young player thats been hyped up as insane for a good while now, so im fully on board to see how he does in t1
especially after we had something and demon1 this year

posted about a year ago

alright you might be on to something here

posted about a year ago

not really
round 21 ange1 won 2 duels stopping the push (so the rest of the team got stuck behind a sage wall) and 22 was lost to odin spam
neither of the round the igling was particularly bad, nor did kolda mess up any shots

posted about a year ago

the actual reason guild lost is that suygetsu decided that fpx werent going into OT map 1, walking into mid and killing 4 people in duels
Guild werent losing otherwise since sayf had woken up at that point

TLDR as requested (id recommend watching the video if you're even slightly interested since I cant guarantee I properly represented GN's points):

LMG refers to Linus and his company

Very large amount of errors in their reporting - both in data, basic quality control as well as conclusions (for example GN questions a conclusion on a Noctua fan which goes against LMGs own data, due to LMG working together with Noctua on screwdrivers)

Rushed videos (i.e. not correcting mistakes and at best adding an * on screen correcting it instead of re shooting) & information getting lost in the chain due to the size of the company

TON of conflicts in interest/bias (examples given are: Linus keeps covering Laptops despite him investing 200k into a laptop brand, the Noctua thing from above)

Doing reviews which they know they don't have qualifications for ->
an example GN give, then coming to the conclusion that the product (from a super tiny company!) they knowingly installed wrong was a bad product and not being willing to properly test it:
"Linus in order to protect his company's bottom line, was willing to potentially inflict immeasurable harm to a [2 person] startup, rather than spend a couple of hundred bucks in someone else's time [to retest a major error on their part] out of the 100 million dollar company's coffers. "
Also keeping the prototype and selling it despite the company explicitly wanting it back, to give it to other creators/continue development using it

LMG doubling down on wrong statements (and blaming the company for it) and even when they then have to accept the mistake not taking the video down: see Pwnage Mouse section

LMG fans lashing out at companies/reviewers when they point out major issues in LTT videos

Conclusion: Unfair to Consumers, Manufacturers & other Reviewers
100 million company, Linus Media Group, brand themselves as consumer first, yet act in a careless, irresponsible, bottom line first way

I dont know sadly, no one I asked had any info on it (/wanted to tell me)
Jack Igoe did observe during Lock-In so possibly, but the fact that 2 leakers were both fully on board with replacing an absolute stat monster with t2 players leads me to believe that there might still be issues

posted about a year ago

eeeeh they deserve criticism, they looked horrible - not t1 level but watching sliggy lose his mind is a rare thing
its such a fall from grace too, they looked really good in EMEA and then decent in Tokyo

Theyve had internal issues with sayf committing "team terrorism" (quote from an observer, Jack Igoe, who said that on his stream when speculating about roster moves - with neither bodork or flyn disagreeing with the take of Sayf potentially getting replaced) apparently so idek

they always have been
they also caused the first international br drama by using a clip from frz out of context (wasnt directed at sen) which lead the the zombs trashcan

Their duel vs NaVi shall be legendary, with both teams revealing 4 years worth of saved strats in the grand final

NA actually living the dream of having good FA IGLs

posted about a year ago

I have tried to go pro in the best f2p game of 2018, Paladins Champion of the Realm
only being saved by the fact that they shut down their t1 league right before valorant

posted about a year ago

ye he fragged too much, so Clouds couldnt get to the 400 acs he would have otherwise

posted about a year ago

to be fair to them they actually looked pretty good again against KOI in the rematch, so who tf knows what theyre doing
biggest swings we've seen in a while

posted about a year ago

Riot could add a region clause, though 1 group will always have 2 EMEA teams
would result in decent groups too if the pools end up similar to how OP described them

edit: thats what I get for not refreshing before posting

posted about a year ago

the only true replacement: get bonkar back from NA

posted about a year ago

I would have pointed at the fade instead of skye but ye, think its fine for NaVi to just embrace peoples mains for once
They only have a day of practice realistically

posted about a year ago

NaVi bringing out comps to match their players strengths, wtf is this

posted about a year ago

well scream got to make the team, he was brought on before the coach

Look I get the main point you're trying to make but that's just not what gaslighting is.

"Gaslighting is an insidious form of manipulation and psychological control. Victims of gaslighting are deliberately and systematically fed false information that leads them to question what they know to be true, often about themselves. They may end up doubting their memory, their perception, and even their sanity" from https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/basics/gaslighting

There was no gaslighting here. Its just 2 people straight up being excessively toxic to each other resulting in a racist remark towards a unrelated 3rd party. There's video recordings of it.

posted about a year ago

no not really
Kolda finished the regular season with 130 acs (matching bonkars worst tournament performance), while doing so much worse in the rating department
Combine this with the fact that bonkar had a way less frag focused playstyle compared to Kolda and it aint looking good (in an interview when asked why he swapped away from the breach Bonkar gave something along the lines of "it feels like I sometimes forget I have a gun" as the reason, which characterizes his gameplay from the time pretty well ngl xD)

That being said obviously frags arent exactly what makes an IGL a good IGL so it doesn't matter that much. Kolda managed to get Guild to their first ever lan. Kolda is a good IGL.
If he manages to lead his team to Champs then he's doing his job, and he looks to be on track for it atm.

That isnt relevant
If Riot finds it necessary to act both Flip and TenTen wont be allowed to compete in general, since they broke the code of conduct, instead of just getting kicked from their team like TenTen did

Personally im pretty sure the "investigation" is already done since Flips post talked about mediation with a 3rd party (which would be a rather unusual reaction for 2 people being toxic to each other) and we wont hear any more from Riot

The author made the clips himself so it aint exactly being lazy
I just assume hed rather watch the game than swap between streams after every clip

posted about a year ago

they can keep him as their 6th man and play him once a year as 2nd duelist

posted about a year ago

Oh yea KOI played amazing no doubt
but NaVi also looked pretty bad today so idk
They're definitely suffering from having to play a lan while other lcq teams got to take a break imo

posted about a year ago

that is hardly relevant for the above dataset since its not exclusively based on EMEA (and at the time this data was taken Liquid had only played 2 matches on split)

a team preforming bad doesnt make a character bad - the sage isnt the reason TL only got 9 kills (5 of which were the cypher) in 6 rounds total on attack vs NRG, thats just them getting owned

posted about a year ago

Nah its a pretty good comp
Sage is super strong on Split in general; LEGIJA posted some stats a while ago (after Lothars sage take) and as you can see she works pretty well with cypher https://twitter.com/LEGIJAcs/status/1647723653809979393/photo/1

the long range shorty kill on the planter to send it into another round

that round was..... idek

(in Sliggys chat) ZE1SH said that he just had Sideshow shouting at him in his head after that round

pretty dang good for a debut actually
nothing special on map 1, did really well on map 2 which TH won, and pretty bad on map 3 (though TH didnt know how to deal with KOIs comp in general so it didnt really matter)

posted about a year ago

its a ton of random questions so I dont think I can summarize much xD

main thing chat is asking about is "how do you rate xy player/team"

Monyet and Bazzi have been SO nice for GE; out of the 4 duelists I wasnt expecting that the 2 flexing would be the ones carrying

posted about a year ago

I think he'd do well, ye^
Tenz is looking pretty good while hes the secondary duelist, so if he's on a team that wants to commit the playstyle, like prx, he should do well

Just look at the Bind vs 100t, he was doing a pretty dang good Something impression of just drifting around the map and taking duels in offangles

I just dont think Sen is the team for it tbh, and idk if theres another team that would be looking to make a prx like structure with tenz

posted about a year ago

he still is as far as we know, b0i just gets to do timeouts now so hes the one we see on stream

posted about a year ago

main reason I've seen is that they wont have time to get visas so the chance for them to not be able to attend champs is way too high

posted about a year ago

I opened stream right before he started screaming and oml that was a jumpscare and a half

japanese fanbase went absolute wild with the whole situation
main thing he got critique over afaik is the go back to your anime comment (which some have explained to referring to TenTens profile picture being an anime one, rather than referring to TenTen playing in Japan) and the fact that they have apparently been beefing for a while before the clip happened

Haven't seen anything actually worth looking into, but ig we'll see what riot finds in their dms
