

Could they have avoided the kick? Maybe, maybe if Alym & Nerve were able to play Initiator/Sentinel.

Basic is the bigger variable. As he has been on the bench for Fúria for a longer time, however, he can play a much wider array of agents than nerve & Alym.

They have no proper lurker, Artzin doesn't work consistently, his performance on Controller can rival Valyn but his Sentinel is mid, They need to put Koala on Op heavy agents, Omen operator doesn't work, and Alym can't Op like he does, my suggestion is to send Alym to sentinel on non-chamber maps and have Koala on entry agents like Jett,Waylay.

Lack of discipline, they have the firepower to win, they have the talent to brute force a top 4, but they keep throwing by playing too separate, too individual, too disconnected, they need to understand when to not peek.

MIBR
Tex can't hold sites, Aspas doesn't entry, Zekken keeps getting sacrificed when he is the only one who is shooting, Verno can't solo call, it's clear he only excelled off of Artzin's base calling.
MiBr needs to either bring Sacy back to put Aspas in his place, or Mibr needs to swap out Tex with a player that has a strong authoritative personality, that can also second call. Mibr need a shepherd.

KRU
Saadhak doesn't trust his team when push comes to shove, you could see his tendency to overplay when loosing rounds, pressure keeps destabilizing his leadership, this is because he has the same problem Vernon has, he needs a second dedicated captain.

they were loosing in a very clear fashion, Alym was dieng too fast, Koala could barely get the op due to the economy
Artzin very clearly was struggling to adapt the plays since he wasnt WITH the team to get a proper feel around what NRG and LEV were doing, and when he tried, he had to join up with the team, which left them without a lurk, allowing the other team to take full map control and stack the sites.
Artzin is also a great aimer/trader, it is better to get him with the main attack grouping.
Alym is a decent op, swapping him for sentinel on some maps allows or Furia to have up to THREE OPS on defense (Koala, Eeiu, Alym) which was exactly what was working for them before, difference is that Koala was essentially a "second initiator" on yoru, but now due to nerfs, he was handed either omen, or alym had to play phoenix, which hinders what ive previously mentioned is needed for their success

Use this time to train Alym on sentinel.

We know Koala is a good duelist and a Great Oper.
We know Alym is a great multifragger and he gets good First kills.
We know Artzin is good at mid rounding based on the preset strats made with shaw.
We know Nerve and Eeiu are good traders. and second callers

First get Artzin off sentinel, he's not the type of IGL for that, he does better when he's with the main group, interacting with the enemy.
This will leave a problem, because Nerve apparently can't Sentinel for shit (talked about by Nerve, Artzin and Shaw themselves)
You obviously aren't going to take Eeiu off of Initiator
Sentinels usually don't allow Oping, Sentinels need to multifrag and lurk. So Koalanoob is off the table, Furia's main success came from his oping, you wanna give him that opportunity.

This leaves us Alym. In a very opportune time, Neon (his best agent) got nerfed, the double duelist meta isn't compatible with Fúria anymore.

So? Put Koalanoob on Main duelist so he can Op on defense, and you have Alym multifragging on site.
On attack it's better to still have the youngster aim of Alym then Koala's, and since attacking is mostly rifling, you want Alym alive.

If you find a map where Chamber works, Koala is Chamber, Alym is duelist.
If you find a double duelist double smoke map, you have Alym koala (D) Artzin Nerve (C)
If you need. Double duelist, one sentinel, Artzin and koala, Alym on sentinel.

Essentially, Get Alym a late round agent, stop killing him on entry. Stop first contacting him on defense, you. Have Koala's op for that, leave Alym for the retakes/siteholds
