Should have used a post by any Brazilian then

Got Leo Faria's flag wrong

posted 7 months ago

I see, totally agree

posted 7 months ago

it's impossible to maintain that level of individual performance the whole year and they peaked at the wrong time. Can still find their groove again tho

posted 7 months ago

Well because of the case situation his season has been like 2 months long, frustration is understandable

posted 7 months ago

rn I'm closer to retirement than coaching

posted 7 months ago

I'm sorry but 1 absolutely amazing year does not make up for this being the first ever year GenG play at international other than 1 game at lock in. It needs to last through time a little more imo before getting in those conversations

posted 7 months ago

If geng win it would be an amazing feat and have the best year in valorant history. But imo that would still not make up for this pretty much being their first ever year doing something at all. FNC made the first ever LAN, consistency has to count for something

posted 7 months ago

There is one factor people seem to forget
Chronicle has made the finals in 4 of of the 6 events he has attended

The other 2 are a top 4 and a 7/8

posted 7 months ago

though he meant it as in finals contenders for Seoul

posted 7 months ago

2 at the very most

posted 7 months ago

I just realized the 4 players with the most clutches in Pacific are from DRX, weirdly enough because of the amount of rookies. The average amount of clutches on DRX would still be the most by any player

posted 7 months ago

Yeah but that's not actually sucking tho

posted 7 months ago

No, sucking for a long period of time does wear off the numbers and fans, it happens on every single traditional sport and KOI in valorant for example

posted 7 months ago

I think last year they had both things, FNC has been creating meta for years, with their buys, comps etc.

They obviously weren’t free of issues but neither is this FNC. I see something very similar to patitek and miniboo, I think the answer is more on the rest of the team than on them

posted 7 months ago

There is absolutely no format that can predict which region is gonna be better at the start of the year to fairly distribute slots.

Also I don't think this comparison is fair at all, for several reasons.
1 Pacific Americas and EMEA are extremely close rn and 100% deserve equal spots. Your whole argument relies on China, so what you actually mean is that China doesn't deserve the same slots? While that is totally the case gameplay wise, china plays with a big disadvantage and the way of making up for all the time they missed is giving them advantages like this.

2 There is absolutely no one in EMEA other than KC fans that would rather have KC at Champs rather than Vitality. if you can't maintain a certain high level through the year you don't deserve it imo

posted 7 months ago

I don’t think we’re being fair with Leo tho. FNC has proven that they can be better with Leo than with Hiro.

Obviously they look better now with hiro, but idk to what point it’s a fresh start and the whole team taking that to step up

posted 7 months ago

I just realized they're not only of of 3 teams to make all champions, but also the only Americas team to make it last year and this year. Can't even argue the free latam spots

posted 7 months ago

If it's not Nzr or saadhack I would just let mta work. Can't expect them to win champs, this roster is perfectly fine

posted 7 months ago

Also bro didn't punch anybody so your comparison is clearly flawed

posted 7 months ago

it's not that rare, specially of blowouts

posted 7 months ago

if it works why change it. Nzr in place of mta and you're perfect. But if you can't, leave it be

posted 7 months ago

couldn't let that slide

posted 7 months ago

This man was absolute garbage for the first months of the year and now is cracked af. He is also a much better sentinel than he was ever duelist
Another prime example of why rerolling duelists is the way to go

A very long thread could be made with about 95% of this forum wanting to bench this mf and it would def include me

posted 7 months ago

I'm also just watching lev vs kru and tex is another prime example of a duelist being better at sentinel

posted 7 months ago

Oh no, I thought you meant it was that high because chamber was broken mb

posted 7 months ago

Tbf jett was just as broken for tenz and heat runs

posted 7 months ago

Idk why I was reading that as highest acs on initiator lmao

posted 7 months ago

It's funny because as I was reading the first lines, Tomaszy is the exact example that was coming to mind xD
But it's extremely common, Runner this year, or Wolfen last year did it mid season. I'm a big fan of rerolling duelists to new roles. Alorante's competence is for sure not just the sentinels.

Overall I agree with all those names, I would add quite a few more tho but I respect it. Overall alorante has a chance, but I don't think it would be crazy at all if he didn't get picked up, he's gonna have to perform out of his mind during tryouts

posted 7 months ago

Debut as in debut year or debut couple games

posted 7 months ago

I certainly hope so, it could happen. But doesn't mean it's the most likely scenario.

Btw congrats, they played well, top 2 is great

posted 7 months ago

Fair but I don't personally agree. I think it just looks that way because the rest of the team has slowed down

posted 7 months ago

The performance dip doesn't have to do with patitek, they're just not as sharp

posted 7 months ago

Winning EMEA is not even comparable to making Shaghai's finals like patitek. He could, but he is not yet

posted 7 months ago

Nobody keeps rating them as favorites after playoffs

posted 7 months ago

lmao, he agreed with me that it was a misunderstanding. Plus not liking a roster has nothing to do with contractual matters.

Narrate could stay, but everything points that he won't, as simple as that

posted 7 months ago

Yes, I am aware of Alorante's career, and I'm not trying to downplay him here, I think he's good and deserves tier 1 tryouts but I think it's way more likely that he doesn't get picked up.

To quickly address the 3 things you mentioned, he was not very good on his time on TH and the team wasn't it, and I don't think beating them this offseason is a big achievement. And about the deathmaches, his aim is insane there is no denying that, but there are many mechanically insane players not fit for tier 1, idk if you know aleksandar in NA for example

That being said I think he's good and deserves tryouts, but there's for sure better players than him available

posted 7 months ago

So they signed him to be the 6th man for 2 tournaments? Ok bro, I think stand in is the word you're looking for

Also that literally makes 0 sense, so if Harmii plays with TL tomorrow cause Mistic is sick he's not a sub because he's listed as 6th?

posted 7 months ago

No he was not, he was the sub for kick off until Woot turned 18. He's never had a contract for the full year with TH

posted 7 months ago

Not being the first time you sub for a team doesn't mean the second time you're not a sub anymore

posted 7 months ago

Btw don't guide yourselves by the roles, they signed 3 duelists last year and rerolled them. Engh clearly likes that strategy better and I think it's 100% the right one imo

posted 7 months ago

He’s FA and NA pays more and it’s his home, the move it’s pretty obvious

posted 7 months ago

Nah they're not going spanish

posted 7 months ago

Eh, I wouldn't guarantee the spot to anyone, allow them to tryout and stuff but no one is a guarantee for me

posted 7 months ago

Oh yeah that's a guarantee, my question is if any of the other 3 stay or not

posted 7 months ago

It's extremely likely he goes to NA

posted 7 months ago

Next season us key fro KOI, it will be the first off season with the new sporting direction and actual money to spend

They have all the time in the world to choose a coach and pick the best tier 2 prospects

posted 7 months ago

He's most likely gonna be in NA next year

posted 7 months ago

Ofc, all players are going through a performance dip, other than riens

posted 7 months ago

I don't think they're keeping narrate, he's FA and I seriously doubt KC can match the NA offers, project is not gonna be better either and he probably wants to go home
