it feels like the gap between americas league NA teams and challengers league NA teams is pretty tiny. G2 and the guard probably wouldn't do much better than a 3-6 record (beating EG, KRU, and one upset somewhere along the line) but I think current m80 is better than 100T, mibr, maybe sen, maybe c9, and could probably beat furia or nrg depending on the day.

Lots of the players in challengers could pop off on franchise teams -- I think in terms of controllers, zander skuba vanity bdog valyn at least could hold their own, and wippie steel gmd aren't too far behind. Jakee's doing alright but c9 could actually be pretty nuts with skuba or something

I think melser has decent potential so they should keep him, but agree on dropping nagz and klaus. I think their best bet is to get a bunch of cracked zoomers and try to develop them into a great team by the start of 2024. I don't know very much about the SA scene so I don't have any players that should be added but this clearly isn't gonna work if you're gonna lose to eg the week after they swap every role and bench their best player

nagz whiffs almost an entire mag but still gets the kill because an eg player is in some random place not looking at him, but then eg wins the round anyway

to be fair crashies has never looked bad on any agent they've asked him to play

agreed actually, but I do think that runi lacks the t1 leadership experience that ayrin and dephh have. there's something to be said about having a veteran igl, and for that reason I think runi + jakee is roughly equal to ayrin + dephh

jakee and runi aren't superstars but strategically the team looks pretty good, and xset last year proved that you can have two less-than-ideal fraggers if the other three are insane and you have a good structure behind them. basically as long as jakee and runi keep finding ways to help leaf and xeppaa to pop off, the team actually looks great

I had high hopes for boostio cause he was a pretty decent chamber but he's significantly worse now, I'd sub screwface in and have demon1 play some maps

imo melser > murizz and stellar in terms of igling, and I'd switch leaf and victor. there are a few other small things I might change but I agree with a lot of this

I've filled controllers for so long in ranked that I'm basically an omen main now but if we have smokes already I'll usually play flash initiator or sentinel

100t played close against SEN and I honestly think their potential is still incredibly high. And given that EG looked way worse than I was expecting, it'll be a massive upset if they win

as much as I want to see zeta make tokyo, I don't see them even making playoffs. they might lose to like GE or something. they just don't look top 6 to me right now, but I do think they could be back to high level play with a roster change or two

at the start I was zexrow > trick and now I just think neither of them deserves a spot on a challengers team

she used to play plenty of duelist on stream so I have confidence she knows what she's doing, we'll see if it works in actual tournaments but I have high hopes for that roster

I thought the xset announcement video was joking but like. she played jett on both maps of xset's first match, and this is lowkey super exciting. I hope she ends up being one of the best duelists in the tournament

I was rooting for them before they dropped yay and vanity, and basically all I want from this match is EG to win and runi and jakee to actually perform well. I don't think they deserve any hate and so I hope they perform okay and then I want the org to lose

I think it was a combination. What we saw of FUT in brazil looked super coordinated, and we already knew they'd have insane aim because turkish players, but it's also clear that 100T weren't playing to their potential at all. I think a full strength 100T that wasn't trying to force cryo onto raze would beat FUT pretty convincingly, but FUT is much more of a contender than we all originally thought

iirc bob and katsumi were going to be part of the new xset gc roster with bunnybee and rise, but they haven't announced anything yet so idk

I think boostio is eg's igl but I could be wrong

he's more than earned this, happy he finally gets to be on the main broadcast

imo 100T's opponents have looked really good but they've also been weaker than expected. as much as I want NA to win I think it's more likely that fnatic wins and it's kinda close

side note, even as an NA fan, this tournament so far has convinced me that less is the best player in the world rn
