I think it was something similar to this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrLnMt581hY
Tho I recall it being both Streamers and Pros from each country and not just regions. I very well just may be wrong.
edit: Found a piece of what I was looking for https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vrVT0bOfYo
Although it appears the players are not from said country, just representatives for such.
Oh yeah well they could definitely do it no doubt. They did it with CS:GO iirc some years ago as well. I didn't mean to say that it's not possible to be done it's just that it wouldn't really account for an actual World Cup (regarding awarding winning countries the merit of victory) because there's no real involvement with the countries itself.
But it could definitely be done some way or the other.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think some years ago League players asked for a World Cup kinda tourney but Riot didn't do it because of this exact reason, they did Regional teams tho iirc.
The plan to make EU win the tourney to keep the heat of the game is working accordingly. Riot plain evil.
I think more than that the problem of holding a World Cup tournament is that in order to do that you need each and every other country to accept e-Sports as a real sport to be able to make a team selection to represent them for their country, which is at this point still unlikely.
Meaning that the ones choosing the players to represent their countries, just like in basketball, athletism, etc... Are the countries itself. So for that to happen we would need to see countries accepting it as a sport.
I was trying to find somewhere the % of players that actively play Valorant and do play ranked against the % of players that actively play Valorant but just play Unrated or other gamemodes.
Can't find these numbers anywhere, anybody has any idea what it is?
i know, that was not my point tho
i was makin a comment on what a change on the economy to vandal would imo do to the game
to be honest i feel like having both the phantom and the vandal at the same price is kind of unbalanced considering how much better the phantom is, but a slight change on economy to the vandal would probably make it the go-to pick for everyone given that it's not that far from the phantom
that has nothin to do with the clip
there's no aimlockin nowhere in that clip
although SEN are the unbeaten kings of NA they're not the only team in the region that's played a different region... right?
https://www.vlr.gg/pickem/fe31194e
this is exactly it
u mean between SEN and other regions
but what about the NA EU crossover man? those are some cool rivalries too
dicey > right handed wardell
dicey > left handed lledraw
verdict: dicey
really there's few analysts whose mind transcends their actual in-game rank status
He is definitely the best in the world atm. But is he the GOAT? Too soon for both him and the game to make such a statement imo.
Now I know this might come up as a stupid question given that you have SEN's flair but either way... Would you rather have SEN win that early matchup and send Acend to the lower bracket or see SEN bleed just once to come back and meet Acend in a hypothetical Grand Final?
Really hope to see this match @ Berlin. Truly feels like an anticipated match-up.
Now if this were to happen, when would you actually like them to meet?
Earlier than GF or at the very GF?
I agree with everything that you said. Streaming the game in EU is also a big part of making it important in EU for sure.
But what I meant by new young talents is exactly what I said, we don't just need new young talents (which we already have) but we need them to develop themselves, which they still need to do.
I know nothing
Yeah I would say still in Europe CS is the big thing for players and Valorant seems to be far away from dominating as the main game.
I think we'll still have to wait for new young talents to develop themselves to start seeing some big orgs get introduced into the scene or see some sort of cs european players migration.
I've seen some mixed opinions on Pansy. I overall liked it when she was brought in in Csgo, felt like fresh air. Haven't really had many chances to check her work rn.
lookin at this i feel like a mummy already feelsbad
All I see are player posts/team posts and all.
What are your favorite currently Valorant commentators and which would you like to see commentate in the future?
Nikolas "Okin" Malaspina, son of Anthony "Vanity" Malaspina is a new but not to be overlooked prodigy in the valorant community. Okin started his life off used as a foot rest for his father Vanity, this would continue until he was 4. This was when Vanity decided he was old enough to make choices on his own and kicked him out, sadly Okin enjoyed being a foot rest and didn't know or even understand how to live on his own. This was when Okin would we start to smoke cigarettes, weed (that stuff kills you know), and drink alcohol. He found friends during this hard point in his life that helped him get out of this bad habit by the age of 16. These people would be "Jet", and "Meeeeester Juan" (obviously now two of the other members of legendary free agent team "YFP Gaming." They brought him into their apartment and fed and cared for him weeks on end, although Okin could do nothing but think about how he could somehow be Vanity's foot rest again. A year passed in this apartment and Okin had finally thought of a way to get back to being a foot rest. With Vanity just recently qualifying for Iceland, he decided to make a valorant team to maybe get noticed again. Jet and Meeeeester Juan were actually extremely good at valorant so okin brought the offer to them, and Jet and Meeeeester Juan would go and recruit two other very skilled friends of theirs "Reformed" and "w0rldw1de". Together they would make the valorant free agent group YFP Gaming. After have semi-success by getting high placements in tier 2 Nerd Street Gaming Tournaments, Vanity finally caught on to who they were (as valorant pro's not as his son) and followed them on twitter. Okin was overflown with joy, and even threw a party. Okin would them appear in Vanity's chat here and there to hopefully closen their bond. As days went on vanity eventually trusted him with mod, still not knowing his true identity. Vanity may hear things like "Okin son of vanity" and pass them off as jokes, but little did he know that was pure truth. To this day Vanity still does not know, as okin is still trying to find the best time to tell him. That's the Story Okin, foot rest to valorant prodigy. Although his goals are not what others may have themselves, Okin is on his own journey. Whether he ends up as a foot rest, a top tier valorant star, or both is unclear. All we know is it will be EZ FOR OKIN.
being a trash human being doesnt really take away the skills the trash boy may have ingame
Overrated: Boorgir
Underrated: Hotpot
"the good teams didn't even qualify"
butthurt over a personal choice prediction. oh flair checked out yea
It'll come eventually. Don't even worry about it.
For now the game is growing still and once it's gotten to a point Riot Games considers it OK they're probably gonna hit it with all-year round leagues. I would say they'll find a different format than League, something similar to ELEAGUE from CS if I had to take a guess.
For now let's just ask for decent spray patterns and not rng ones :)
you aint exposed nothin man what are u buggin about lol
Acend Sentinels and G2.
Gen G too
why do u have to remove him from a weapon tho?
well thats literally what you're doing with asuna and tenz
seems like pretty much everybody else forgot about sk gaming sadge
