please press caps, I see your 3rd reply and all of them are in caps, respectfully, chill the fuck out homie

posted 3 weeks ago

it's the combination of both. It would be mad funny if americas and emea just migrated back to CS

posted 3 weeks ago

Because it's the talk in popularity in Americas+europe, not China, obviously china is booming, but that can just lead to the death of valo in americas and europe

posted 3 weeks ago

it is well known brazilians usually cheer only for brazil

posted 3 weeks ago

china is a whole different region btw

posted 3 weeks ago

no one is watching fucking KOI vs GIANTX

posted 3 weeks ago

they are unproven and GC is just another league, giving them a chance is a huge risk. Some orgs could do it for clout, but at that point they would rather turn to some washed pros

posted 3 weeks ago

most of the viewership is from asia and china, you can clearly see escharts dropped from 1.6 mil in madrid to 900k in shanghai to 900k rn in Seoul

posted 3 weeks ago

I hate the fact that champs-masters and masters have pretty much the same format. They need different formats for different event types, like tennis has different surface for different Opens. this SwiSs SyStEm is just groups but you don't know what opponent comes next. Play a real swiss system with 16 teams, host an 18 team event where teams are split in 2 groups of 9 and they have to play BO2s with each other. top 4 of each group goes into UB and top 5-8 goes into lower bracket, top 9 is eliminated.

mechanics will fuck them over in the long-term. and I really doubt any of the female talent would even get scouted.

posted 3 weeks ago

''i think you could realistically slot a couple of the top female val players into a few vct teams and those teams would still be fairly competitive.''

and it is clearly seen that riot want to appeal to the asian market, otherwise they would host champs somewhere in neutral timezones, like Lisbon.

posted 3 weeks ago

I mean that's why CS will likely remain the superior FPS esport. Better crowd, more events, more TOs, more storylines, set-up youth intakes. Some people call CS a 1-region game, but that region follows CS eagerly, and CS still keeps growing in South America (with them rising at the Copenhagen major) and Asia (mongolz+events hosted in China). Meanwhile valo will probably become the asian game, with china and pacific, emea seems uninterested in the game at all and americas depend on sentinels viewership

posted 3 weeks ago

''Even Tarik knows Boston Major is better than Champions 2024''
Maybe because he won that one, 5head.
But the viewership for the top 3 being lower than a sentinels group game is wild

posted 3 weeks ago

Shit reminds them of Dust 2

posted 3 weeks ago

It's fucking crazy that the viewership in the West is yet to break 1 million. With 0 american teams, I really doubt that region will watch the final, maybe the viewership won't even break the 1 million mark, it would be insanely bad

posted 3 weeks ago

I still don't understand why keep it a 3 event cycle.
Probably because going towards 4 will be such a big loss that riot don't find it sustainable :D

posted 3 weeks ago

It's pretty embarrassing that an org named BORN TO WIN struggles to consistently make it to LANs

posted 3 weeks ago

5 months break is still fucking insane

posted 3 weeks ago

Crazy how an org can be so cracked in CS and then sign grandpas in Valorant

posted 3 weeks ago

That's what happens when you have only 1 TO. CS has Blast, ESl, PGL, EWC, BetBoom, Starladder, YaLLa Compass and Majors as well. Meanwhile Valorant only has Riot who run only their calendar

posted 3 weeks ago

25 tier 1 events next year, possibly 29 if Betboom gets a license from valve.
And they probably will, given their ties in Dota and 30 with Esports world cup

posted 3 weeks ago

I don't know how you valo fans deal with off season, CS has constant action with like two breaks in the year which are a month long, wtf guys

posted 3 weeks ago

Despite you doing tricks on TenZ's shaft, doing it sideways, going bareback, on all fours, handcuffs, he doesn't know who you are bro

posted 3 weeks ago

So then a team which lost the upper bracket final
Won the lower Bracket final and then went to champs final has to potentially play 15 maps in 3 days?

posted 3 weeks ago

Remember how the entire English Fanbase was cheering on the Three Lions at the Euros in 2021? And then when they fell on the final hurdle some individuals started shit talking the team?
Pretty much the same logic

posted 3 weeks ago

First is a newbie - new to the game
Second is a rookie - new to the sport

posted 3 weeks ago

You have to put blade for navi in cs as well, as cracked as he is jacked

posted 3 weeks ago

probably no, all the teams in valorant right now exist for franchising, if it suddenly got removed, then some orgs would drop for sure

posted 3 weeks ago

1st point China has plenty of money to spend on esports, there is a reason any game developer wastes so much time and effort making their game more appealing to the chinese market
2nd VCT China has probably the best infrastructure in place, and chinese orgs will be willing to spend money for sure
3rd despite the game being a momentum game, no matter what meta or playstyle is currently on top, having a great team cohesion with a built out staff will withhold 95% problems a team can possibly face

posted 3 weeks ago

take a look at other sports
reason why USA dominates basketball - more players = more talent = higher average skill of that region = domination
reason why EU good at football - same thing
reason why EU good at CS - same thing
same goes for any sport, grappling, tennis, table tennis or chess.
Now, the thing with China is that unlike the US, where the leagues are more individualistic, chinese atheletes are usually more humble, making it PERFECT for China to dominate sports for years due to its massive population.
with EDG already being the biggest spender in china, they will likely retain the roster no matter what, allowing them to get an ever better cohesion, even more time together and dominating even more. Which region will catch up to EDG first? China, because it scrims, praccs and competes with them on regular basis, then comes apac, and emea and americas only get them at international LANs.
teams like Trace and FPX, while practicing with EDg will only get better, rising their level as well. Now what happens if chinese teams dominate valorant?
Chinese generally start playing more valorant, giving it an even bigger talentpool.
for every huge talent americas will produce, china might have 5 of them due to how young and intergrated to the internet their society is

posted 3 weeks ago

do you understand that chinese playerbase quadruplicating will just fuck vct in the long term, right?

posted 3 weeks ago

kinda the reason why I don't play valorant, in cs it's more about ''well yeah fuck I did screw up the pattern and my strafes weren't precise''

posted 3 weeks ago

I come from CS and I really like the quote from Zeus, one of the GOAT IGLs in CS ''You can have perfect comms, perfect strats, perfect timings, perfect team structure and preparation, yet if it so happens that you die from the first bullet, all of that was for nothing and there is nothing you can do after the fact''

posted 3 weeks ago

any rng gets countered by a better structure. rng was pretty much the only thing keeping leviatan alive yesterday.

posted 3 weeks ago

except you will still get the drop in numbers, all china final will have huge views within china, but the twitch views might plummet, legit might not even get 500k

posted 3 weeks ago

5-1 and 6-2 isn't really hefty, it's a matter of won pistol + thrifties and then like 1-2 buy rounds

posted 3 weeks ago

china v china = 99% chinese viewership = 99% chinese popularity = other regions are dead

posted 3 weeks ago

I think the region is as strong as its strongest representative, just the fact praccs will happen only cn vs cn, maybe cn vs apac will just lead to the meta developing there and due to EDG probably having the perfect comp rn amongst chinese player, and EDG having the money to hold onto them, I feel like they can legit dominate

posted 3 weeks ago

bro skadoodle was one of the best players in the first major final I have ever seen man :(

posted 3 weeks ago

why do you think it's hard for one region to dominate? I think it would be really easy for a team like EDG to dominate, there will be no better offers from other orgs, unlike in americas or emea, so they can stick around together as long as they want to

posted 3 weeks ago

5d chess trying to clense the platform, nice try

posted 3 weeks ago

at least they don't have the history of spitting on players ( i know it wasn't at valorant, but the fact that the same exact region produced the crowd which spat on enemies is just concenring)

posted 3 weeks ago

this is fucking common sense, you have 2 low tabbers who sharted the bed, they are a bigger issue

posted 3 weeks ago

why would you think I am a sentinels fan?

posted 3 weeks ago

''FUCK TENZ''
your vibes guy went 1-14 and brazilian veteran can't jiggle peek, maybe start there?

posted 3 weeks ago

all I am saying is that no team will possibly win a map where 3/5 players go AFK and just don't show up individually. not fnatic, not eg, not loud, not gambit, it's just an insane handicap to overcome where 3 elements of your team play at like 10% of their skill

posted 3 weeks ago

this might sound schizo and retarded, but this edg roster will not leave anywhere, they are under contract in probably one of the richest orgs in china where their owner will probably give them houses if they win. NA and EMEA always have contract renewals, where players get swayed by new contracts with a salary rise.

posted 3 weeks ago

there will be no new CIS talents, and there wouldn't be. literally valorant was like 6th in popularity in CIS,
1st CS
2nd Dota
3rd pubg
4th brawl stars (kids)
5th Standoff ( kids)
6th valorant

posted 3 weeks ago

Reach better results with the roster than anyone expected- True
Still have questions about some parts of the roster - True
