Even though ShahZ was a dogshit CSGO player, he was still the second best NA AWPer behind Skadoodle.

Let him roam free with an AWP and he shits on any T2, inferior team. Once he was up against a T1 or international team, the holes in his game became more exposed.

His forte has always been AWPing, but if he wants to play support in Valorant, it will be much harder for him to succeed.

Would love a bhop or surf game mode. Even their snowball mode was fun

Low key ShahZ would be a huge upgrade over Tex as the Jett OPer, but he would struggle filling in for Valyn

I disliked Pearl because it was a very ratty map. Great for pro play, but awful in ranked.

I love Haven because it’s simple and unique with the 3 sites. It’s the perfect ranked map. I also think Ascent is a great map, albeit it can be very defensive sided.

Is Sunset more similar to Pearl or Haven and Ascent?

This is the first I’ve actually watched Curry play Valorant for an extended amount of time. He’s definitely pro level good, however he seems to overthink A LOT and that bites him in the ass during clutch situations

Shahz should have stuck with Jett as he is legitimately a top OPer. He was the top AWPer in NA CSGO at one point but his overall CSGO ability was weak.

He is an average rifler in Valorant. There are plenty of players who can do what Shahz does on initiator.

It looks and feels like a fun pug map.

So far I think it’s closer to Ascent and Haven, which should be the litmus test in terms of great ranked maps.

Maps like Pearl, Fracture, and Lotus are too team oriented for Ranked, and I think Sunset is not similar to these maps.

Codey, wasn’t a OW pro but was considered the best Sombra

Also not a Val pro, but he holds the highest RR peak with 1361 as a Yoru main

They needed to help defenders on the map. Treat it like it’s Split now

It feels much more defensive sided now. It kind of feels like they have dumbed down the map and made it more casual friendly.

It still plays similar to old Breeze with the long gun fights though

I live in TX so I only play on the TX server, but I decided to try Illinois for a couple of games, and I was flabbergasted at the difference in the quality of games in low Immortal.

TX:

• Texas servers are much more toxic. There is much less comms about strategizing, and more comms trying to be edgy and weird.
• There is usually one player who force buys every round and just runs it down
• Criticism in TX servers is unacceptable. If you criticize someone, prepare to have them throw or personally insult you.

Illinois:

• Overall comms are great. People are actually strategizing and trying to win
• No one is running it down blindly or force buying every round
• There is criticism, but it’s more constructive and the recipient doesn’t take offense
• The average player is more well spoken on Illinois and can articulate more clearly

Basically the average IQ in Illinois is about 50 points higher than TX and it’s just more civilized. It’s truly a breath of fresh air playing on a different server.

Btw, on TX I get 20 ping and on Illinois I get 40 ping. It’s actually impossible trying to hold angles on 40-50 ping.

Loud matches up extremely well against FNC, but even though Loud beat FNC, they are still slightly worse overall imo.

In terms of 1v1 post plant, yes CSGO is much harder, because everyone has a smoke.

Ethan is by far the most decorated CSGO player that plays Valorant. He simply has more experience in these 1v1 post plant situations than anyone else. He’s seen it all before in the harder game. You simply cannot outmaneuver him in these scenarios!
