most of these players were exposed as frauds lmao
EMEA is too snoozefest to watch but I will watch NAVI vs TH for the shitposting
I'm predicting
EMEA: KC
AMER: Cloud9 (I think LOUD and LEV will look rough but they're in the weaker group so they should be good)
APAC: ZETA (7th-8th best team in the region, hiro isn't very good and they have a lot of tough matches coming up)
CN: TEC
ZETA's performance on Icebox was outright shameless
Laz unable to aim
Hiro refusing to use Gekko ult
SugarZero only getting kills when the round is done and dusted because he spent the whole game lurking
she got diffed by shanks in ranked bro what are you on about
whiffing + terrible flank timing + no utility for retake + no new ideas after all that time off, zeta lookin washed on icebox ngl
jinggg? dude just sprays people down with a vandal like hes using a phantom, doesnt give a shit about headshots
I don't know what a gwangboong is but I need to hear that name more often
Honestly that's some Silver lobby shit. That would remind me of Life playing Clove on Icebox. Okay, so you're swinging into the enemy but you have no dash or satchel to prevent from getting traded. There's just no flexibility with ISO. I could see him being a niche pick (similar to the occasional Reyna on Icebox or the once in a blue moon Phoenix comp) but won't get much play.
Nah there's no way he'll find much use in pro play. ISO not having a way to create space and still having a shit kit outside of the shield will prevent him from finding use in pro play. I could see some Chinese teams picking him because they're basically playing ranked over there but that's about it.
Breeze is the worst map they created and it's criminal that it was in the last rotation. Many pros have said this but it feels like one of the least competitive maps in the games and it's so unfun to watch and play on. Icebox is poorly designed but I don't mind playing on it anymore.
I haven't looked at the stats in awhile but I recall Governor being pretty awful in Split 1, hope to see him bounce back for Split 2.
If ZETA doesn't qualify for Champs I'm feeling a roster change may be needed. DRX 2-0
Tenz masterclass on Omen incoming
GenG/PRX/DRX are staying at the top and we have no reason to believe otherwise, but T1 is debatable. Their recent performances are truly underwhelming. If there's a time for RRQ to step it up and take top 4 it's now.
Yeah just remembered they got stomped by NOVA in their last match and only got 3 rounds on attack side Lotus. TEC might be cooked.
Jett, Sova, Harbor/Viper, Omen and Cypher is what I'm feeling for the meta, though I could see teams not picking a Sentinel at all and go for the triple Controller comp with Viper acting as a Sentinel. I'm expecting some teams to go with Neon instead of Jett (probably Pacific teams) and other teams going for Chamber as their Sentinel (FUT, Talon).
Scream and Patitek would improve TL
I feel like Mindfreak is similar to FPX Lysoar. One of their better players regionally but when it's time for an international he just doesn't perform. Mindfreak was one of the worst players in Madrid and didn't perform in Shanghai either. He's the only one you could cut depending on the direction PRX wants to go.
Flex1n is an upgrade for BLG but I don't see how Trace benefits from this. YOU wasn't finding a ton of impact but Biank was the weakest player on BLG.
Flex1n is better than Biank tbh
Another match where DRG is going to look like a good team just to eventually look like a bad team in their match against EDG
I trust in BLG 2-1, they got one more in them
AG 2-0 TYLOO
JDG 2-1 TEC
Stew goes crazy here
They stomped Wolves once they switched their comms to English so let's hope it wasn't a fluke
foxy9 on duelist makes no sense when he's one of the better sentinels in apac
DFM cuz Medusa the GOAT simple as
If they get #2 in Champs or win the whole thing then there would probably an argument for top 3 of all time
meowzera pls
'fraid tenz is the best in the world, nothing we could do but watch him with another trophy at the expense of our favorite teams, sadge
If this wasn't bait you would know that Trace are likely to win champs
APAC: GenG is the best right now but they're going to be antistratted heavily, everyone knows they're a threat. DRX could go on a run. I'm doubting PRX from now on.
EMEA: Bit of a washed region right now but TH and NAVI seem likely to go quite far.
CN: EDG is washed. FPX could go on a run. I could see a Chinese team pulling another Champs upset but that's about it.
AMER: Anyone apart from the bottom feeder teams could have a run like OP said.
DRX winning champs, let's make it happen
Jett/Raze/Neon for duelist
Sova/Breach/Gekko could all work for initiator, I can't see Skye being optimal due to the map being too big and her utility not getting a ton of value (similar to Breeze)
Astra and Omen are going to be the most picked controllers I think, it might be the best Omen map, Viper/Harbor should both be strong
I think this is a map where many teams won't run a sentinel, a double controller comp feels essential for all the long sight lines and potential lurks
Mindfreak is definitely not the problem. Yeah he's underperformed in the past two internationals as opposed to his performance regionally but we're at the point where the PRX playstyle needs to change in order for them to win a tournament. GenG play some of the most disciplined val out of any team out there and they can play any map. PRX can't do that.
DFM's roster is like the weakest roster in APAC
