EU scene is about to have the biggest yard sale of talent this title has ever seen. By the next masters event, I'd be surprised if we recognise any of the orgs! But yea, Ec1s is dope and there is no way we won't see him on a roster soon. GGs

Do we reckon this will have a live audience?

Only Oxgen's XiSTOU has a better ACS of all the cyphers in EMEA too. Kryptixx plays a better game than Dimasick.

EDIT: Also, I'm just looking at the stats for EMEA.

We will have to see what happens with the Viper. Time will tell.

posted about 3 years ago

Kryptix is the best Killjoy in EMEA, he also puts out better stats on Viper than Ange1. Scream is better than Zyppan with a rifle.

L1NK & Soulcas have been clutching lately. Jamps needs to cool off a bit and stop hard feeding. but, all in, I think Liquid have a chance.

Not the biggest chance, mind. But a chance.

I main killjoy,

What she needs is to have the AOE buffed back to what it was originally. It's the only thing i miss. having to stay with utility is really debilitating in ranked games cos comms are poor and teams are unreliable.

kit wise, she is great. really good post-plant, good on lurks, can clutch well. As long as you have a player or two who actually know what duelists are for and open sites, she can make a real impact.

I have high hopes for noble. If they can upset LG, they can take ABX down no problem.

Love an underdog story!

GLHF to both teams.

Any team running Astra is going to make for a really hard read. who knows what crazy sh!t is getting pulled out!

yea, noble deserve their dues.

That's LGs weakest map out the way. Come on lads!!

Really!? Again!? What is it about the 2nd half of games for liquid?

posted about 3 years ago

Come on liquid, this is the big one to prove you can still be counted amongst the best in Europe.

Guild have become formidable. If Liquid can take this, they might be contenders.

Icebox.... What a stunning map.... Holy $h!t ...

Was Cned playing as a pro before Valorant?

This game is going to be lit!

Honestly, I think Acend could take the title!

Of course, I think Heretics are coming in as the favourites, but if they play Icebox, Bind and Ascent - there is a world where Acend snatch this.

Stats-wise, yea it's the Heretics show. But, weirder things have happened...

posted about 3 years ago

Yea, Acend will ban Split & FPX will ban Bind.

EDIT - FPX left bind in! This is spicy! 1 reckon it goes 1-1 and it's all decided on Icebox.

posted about 3 years ago

I have a horrible feeling this is going to be a Heretics Stomp.

I am a big fan of Guild, but they will have to pull something incredible out of the bag to steal this series.

I'm guessing we won't see Icebox, unless one of the teams have been secretly preparing the map to introduce late-tournament.

The only map that Guild has an on-paper advantage on is Haven. Otherwise, Heretics outperform Guild across the board.

Guild aren't likely to give up first bloods easily, and they are good at converting trades and assists - they play a really tight team game.

But, Heretics are maniacs. Their ACS is huge, as is there K:D. They get more first bloods and they have a higher ADR & KPR too.

IMO, the most likely outcome is 2-0 Heretics, but I would be happy to be proved wrong.

GLHF to both teams.

Kaboose!!!! Those transfers were oh so silky smooth. Ace for the WIN!!

What an amazing game!!! Gen.G are on that meteoric rise. Love to see it. GGs

Hypoc summed it up perfect before the match started - either Guild are looking incredible or it's rooky mistakes.

A lot of rooky mistakes today.

I think this game will come down to map selection.

Neither team have wanted to play Icebox this month - Guild tried it once and got demolished.

If Guild were to ban it, that would leave Dfuse a chance to get rid of Ascent, which would give them a really good chance of coming out on top. They look stronger on Bind & Split.

If Dfuse ban out Icebox, then Guild could ban out Bind, which gives them the edge. They look better on Haven & on Ascent.

It will be really interesting to see which way it goes.

Player Stats favour Dfuse. They are averaging better combat scores, K:D, ADR and KPR over the past month.

So, without seeing the map pool, I guess I would give Dfuse the edge overall.

Honestly, I don't want to see either of these teams leave the tournament so GLHF to both.

I've changed my mind!

I reckon we see Icebox and Split banned out.

Acend have a better track record on Bind. Their defensive halves are water-tight.

NiP look slightly better on Haven. They've only played it twice this month but haven't lost, pulling above average rwin% on both halves. Acend have played 6 but lost 3, their DEF halves looking strongest.

Ascent is anyone's map. NiP haven't shown a reliable defensive strategy yet but their attack is strong. Acend can defend the hell out of this map but don't look so clean on attack.

For me, the big decider is the team stats. This past month, Acend are just putting out better numbers than NiP. They've played twice as many games, which can't hurt. Their ACS is huge and their avr. K:D is around 1.3. They have a higher ADR and KPR, and they give up less first bloods.

So, seeing as Haven and Ascent are almost too close to call based on their playstyles, I'd have to give the overall advantage to Acend.

Do LG ban out either of BIND or SPLIT?

posted about 3 years ago

Oh wow. Heretics have found a 6th gear! They look even better than before!

posted about 3 years ago

I hope so too. I definitely don't think NiP are average, they are amazing. The games a bound to be close and a great watch. I'm just trying to highlight any slight advantage that either team has on the maps.

Heretics used to do crazy stuff on Split, but in the last 60 days, they've only played it once and they lost. NiP have played it 5 times in top tier matches and won 4. That gives NiP the advantage in my book. But yea, these advantages are slim.

Two powerhouse teams are going to slug it out and I can't wait.
