I like japan

I especially like that one dude that writes paragraphs about how japanese valorant needs ego like in blue lock everytime zeta loses

I like how they all have their individual strengths.

having mCe as your coach gives your team like +30% individual improvement + unlimited access to pool of cheap, underrated players.
--best choice for financially crippled orgs and teams trying to take a chance on up-and-comers. Dude also births new top IGLs with every team he coaches

having cheT gives you a +50% buff to any preparation against other teams, +20% anti-stratting (he spends all night before the match to give his team this info)--the top choice for rosters full of veteran players and a self-sufficient IGL

having seangares gives you a +40% discipline bonus, ingraines protocol after protocol into his players, makes their gameplay strict and maximizes teamplay--an excellent choice for young/rookie rosters.

You're not delusional, you always have solid grounds to back your claims and you're mostly made up of mainland europeans.

I feel like the most w fanbase is the one that doesn't actually care if you win or lose, which is hard in americas because everyone's always hyping up their teams to win.

Honestly, KOI's fanbase is pretty neat

Faraday, you have said something very wrong.

Valyn:
-Coached by mCe
-Came out of t3
-Led a team of unknown rookie players at the time to qualify for masters, beating prime Optic, XSET, Cloud9 (with xeta), and dumpstering the rest of NA.
-IGLing remained consistently S-tier even after mCe left, TGRD still regularly shits on franchised teams, not just in scrims but in off-season events.

runi:
-Coached by mCe
-Came out of t3
-stepped up to a vacant T1 IGL role and within 2 weeks made C9 go from looking like the worst team in the league to LOUD's only rival. Beat NRG, claimed top NA spot. Dumpstered every single team in its league except LOUD (who they lost 1-2 to)
-Looks stronger every single game he plays.

Who's better?

posted about 2 years ago

Maybe so

I don't think Valyn is a rookie IGL anymore, he's the second best caller in NA imo

posted about 2 years ago

He reminds me of Zmjjkk with how aggressive he is.

Genuinely surprised me at lock-in to see him doing so well while all the other jetts we'd been hyping up had been suffering from chamber withdrawal

FORSAKEN or ANGE1 you better play yoru in the grand finals

If Zekken leaves SEN I'm never supporting that team ever again.

They beat Furia with less than 3 days of practice, I'm sure that rob moore should just give them time no?

On one hand, for most players even attending this major, the salaries that their orgs pay them make the actual prize money not worth as much.

but yeah it does kinda suck for situations when you have an underdog team like GamerLegion who had a solid chance of winning and probably earning more than 2 years of their salaries (it's only NA that has those huge inflated contract deals)

All you jett abusers fear the coming age.

The one, true, chosen duelist is here to take the public's undivided attention.

No longer will boring awp shots cluster social media, but instead tp and ult outplays!!!

Better start learning Yoru before your one trick days are over.

Invest in the rift walker today.

all you do is stun default spots where they 90% of people play right before your team pushes out

Ever since I saw something hit that 1 fps 1 tap flick across his screen with reyna, i've considered him the best aimer in the world. Jingg is close behind.

In terms of raw aim, Tenz is definitely up there too.

that's probably just high dpi.

You're forced to aim with your fingers and you can hit flicks very easily, but you'll be damned if you want to take a long range duel or microflick

Say your team doesn't want to go with a perma-ban.

For the sake of learning how to utilize a specific comp, remembering certain protocols, etc. on every map

Is it better to scrim a different map every day? or is it better to focus on a single map for a week, and move on to another for the following week, and maybe on the week prior to a tournament have a week of doing all the maps as a refresher?

Carried? put some respect on Valyn, they still dumpster franchised teams all the time with tex as a downgrade

Loud is just step 1,

I'd like them to beat DRX at least once like they used to

and if they take down NAVI then im automatically an NRG fan

until NRG prove themselves to be just as capable as optic were on the international stage, i won't change my flair

nAts and Yay have both survived since 2021, but nAts is still performing against franchised teams

nAts > yay

This one is hard since on one hand I feel like FNS can become 40, survive any meta, and still be a world-class IGL, but MaKo is the kind of player that can survive many metas despite not IGLing--he used to be the main jett for one of his former teams. My OpTic bias says FNS tho.

FNS > MaKo

Okay Shao is cracked but suygetsu just has such an unreplaceable affinity with getting multi-kills. From a role perspectice, It's rare to find a sentinel anywhere that's the same caliber as him, while there are plenty of cracked initiators--so im going with suygetsu for this one

Suygetsu > Shao

Lastly, it's hard to find a superstar duelist, especially in this meta where almost all the old awp gods seem to have fallen off. So, when you find people like Aspas, Leaf, and Derke, who can still put out kill montage after kill montage on this nerfed agent, you know you have a keeper. I feel like from a team perspective, a flexible player is more valuable for the sake of the team, but if we are to look at things ideally, then a perfect team would already include players all on their comfort roles, and in such a team Derke would be the most valuable asset among them.

so, controversially:

Derke > Chronicle

either LOUD vs C9/NRG grand finals or EMEA vs NA grand finals.

Not because LOUD is necessarily worse than the NA teams but because since they're only 1 team and NA will have 2 teams, there's a chance that NAVI< FNATIC, or DRX beats them beforehand, while even if one NA team dies the other one will probably survive in another bracket

posted about 2 years ago

bro wdym it's 3 grand finals.
also yes i agree optic and loud > fnatic in terms of grand finals appearances

posted about 2 years ago

I think C9 is stronger than NRG in terms of firepower, but I think TL probably has a chance of beating C9 but not NRG if that makes sense.

I'm pretty worried that C9 will fall to the Guard/XSET curse of beiing hotshit but failing to adapt at an international event, leaving the optic core as the only NA team capable of competing against international opponents.

NGL I like nerfed duelists, it makes the actual good players stand out as all the more valuable: aspas, leaf, derke. and makes their highlight reels all the more special.
