Been throwing out names every T1 thread but
Stax or yoman for your IGL
Xccurate for your flex, take him off IGL so he can frag
Stew, Hyunmin or Izu for your duelist (Saya has to go, not sure on Izu but maybe give him another shot?)

Skye's ult is just as good if not better than Cypher's ult. Could be used in so many situations and popped at anytime. Worst ult is Iso, though I personally hate Neon's ult.

Absolutely unbelievable 3rd map. If FPX has just gotten ONE more round in the first half they would've won this game. Gutting loss for them but I hope they keep their heads up for Champs and improve their defenses/map pool. This team has so much potential. Love these guys.

LEV disbands

posted 4 months ago

Luckily for them aspas can't get kills

posted 4 months ago

How could you be so bad at a video game if you're playing at a professional level?

posted 4 months ago

We sent the wrong team home, should've been FPX vs LEV.

posted 4 months ago

aspas will avoid getting 3 kills to avoid the pi, berlin has done this previously, high IQ play

posted 4 months ago

Oh I've watched them. TYLOO is possibly the worst team in all of tier 1 right now. If you thought FURIA was bad...

I think it comes down to these guys not having enough experience. They could've won both their matches at Madrid but they got way overconfident. They lost a crazy amount of advantages to G2. It's rough in places, but when they're good they're really damn good. The firepower on the team is unbelievable. Once they work out roster issues, practice more and gain more international experience they'll be crazy.

For Icebox? Absolutely. Best Icebox I've ever seen.

Dude is an amazing support player. Would love to see him on Vitality.

We need BLG and NRG to become unwashed so we can get the rematch at Champs

posted 4 months ago

I think we're likely to see the Chinese teams (EDG/FPX/DRG/Trace likely, but who knows what Split 2 will look like for CN) be very competitive against teams in Champs this year, but it won't be until this time next year that they'll start getting huge wins.

I mean, China has clearly been the very worst region up until now. They still are the weakest region, but at this rate they might surpass EMEA.

posted 4 months ago

I think the firepower on TH is so good that Boo doesn't really need to popoff or doesn't get to show it too often, plus he's the IGL.

posted 4 months ago

This. Life leaving EDG made things better for everyone.

I'm wondering if Life suffers from hyperhidrosis. There's always a massive stack of rags that he dries his hands with during his matches.

They fucking ruined Shanghai, now we can't get more berlin cinema

Maybe, I'm just throwing out random thoughts. T1 needs a serious rework because what they got going isn't working. I really don't like xccurrate as the igl when he's arguably their most mechanically gifted player. Maybe izu as your main duelist would work but stew clears him.

I've been so disenfranchised by DRX's results. I've always said there was a time and place for the roster of mako/buzz/stax/zest/rb to win an international but they just couldn't beat the very best teams at the time. Now with Flashback out for personal reasons, buzz no longer in his prime and stax gone what the fuck is the future looking like for this team?

We've had many amazing series this year and I don't want to put down anyone. But looking at the state of play in the VCT right now it seems really difficult to stay consistent with the current format. The post-Madrid slump of so many teams and how inconsistent SO MANY teams in general have looked this year is a bit worrying.

Marved will need to join an APAC team or smurf in China, sad to see the state of pro play where a player like Marved is without a team

It's really difficult to predict FPX/TH. TH looked good against DRG, but it's DRG. When they faced a competent enough G2 they looked lost and had zero momentum. The amount of rounds they threw on Split was shameful. Meanwhile FPX have improved massively over Split 1 and have exceeded expectations at Shanghai. Their firepower is equal to TH right now.

posted 4 months ago

I feel like the lack of 'powerhouse' teams hurt the interest of the event a bit (LOUD, SEN, DRX, NAVI). We got teams that aren't at their best (TH) and teams that played really inconsistently either in playoffs or in Shanghai so far (T1, DRG, LEV, FUT, FNC). I guess post-Madrid has been a rough time for pro teams. The matches in Shanghai haven't been super competitive thus far aside from the FPX games (this team has been so entertaining and a breath of fresh air).

T1 rb

posted 4 months ago

I genuinely believe DRG is the better team

posted 4 months ago

I'm a huge TH mark but you are dogshit if you're losing 1v4 against JonahP and every advantage you possibly can. They looked lost against G2. Can't rate them highly unless they beat FPX tonight.

posted 4 months ago

If EMEA has only 1 team in playoffs (FNC) and they bomb out this region is going to get meme'd to death.

posted 4 months ago

The EDG guys love the FPX guys, I think they would feel really bad about eliminating them in Shanghai of all places. I think EDG would pick GenG.

posted 4 months ago

OP's post about Texture's CN stream seems to have been bullshit/overexaggerated but I still feel bad for GenG, link below is Meteor talking about GenG's Madrid experience. Doubt they feel too good about competing in Shanghai.

posted 4 months ago

Pretty much agree. DRX and NAVI have been said hundreds of times. Trace probably would've been more likely to win a map than DRG, doubt they would've made top 8. Split 1 in China was a mess. Mess of a team like NOVA in playoffs, JDG and BLG bombed out, throws everywhere. No idea what Champs will look like for China.

posted 4 months ago

ZETA? Had one incredible one and now they're a distant memory. I swear almost no one even puts them top 7 for Pacific. Team Secret and Talon are more likely to make Champs.

posted 4 months ago

sign yoman, sign stew, sign a ranked demon, do something different cuz this aint it

posted 4 months ago

GenG CLEAR TH right now and FPX nearly beat GenG. TH looked really weak in their match against G2. Could go either way but it's a close 50/50 game.
