I don't think many people had a fond opinion of EG prior to this
Grooming, from what I understand, would be presenting yourself as a friend like figure to build up trust with someone and then abusing that trust by trying to turn your relationship with them into a sexual one. Its often to try to confuse the victim in a deceitful way.
In my opinion, keenC is explicit that he wants a sexual relationship, so it would just be pedo-ish depending on the age, but doesn't imply any grooming.
Eh, to each their own. Personally not for me, but everyone's free to like what they want to.
Anything about the contradictory tone? Like, would you say she's agreeing or saying it in a condescending way to disagree? I can't understand the intention very well.
Could someone explain what these tweets mean, especially pse. From what I could tell on Google, its essentially, "that's true," but some say it can be used in a contradicting tone.
The replies to https://twitter.com/daikifps/status/1712266315371560964?t=PfPbLd1b2Vr_U6LJYVt9jA&s=19
"é daiki, tudo q foi falado por nós se comprova infelizmente"
"pse."
Thanks
What all those years not being verified, only for it to be taken away right after he got it, did to him
I need ShibaInu to make a comeback so that the average GC thread can just be them being weird.
These are the relevant tweets

Person on twitter @rankup shares dm of keenC saying some stuff to a 17 yr old (I think it was them) when keenC is 19. Later, she posts a similar thing except this time the person is 16. Starting to look like a pattern of saying weird things to underage girls. Not inherently bad considering they didn't act on it. However, there are dms that suggest they might be faking their NB status in order to get into GC. Assuming this is true, when you put it all together, it paints a picture of someone who is abusing NB status to play in GC which could be placing them in positions of power over female teammates which they could possibly exploit. The last part is entirely conjecture but can help explain why some people might be worried about faking NB.
It's not grooming if you're explicitly saying you wish they were 18. It's just creepy.
I can't answer for sure, but this would be how I would expect any marginalization to occur. meL was turned down from competing on some teams due exclusively to her being a woman. Women in general experience a feeling of otherization when playing games, people making sexist jokes, being asked if they're a girl any time they talk, being the only girl in games a lot of the time, etc. It's possible that situations similar to these exist for NB people.
Again, I don't feel comfortable defending it too much because I don't know enough about it, so if someone more knowledgeable than me wants to comment, that would be appreciated.
Fair, some conditions are worse than being schizo
Well, it's a tough question tbh. The point of game changers is to let people who are marginalized from normal competition get a place to develop. Our normal notion of these people would be cis-women, and recently trans women. It's possible that NB experiences a similar marginalization, but the rise in NB is so recent that it's hard to say for sure. I think Riot has made the conscious decision to allow NB players to compete, and that's their prerogative. The only thing I worry about is that people are going to be afraid to call out people that are obviously faking NB because they think it hurts the credibility of all NB players in the league.
Stands for Non-binary. From what I understand it's a gender-dysphoria-esque feeling of being neither a man nor a woman. They choose to identify as NB in order to avoid that feeling. Tbh I don't know enough about it, so I'm uncomfortable defending it in the same way I would defend a normal trans man or trans woman, but I personally don't have any problems with it until someone shows me some research proving it's fake.
DMs leak that someone transitions to compete in GC > they get called out for faking
If people are using it as an excuse to shit on any NB or any trans person in GC obviously that's not okay, but don't get caught up in defending someone trying to abuse the system. If KeenC is faking NB, which the DMs seem to show, it's a disservice to all the legitimate trans and NB people trying to compete to defend their abusing NB status.
Idk bro, normally when someone talks about intentionally transitioning to NB in order to compete in GC, that's a pretty good sign they're faking it. Even if you don't believe they're faking it, someone like that wouldn't have experienced any marginalization that game changers is supposed to account for.
Apparently, them faking NB has been a rumor for a long time. I'm assuming that's what the's referring to.
If you're talking about n4rrate, it was a rumor or leak a while back, around when FNS and s0m were first starting to leave NRG.

Admittedly, I may have missed something, but I haven't seen anything that says that yet. Link?
Moose playing in the games? That came out of nowhere.
Are you planning on only adding the GC flairs for teams that qualify for the championship? I want to rep the goat suzu even if ZETA doesn't qualify through East Asia.
I'm hoping they're just waiting until all the teams have qualified for the GC championship to add them. East Asian and APAC haven't qualified yet.
I believe it was a team that was peaking at the screen for the audience to watch to see where the other team was. Here's a video that probably explains it better than me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYkoTA9cp5Q
I don't like that people pretend like CS doesn't have a lot of shit that people have to learn. Stuff like counter strafing, recoil patterns, lineups, run boosting, etc. Learning 22 agents' abilities isn't that hard, there are MOBAs that have way more characters and more complex mechanics. If you play Valorant, you know what's happening here. Sure it's going to look really chaotic when they have like 4-5 people util dumping, but tell me it's not confusing when people dump smokes and mollies on a site in CS.
These aren't reasons why Val will never be better than CS, it's reasons why someone doesn't like Val. Which is fine, just don't like when people will denigrate other games when their favorite one does similar shit.
For 99% of big streamers, they don't stream because they just enjoy streaming, it's their job.
I vaguely recall some drama where oxy was listening to music during challengers this year, and then people got upset because Trent was told he couldn't listen to music during the game. I don't think anything really came of it though.
I would guess that since Leaf was considered 90% ( I think) likely on the spreadsheet at one point for G2, but then suddenly it switched to Jawgemo, I'd guess that another team that hasn't been leaked as much snatched him up. I find it really hard to believe that people just decided that Leaf was bad considering he's a really good duelist and can flex well.
Don't have phone, jewellery or clothes then I guess.
The grouping of South America and North America into one group was just a bad mistake. I think it makes a lot more sense in EMEA or Pacific, because geographically they're a lot more close than, for example Los Angeles and Brazil
This line of reasoning doesn't even make sense.
Your argument is essentially, it's okay to stream snipe streamers because they open themselves up to the risk.
Is it okay to be mugged because you walk alone at night? Is it okay for someone to break into your car if you park it on the street?
Sure streamers are doing something that by nature will attract these people, but that doesn't make what they're doing okay.
2022: OPTC/LOUD for me. Both tied
Making a sustainable profit is a pipedream for most esports orgs.
Hard to justify investing in that to shareholders or investors.
Also, I have a hard time believing this would make a difference for most football teams. The sport has been around for ever, if you were going to be a fan of it, I don't think esports is going to be the thing to get you into it.
I will never get over the fact that Riot put promotional material like this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4OyfAbvDtE&pp=ygUQbGFraWEgdmN0IGNoYW1wcw%3D%3D) for him at Champs 2021 only for VS to let him play a grand total of ... 1 map.
GC flairs are criminally underrepresented. APAC has a million random T2 logos, but apparently it's too much to add GC flairs.
I legitimately don’t understand how people watch him. He was already annoying enough when he just screamed and whined all the time, but now with all this stream sniping stuff, I can’t understand how anyone watches him and enjoys it. I’m convinced it’s like 95% hate watchers at this point.
I hate Wardell, but I will always enjoy someone shitting on Leorge.
If the G2 was the same one that won split 1/2 I’d agree, but they lost 2 players to retirement or pursuing a different game. They kept the points because they retained the core of 3. Sure the core is the same, but the difference in the level of performance is almost night and day.
Idk. Maybe it isn’t a point system issue, but the qualifying of G2 after winning 1 game in playoffs is just absurd to me.
For instance, say C9 qualified for champs in 2022 because they were 3rd place in split 1, and then the curry incident happens, and the team is clearly not anywhere near as good as before. It’s not exactly a 1:1 comparison, but imagine how that would feel to teams that do better than C9.
I’d be a lot more sympathetic to G2 if it seemed like this was just an off tournament, if you’re good the entire year and then you just drop a couple matches that you should win that would suck. However, in this situation, they had roster changes (which I get weren’t their fault) and have struggled to perform ever since. It’s clearly not the same team that won those earlier splits.
Chances? Yes. Are they realistic? Probably not.
I also don’t like the fact that NA runs on a points system, I just didn’t mention it because I figured V1 is going to win anyway and the second place would probably be the one that ends up going given how close the competition in second place has been. If EG GC placed second, and Shopify ended up going on points I’d be upset as well, it just hasn’t happened yet.
I don’t think early success should be as impactful as to nearly guarantee you a spot in a championship. The issue I have is that G2 are clearly at the moment not a top 2 team in EMEA GC. Assuming the goal of the tournament is supposed to be getting the top 2 teams of each region, how does that achieve this? Imagine being on the 2nd place team in EMEA, whoever that may be, how would you feel that you climbed all the way to the top, but that the roster that placed lower than you gets to go because they won the last two tournaments.
It’s also important to note that G2 placed 4th, but they qualified after winning their first game in playoffs, no?
Edit: if riot added more slots, say 4 for EMEA, and G2 didn’t place within the top 4 I would have the same issue.
I don’t believe it’s been officially confirmed yet. A lot of people seem to believe they cheated, but some people think otherwise.
I don’t believe T1 have played an official with the starting roster. I believe xcurrate will be starting instead of carpe.
Not to mention that one of the teams that could be screwed over is Falcons from mena, which if I’m correct would be the first LAN appearance for the region as a whole, not just GC.
Anyone else a little annoyed that GC still uses this point system for LAN qualifying. Sure, I get that there’s not really a viable option for a VCT or T2 ascension style system, but surely there’s something better than this right?
G2 automatically qualify because they were good at the start of the year, and then roster changes happen, and while still being a top team have 3 other GC teams place above them, only 1 of which will be able to attend the LAN because of the system.
I get having a system that helps reward actually winning the first split, but surely we can arrange it in a way that a team that has a drop in performance similar to that of G2 doesn’t get free qualification to the most important event for the GC circuit.
I don't think this is a meaningful distinction. I can't believe that the "anti-cheat" team could also be the one that does ban evasion. But it still doesn't answer the question, if they believed the reason to be ban evasion, why would they put out such a vague statement that clearly has a cheating implication?
key part is "Riot Anti-Cheat confirmed..." I can't find the tweet from the jhow incident, but I don't see anything mentioning riot anti-cheat there.
also edit for my 2nd point. That's my point. Why would they put out a message that infers cheating if that wasn't the case? Also, Microsoft and sony not naming hackers isn't the same as Riot not naming cheaters.
