PRX literally had the first pick and they had so much time to prep for G2 but they still lost so badly.
No excuses for them here, we take the L here, move on, go next, and do better.

Surely this will be a close 2-1 either way?
Back-to-back win against 1st seeds would be crazy for GenG.

posted 6 months ago

Chances of TH failing to farm their last CN team, EDG?
If that happens the lower bracket will be brutal for EMEA teams icl.

On defense:
FNC is so good at punishing aggression while GenG is good at retakes.

I'm supporting GenG but this is the high-level gameplay we need. Banger map to start.

EMEA v America : 1-3

EMEA v Pacific : 0-2

EMEA v CN : 4-1
Total : 5-6

EMEA v CN : 3-1 (Shanghai)
TH qualifies to Shanghai Playoffs by beating both DRG and FPX.
FUT qualifies to Shanghai Playoffs by beating DRG and LEV.

Banger Icebox match tho from both teams (TH vs FPX) wp.
Nt FPX.

posted 6 months ago

FPX seems to have a weak map pool given that they are not confident enough to pick Bind/Split?
I know they are best at Sunset/Lotus but they should have known that
TH is also strongest at Sunset/Lotus, but weak at Bind/Split (at least with a sub according to the G2 match).

Wait a min… I think you’re actually on to something. I think somehow EDG will “coincidentally” be the last to pick their opponent and it will be the leftover unpicked GenG. This is like the perfect China’s script for an opening banger match that will generate the most buzz.
King of China EDG vs the disliked GenG in China (at least on the surface level). 🤯

posted 6 months ago

I’m pretty sure all regions will pick G2 as their first pick if they could, I know 100T can beat G2, but will 100T really go for a NA v NA face-off right away? I think they will pick FPX, but if they dare to pick GENG then that’s full respect to them.

What I know is PRX will 100% pick G2 if they had the choice, first becuz GENG and G2 already qualified, and they definitely won’t want to play GENG again, so they definitely would have start prep-ing for G2 already since they do not know which remaining 2 teams will qualify, and also because T1 almost beat G2 and f0rsaken/PRX will also have the revenge narrative for his brother.

posted 6 months ago

I really don’t think any region would pick their own region first if given the choice.

posted 6 months ago

Good point you’re right.
They performed poorly as a whole sadly and they were already given the time to prep for Shanghai qualifications when they missed Madrid, they just didn’t live up to it :(

Previously he was 6th man/benched of SEN and now he’s dropped from NRG, kinda sad, but if you look at his K/D in his past 30 or 60 days stats it’s horrible and he isn’t playing well, he went negative a lot.

Both TH & FUT literally only got their first win from DRG… they proved nothing yet.

posted 6 months ago

I’m from APAC but I’ve played 1 semester in NA server during my school exchange programme and I would say there isn’t much difference tbh. You can get easy opponents for a few games in a row where you smoked the other teams but sometimes the games are very close or you can even get smoked suddenly, this is all in immortal 1-2 lobbies. I’ve no experience for EU, LATAM, BR servers so idk about that. In terms of toxicity I think APAC has a slightly higher frequency of toxic players but also not really, it’s just that you get aggressively toxic players who is desperate to grind up whether in NA or APAC...

posted 6 months ago

DRX was the real unlucky one, they went 5-0 in Stage 1 but they just had to face PRX & GENG in playoffs, meanwhile T1 went 2-4 in Stage 1 but managed to beat GENG whom happens to have a very off game…
But it is what it is. No point harping on these “could’ve been ____”, let’s move on.

EMEA draws China again 🤯

FPX 2-1 TH (weak map pool of TH due to sub which was exposed by G2)

posted 6 months ago

It’s not that deep, they just don’t cheer for GEN.G (political reason), and FUT (whom disrespected CN teams). Other than that they cheer for their own CN teams. They are actually a decent crowd if u look at how they cheer for LEV and also applauded for TH’s benjyfishy even after TH beats their CN team.
The point is, if you have show them some respect, they will show it back.

posted 6 months ago

how did I forget FUT/FPX 😭 my bad, you’re right

posted 6 months ago

So far:
GEN.G vs FPX was the best match followed by GEN.G vs LEV.
Every other matches were midasf, it always felt like ‘who is throwing less’ instead of ‘who is the better team’.
I don’t care which region wins but I just want some high-level, competitive, tier 1 games becuz this just ain’t it rn 😮‍💨

It would be real funny if DRG actually wins and they have to say it’s “luck” again lmaoo.
Choked or whatever, players should just accept their loss gracefully and move on, like srsly, have some class.

T1 needs to brush up on their fundamentals.

Like on breeze, when they have an op and they knew aspas has an op too, they drone A-main to make aspas hide from it but they don’t even have the basics to post their op-er on the re-peek from aspas to punish him.

Terrible performance 💀, alr gave them too many chances after the initial 2-4 swiss stage to qualify for shanghai. Yet they fixed nothing.

Bad half by T1, that was a breeze ranked gameplan right there 😭

Last 10 ranked games as a controller:
Dropped 30 bomb on 4 games, averaging 25 kills for the whole match history page.

If he does comeback replacing Marved, I will start cheering and hoping for NRG again.
Current NRG is a no-go, didn’t make Madrid—unlucky, need more prac, fine.
But failing to make Shanghai even when they have the time to prep for it—getting destroyed by LEV, 100T, & EG in Stage 1 can no longer be excused.

T1 2-1 LEV

My mind says LEV (65%) and T1 (35%), but my heart goes for T1.

T1 Win Conditions:
⟡ aspas off game (but unlikely since he is lowkey him, so xccurate’s chamber need to pick him off before LEV execute on the site)
⟡ T1 must play their A-game with minimal mistakes and stop throwing like against G2.

My guess is that LEV probably have counter-strat to push xccurate’s chamber off, so T1 needs to adapt and support xccurate more instead of leaving him alone to op. And if they play icebox, T1 needs a deeper strat instead of hitting only A-site becuz it won’t work as well against LEV.
