Tbf, GenG played that flawlessly
But TH did play that last round poorly
They objectively were.
MiniBoo is a good player but PaTiTek on TH was peak TH
Best Valorant I've seen in this tournament so far
The most entertaining game in this tournament so far. Both teams showing us an amazing performance
This is what peak gameplay looks like.
t3xture 2024, Demon1 2023, Aspas 2022
TenZ fans sound like Trump fans.
Crazy obsession
Can an org get kicked out of Tier 1 due to lack of performance? or how does it work?
And are any teams currently at risk of that happening.
Just like how TheGaurd left Tier 1
Both their talents are wasted in their current teams.
If M80 make it to Tier 1, would be nice to have them back together
2024 started off incredibly boring. Every single teams were extremely weak
But this mid/late season became incredibly entertaining. Teams are looking in form
2024 obviously doesn't compare to 2023 but I find it way better than 2021 and 2022
No hate against MiniBoo, he's a great player.
But... it's clear that TH Shanghai was TH at their peak. They looked so much cleaner with Wo0t on duelist and PaTiTek in the team
I doubt I'd see them making it to the Grand Finals again.
ANYWAYS! Today will show us a bit more about their current strength. They might surprise us against GenG
The who?
Random dude in your backyard?
No1's watching the EWC
Have you seen the pathetic viewcounts LoL, Apex, R6 and OW has been getting/got?
More than half of what any international tournament would get
Imagine thinking GenG, FNC, LEV, G2, TH are top contenders to win when you've got these incredibly dominant teams like Furia, MiBR, GE.
Let's be real, these 3 teams would probably 3-0 and of these 5 frauds in a Grand Finals.
G2 are indeed incredibly boring to watch but that doesn't change the fact that they're top contenders for the Grand Finals.
Eitherway, I'm excited to see what will come next.
Will it be G2, FNC, GenG?
Will TH make an impressive run like they did during Shanghai. Or will another team pop out of nowhere and surprise us all.
But I would also rather not have them make it to the Grand Finals. They become quite unlikable
Can't wait to see a team go 1st, 1st, 1st
Also... FNC 4th? Damn, thought they did way worse during Champions. Very solid record for sure
As a long time fan of South Korean teams in general, me wanting GenG to win Champions is normal but I mean it in a way where them winning Champions would make VCT history by being the most dominant team ever.
Making it to every single Grand Finals of the year + winning Masters, Stage 2 and Champions would give future teams a new performance record to beat.
After Fnatic's performance in 2023, I didn't expect a team to dominate as much if not more than them anytime soon. Them winning Champions will do just that
Wait till matches start up again and all the 14yo keyboard warriors will spam about 10 posts a day
This is a very good list. The only team I'd remove from that list is LEV
Or if you're adding LEV, you have to add TH
LEV is quite overrated. I mean, they struggled v Pacific #4
And TH are as good as LEV if not better.
My issue with both teams is they lack consistency when it really matters
Sounds like your loss. Most of us are having a blast watching these games : D
I think you got it all wrong? They got peak toxicity during Shanghai...
They are indeed quite unlikable.
Tbf, they were being extremely toxic during Stage 1 and Shanghai which is probably where the hate came from.
This coming from a long time fan of TheGaurd.
Based on what I've seen, these are my obvious/most likely teams to make it to the Grand Finals. Lemme know if you disagree on something, I'd love to here another take.
My top 5 in order from most likely:
GenG
G2
FNC
TH
LEV
Teams not in top 5 that I could see them surprise me and make a decent run:
Talon (Gave LEV a very tough time and have potential. Giving Primmie a bit more time could be just what they need)
FPX (Amazing performance against TH. I'm aware they had unlucky matches during Shanghai and now Champions but it's hard to judge them properly as they've only lost despite strong performances)
Send both teams home, holy sht. That was such sht performance by FUT and EDG struggling so hard against that sht team
Both teams suck. Both teams choking during the most winnable rounds you've ever seen
Go home already, ty
Stop the cap. We all know MiBR is winning Champions
We already know no Chinese teams are making it top 4.
Whereas FNC, TH, GENG, G2 seems like obvious candidates
This has got to be one of the most boring matches this year.
Alecks is like "how is my team so sht"
Is there a place I can find the stats shown before a match.
As in their win % on each map and win % on attack/def etc.
They def ain't the worst team. But they do suck
3 years with this exact same roster. So inconsistent and will never win anything.
They need to change things up ASAP
This match is exactly why they won't ever win anything.
They're so incredibly inconsistent and lose rounds they had no right to lose.
GG, change roster already
They about to copy DRX's match against KRU.
Close 1st map with point for KRU/TE and then dominating the other two maps.
2-1 Win.
Not a jynx
LEV on 3 is such a joke. They struggled against arguably one of the weaker teams in this tournament
Nah, LEV is sht
They struggled against Talon...
Now that's one INTERESTING composition! Will be a blast to watch for sure!
Americas best team struggling against Pacific's worst. GG
Would not be surprised if none of their teams make it to play-offs at this point
He's fallen off. It's clear that he's a good player but he's reached his peak
New talent has knocked him far down the list of current best Val players
Chill, he's playing against one of the weaker teams in this tournament
I guess you're just dumb then. Sounds like a you problem
That's no excuse. This is valorant Champions, not your tier 2 tournament
The top EMEA and Pacific teams have defeated the weaker China and Americas teams. With exception of FPX which we all knew would perform incredibly well despite their loss.
I feel like the upcoming matches will be very close. Americas and China's top teams are looking quite weak.
Talon beating LEV will be tough but could happen (even though I don't think it will)
VIT will destroy Trace
G2 v PRX will be incredibly interesting! Looking very close. Anyone's game
FUT v EDG will also be quite close but I'm seeing FUT winning this as both teams lack consistency at international events but FUT has objectively stronger players.
Impressive how inaccurate these teams are. They ain't going nowhere
