Really disappointing series considering what Fokus showed during the initial match
and dang cned raze might actually work next year, thats was pretty good
he was the star during his time on MOUZ, its just that the team disappointed in the important games
but yea his time with fokus is gonna be important for properly pinning down how good he is in different environments
theres hardly any opportunities to play vs tier 1 nowerdays wdym? like even top tier 2 teams like focus only get to play them in proper games during the offseason
Watch the g2 vs fut game, its a much better representation
theres still a big difference for sure, and g2 were still missing shots they'd never do in a offical (cough cned knife cough), but they were shooting back in that one
At the end of the day games like this are essential for GC to ever catch up - you have to be allowed to play the top tier teams in officials to try and reach their level (and hopefully teams like g2 will continue to take chances like this despite the backlash)
the surrender button does work in customs tbf
totally unbiased but that was a dang fun map to watch
https://twitter.com/d3ffo111/status/1664209743215296512
ye he dropped from 255 acs to 166 acs after the month "break"
idk if its only ping to blame, but there was a huge difference
he only started struggling after he had to leave china and play on ping, no? or was he allowed to come back at some point and I just missed that
he was "famous" for his aim a year ago after trying to drag a TH roster through the open qualifiers to VCT https://www.vlr.gg/62751/team-heretics-vs-valar-morghulis-champions-tour-europe-stage-1-challengers-1-ro128
Then he joined MOUZ who always looked amazing, except when it came to games that actually mattered
Respected in DACH but no reason for anyone outside to know him since he hasnt been able to show off his talent yet
theyre building a new team atm so it looks like theyre staying
he did enjoy the idea of making one on nobody so theres hope
He's an interesting player who I see doing well in t2
His playstyle doesnt feel like it would currently translate into t1 unless you have a prx-esque roster that thrives off of aggression. I dont think EMEA has any of those teams atm (and TH who picked up keloqz, who's also way too agressive for t1 imo, didnt find much success)
He has the mechanical skill to keep up with the top players, so as long as he finds a team with a coach to develop him for a longer period of time I do see him being a tier 1 prospect someday
weeeeeell.... polaris is looking to be very top heavy this year again so idk if youre gonna get an answer soon
? youre upset he's playing in an offseason tourney? thats a new one
here are his stats from playing in t2 leagues
https://www.vlr.gg/event/stats/1778/valorant-challengers-2023-dach-arcade (offseason, but only t2 teams included)
https://www.vlr.gg/event/stats/1552/challengers-league-dach-evolution-split-2
https://www.vlr.gg/event/stats/1430/challengers-league-dach-evolution-split-1
https://www.vlr.gg/event/stats/1236/valorant-regional-league-dach-evolution-unity (offseason, but they only played 1 map against t3)
https://www.vlr.gg/event/stats/987/valorant-regional-league-dach-evolution-stage-2 (first appearance in t2 and ended up getting benched mid season)
DACH for sure isnt the most competitive sub Region in EMEA but a DACH team was able to win "ascension" (at the time still promotion) so its not like youre talking about a throwaway region either
And yes the level is comparable (I wouldnt say better since its always super hard to compare cross regions due to playstyles) to the Japanese t2 scene
The most likely reason he left the FA "V" team is because a t2 org approached him (otherwise no reason not to show off his talent during the offseason)
Roster is scary af, considering how much polaris talent is joining t1 Im curious to see if anyone can file a roster that can beat them
they dont have an indian version and im not familiar with your guys' market, so youll have to look around a bit yourself. In general this "sample" build is pretty close to a what id go for https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/nfZxFT/modest-amd-gaming-build
in germany the rx 6650 is a lot cheaper and should also be fine if youre playing on low settings anyways for 240hz valorant so you could also consider that
but also... are you sure its not worth taking your pc apart and just rebuilding it wherever youre going? 750$ isnt exactly cheap
no youre doing based on where they live, thats already a significant restriction
sure you can add more restrictions with how long they need to live there or whatnot, but thats for riot to work out
you could make amend the existing rules to let russians to be "region locked" after they play in an official vct game in one region, similar to what we're seeing with players like Russ who have a dual citizenship
insane potential, apparently flexible (shazam interview) but doesnt look very disciplined
if he meshes well with Immi I can see him doing good against the more established names in NA, although I wouldnt expect another demon1 situation
no one actually is dw
but we need some stuff so regions can insult each other again, vlr users gonna have a withdrawal otherwise
Nah you example with g2 is exactly why we need a point system in GC.
If you completely remove the points then what are teams playing for in split 1 & 2? GC only has 1 international lan to attend per year
And actually look at the points: it already rewards better performances late into the season WAY more (4th place in split 3 is double the points of winning split 1, and 1st place of split too is 5 points less than 7th-8th in split 3) + gives a direct qualification to the current best team.
https://liquipedia.net/valorant/VCT/2023/Game_Changers/Circuit_Points/EMEA
A team that wins 2 out of 3 splits and then places 4th in the other split deserves to make it to a lan.
dont you start using logic on vlr mister! >:(
yea this is the right decision
imagine dsg auto win -> so dsg vs Shopify -> dsg win
now either shop or complexity will get knocked out despite both winning their games against noot noot
or do you even have to redo part of the qualifiers so other teams dont get screwed over?
it just creates a mess and games will have be rushed with little prep time to stay at least somewhat close to schedule
And ofc it sucks for dsg, like it reeeealy sucks, but at least from a TO perspective this makes sense
not wrong either
he was highest acs player in all of dach last season too (despite his team drawing almost every game) and his all time stats would make even nieSoW blush
live now on https://www.twitch.tv/projectvgg
for those interested in some (this is still a mix) of fokus' new additions for next season
quick 2-0 for fokus, al0rante doesnt lose in DACH group stages
Its uni so youre naturally gonna be mixed with the wildest levels of motivation
That being said your prof should have systems in place to make sure everyones contributing, no?
do you not have code review, presentations about your code snippets, portfolios documenting your individual progress or even just marking code snippets by owner? cause Ive had to over deliver for projects too, but at least I was rewarded both in grades as well as attention I got from tutors when I had a problem
oh thats a good shout actually, I have 0 clue about china gc, gotta check that out sometime
also amazing that they get lans
What are current ongoing off-season tournaments that don't show up on the VLR? Gotta go back to uni so I need some vods for the train rides and getting sneak peaks of next seasons t2 rosters is always fun
DACH currently has https://liquipedia.net/valorant/PROJECT_V/2023/THE_POKAL and https://www.vlr.gg/event/1779/a1-esports-valorant-cup-4/group-stage, are there any others?
Doing damage in t2 polaris on LPB
He was also trialing for t1 teams, but I havent seen many trial rumors anymore so no clue if thats still ongoing (iirc one of the teams was koi, so we might see him again since everyone else keeps stealing their picks xD)
anything up to 110°c is in spec for this gen iirc, but its definitely on the (very) high end
if you're looking for support on how to properly deal with it i'd check what brand it is and ask/check on the corresponding reddit
Its a huge shame, Alive has been an incredible player for ~2 years now, however its not like hes stuck on a bad team with acend either
But yea the reports of Alive trialing with t1 teams stopped way earlier than with other players (instead people noting that he was actively scrimming with acend again) so I was somewhat expecting this
I think its risky: Fut were always a team thats greater than the sum of its parts for me, so these stat based roster moves could mess that up
At the same time if Fut are aiming to win an international event they do need the changes so im not entirely against it - both new players are cracked mechanics wise
iPhone 6s till it finally breaks enough
thats not a fair comparison, Chefstrobel clears everyone
yup, he's an interesting trial
DACH cooking with their trials atm, might actually have a good league this season
d3ffo back to farming
so youre saying we're about to be invaded by GE fans?! people better stop hating rn
Yea it was a good analysis
Covers both positives and negatives (though more time is spent on the negative, but thats just where his analysis lead him)
Cant really comment on if its constructive, since it more points out stuff rather than suggesting fixes (vlr tenz fanboys/haters should def watch it for the extra ammo)
he's part of the responsible reporting "movement" atm where they actually wait for a finalized deal (since apparently more orgs started aggressively dropping negotiations if the potential signing gets leaked beforehand) so I doubt he'll miss
goat of the offseason so far
well nah they wont be the worst org since they at least pay (still a horrible org mind you)
t2 in EMEA has had "orgs" that do not pay AND get the players kicked out of the league (since the org owns the spot)
just vlr being broken
itll get fixed eventually
Currently Project V is hosting the finals of their half a year long t3 circuit (https://liquipedia.net/valorant/PROJECT_V/2023/Split_2/Circuit_Points)
This however does not show up in the Matches Tab, despite VLR tracking both the tournament and the match (https://www.vlr.gg/270678/entropy-vs-lions-project-v-2023-split-2-finals-playoffs-gf)
On the other-hand other t3 tournaments (for example the finals of the Female ProjectV year or the current knights tournament) show up without problems
What is the deciding factor on whether tournaments show up as live?
Looks pretty good
Big question is how well magnum will IGL since afaik we've never seen him be the primary IGL
I wouldnt expect this roster to make an international event, but given the supposed budget I dont mind this lineup
the greatest Lithuanian team of all time... had they only gotten signed as a 5
I really like this team ngl
been waiting ages for boo and miniboo to reunite, didnt expect it to be a tier 1 team of all places but im all for it
yesnt
he wasnt a fragger to say the least during his time in tier 1, but he stepped up a lot during in t2 and his playstyle did improve for a support player
whether or not its worth it to bring a player into pacfic whos main value is "experience in EMEA" idk, ig time will tell
its definitely an interesting signing
also he's probably one of the best indian players to sign atm thanks to actually having time in tier 1 already
