No reports as of now. I can confirm for now that OCE has only one slot, barring any further changes. Potential OCE, but no concrete evidence of so.

Game isn't officially out in China, due to the NPPA freeze. Only this year that from the social media side of things that they start to push for more publicity.

I'll have to say no for now. Official news post have said that OCE will get 1 slot as of now, with independent confirmation. Of course this could change, but there's no indication OCE gets two slots.

Don't look at Twitch. We suck at Twitch. Look at Youtube and Facebook for a better metric.

Around early June for APAC Playoffs

Because apparently they're not using it and opted for the Moon name for the rest of the group stage maybe?

Flaring alr signed to a team just yesterday

PRX, and only PRX. Bren (now Secret) were supposed to qualify for the event but visas were hard to acquire.

No, no. Two slots. They're right. As of this moment, the official news post stated it's two slots.

Aaaand fixed. Good thing I rechecked some of the later match threads.

xccurate literally came in post-CSGO break and topfragged.

That's a Danish team

He tried his shot at Valorant, then went back to CSGO, then took a break from CSGO, before being registered lowkey as a sub for Persija at the start of VCT apparently

Nah, round robin group stage for seeding.

Man has not played an official both in CSGO and Valorant in quite a while. Just need time to get used to it again.

Not always. It just so happened that PPGL/Mineski handled APAC Challengers at that time.

Can't really do that, tbh. With the streams directly linked to the channel, it's up to YT's algorithm to ultimately show what's being shown. So if it's showing the Hindi stream, that's not on us.

Okay, it hadn't popped up just then. Editing it back!

It should be H2H in some form

Like I said, it's probably going to be similar to Clash from League of Legends. It's their in-game tournament system, where players can create teams to compete in tournaments made by Riot.

Did you mean Clash but Valorant? It's an in-game tournament system.

I don't mind if it's a simple 2-0 without anything too deep in tone. Heck, I'd do it once in a while. I don't mind a shitpost or two.

What I do mind when a person posted on every single match thread, then claim he wants to be an analyst, complaining. Troll/shitpost or not, I'm just sick of it. It sets a precedent.

posted about 3 years ago

You don't think I noticed every time I checked a match thread? Every time I update a particular match? I'm just sick of it.

posted about 3 years ago

Because I'm just tired of seeing the person saying he wants to be an analyst but simply commenting scores on every single thread. I do not appreciate the disrespect to those who are actually doing the work properly.

posted about 3 years ago

Shooting your shot trying to become a wannabe analyst by predicting every match score won't get you anywhere.

Analyze why they got the 2-0 win, don't simply mention the scores. Watch their VODs, watch their POVs, and see how their agent comp had succeeded against the enemy team (ability utilization, positioning,) map bans, map selections, etc.

Posting "2-0. 2-1. 3-2" on every match thread won't make you an analyst. It's a disservice to those who are actually doing them.

Also if APAC is to combined without an offline competition, the ping will be severe. It sucks. 2021 APAC LCQ can attest.

posted about 3 years ago

Hey, I've seen this topic before!

Short answer; we'll have it for the premier league with KR, JP, and current APAC (SEA, SA, and OCE) teams competing.

But for the Tier 2 teams? No. People don't realize that you already can see the current Challengers system in APAC as a relatively more bigger regional leagues. People often underestimate SEA's size and subregion. 6 subregions with hundreds of teams lying in wait for their chance at glory. That's thousands of players too.

It's a much complicated situation compared to EMEA and the playerbase is much more intrinsically tied to each subregion. National pride is such an important thing here (and everywhere else,) but more so considering that APAC regional Challengers holds more weight rather than EU's Regional Leagues.

At the top, I agree, not completely, but it'll give quite the insight into how APAC+JP+KR teams will compete on an even playing field (2021 APAC LCQ was a mess.)

But for Tier 2 below? Subregion will have a place, and regional leagues will ensure that more new talents will arise.

It's all t0fu! He's the one updating the live scores for PH, while I'm more of a hands-off approach. He's a great staff to have.

There was a report saying that Riot is opening APAC offices. I do remember that one of the mention opening an office in India.

posted about 3 years ago

Actually, this is the official VCT circuit for India. Weird that they've contracted a third party, but they also do this for OCE as well, hence OCE Tour exist. For India, I have no idea exactly why they took this route, but it seems like a decent enough avenue. With Riot opening APAC offices including in India soon, I expect a more hands-on approach for Riot events in the future.

Someone had set the match times wrong and I didn't noticed. Fixed!

posted about 3 years ago

The MY/SG cast have taken a lot of flak, especially from the players themselves. Other regions so far have been smooth sailing.

posted about 3 years ago

It was my decision when I made the page. Since the female team uses the Indian flag, I followed logic and made it the same since there's two Indian players anyway. I think there's a chance I'll make it the UN (International) flag since technically it's not the majority, but if it's not garnering too much of a negative response, it'll stay.

We can't do pickems for round-robin.

posted about 3 years ago

Nah. I haven't changed it. Vietnam still has 3. The slots remain unchanged.

It's not. I'm sorry.

edit: Done.

Honestly no clue. I found different interpretations somewhere else, so I may suspect this is a bug.
