Look at any of Optic's comms videos and compare it with NRG's

Yay was setup to frag insanely well. Marved was bad with comms, and acted pretty independently from the rest of the team.

With both of them gone, and you can notice this in their comms, s0m is comming just as much as victor, crashies, and fns. ardiis is still struggling on that front, but his flexibility in his agent pool has allowed NRG to play more intelligently.

They've lost -30% in firepower, but gained +20% in tactics so to say.

EG really brought in the epitome of an NA ranked jett and it's working.

Saadhak is managing to do it quite well right now. The main caveat to being a good duelist and an IGL is to focus primarily on entries and not on being a star player--That's how loud is able to run double duelist with Saadhak on raze and Aspas on jett on fracture.

Zekken is one of few raze players in NA who is intelligent with the way he entries, and doesn't go in with the intention to frag out, but to create space.

Out of everyone in the team, it seems dephh trusts in Zekken to become an IGL in the future. While dephh may not be good at all individually, his calling is decent enough for me to trust that mode of thought.

Zekken is a really smart player that lacks an ego, which is honestly what I think holds back most duelist IGLs. What's more, he fulfills his role as an entry with a lot more attention than he does going for frags.

Now, whether this is just Dephhh pushing his own expectations onto him is another matter, but if Sentinels were to switch Zekken to IGL, then not only would the roles be fixed again like they were when TenZ was out, but given a week or two of solid coaching by Kaplan, I'm sure that Sentinels would perform even better than they did against LOUD.

Sacy - Sova/Fade/Skye
Marved - Omen/Astra/Brimstone/Viper
pAncada - Killjoy/Harbor

Of course, the team would be even better if they just got jonhqt but that's not really much of a possibility right now.

This wouldn't be possible for a while because of the roster lock, but:

Supposing M80 don't win ascension. The best possible upgrade for Sentinels would be Johnqt over Dephh.

Syyko is gone, and any chemistry he had with his former coaching staff and teammates is now gone except for Zekken.

Kaplan was Johnqt's coach under Ghost gaming prior to franchising, so with his rise to the head coach position for Sentinels comes the opportunity to revitalize old chemistry between him and an IGL that has so far proved himself and his abilities in tier 2.

Johnqt is one of the few NA players that is comfortable playing Sentinels (the role), but also able to flex when need be.

This allows:
Pancada & Marved to both play smokes on maps where viper harbor are viable.
Sacy to play initiators.
Either Zekken or Tenz to play duelist.
