It's probably fennel or murash ( they really need him lol)
They can handle japan tho, or rather off season in japan schedule wise looked better than SEA's.
Forfeiting riot sanctioned event for an off season event seems like a stupid decision tbh. But this is xerxia and nkt, so they probably think they can qualify to next year's split 1 without needing to qualify through split 3.
Regardless I don't think it's riot's fault tho, there's not really anywhere else to put split 3 in. If anything it's actually Thai predator league's fault for causing this schedule issues because japan finished their's almost 2 weeks earlier.
The only reason why I want VCJ to be poorer is so orgs can't import anymore considering we have gazillion academy players (honeybunny, airy, lefiedot etc) and good players like (hals minty and aace etc) still not on a team, but then again if orgs pays piss-poor salaries then only few people in japan would be willing to be playing professionally now π.
I'm not talking about real Korean fans, but the some koreaboos here are indeed very annoying. They rate teams based on how many koreans are on the team.
Nvm no surgeries but the falling down the stairs were real
Knowing what roles lob usually plays, I'm thinking what happen in dfm was gyen and art were switching roles.
That could mean even though this iteration of dfm have great firepower( primarily on gyen meiy and akame) but they are kinda nerfed by role issues
What falling down from stairs and having to undergo surgery do to a man
Edit: sorry there's no surgery lol but he did fall down the stairs
I'll combine point 1 and 4 since we're almost on the same page now π and i just wanna add some more points. I definitely agree that riot understands that esports are just markering tool and not something to find profit at, but they know they can't just throw money into a bottomless pit that's why they need to make changes/sacrifices. My frustration with vlr is they can't seem to or refuse understand this concept ( I'm referring to the bolded words)
On the contrary I actually think eu fans discuss their t2 scene the most out of all 4 regions. But you have a point tho I might be wrong about this.
The reason I say this is people make it out as if japan has never made improvements at all where they actually have been but people are just being ignorant. While I do think they are far from great( if I'm not wrong t2 jp sucks at attacking), it's not the worst of the worst is what I'm trying to say π
I take that back, it's still too early to say, riots I cannot determine how riot wants to position their games yetπ .
I mean I do observe tier 3 ( premier contender division, offline tournaments , high school tournaments) its just tier 2 watchers are the minority let alone tier 3, i only know people from emea who usually do that because it's listed on vlr, I had to search any japanese tournaments that's not t2 or premier thorugh twitter π ,we are the minority of the minority here ππ
Really, I see all their ranks are radiant so that made me think that they're pros π
Oh I see. Thx for the info
Esports fans are the worst customer to deal with and hence serve limited if not long-run-negative value for riot.
Vlr actually don't care about tier 2 they only care when it's about to be merged.
Japan isn't as bad as what people make them out to be.
When talking about franchising and the scene as a whole vlr only consider things 90% if not purely from competitive perspective which limits their viewpoint hence the flaw in their line of thinking(which leads back to point number 1) , in reality there's many factors to consider.
Riot SUCKS at marketing, especially in regions that are unfamiliar with gaming, even in places that are familiarwith gaming they remained mediocre or even sucked worse than unfamiliar ones since they should've had the easier job . Kohei ( head of riot jp) looked like a god when you compare jp to other regions.
Doesn't mean the point doesn't apply now. Other regions can grow too and Japan is trying their best to catch up.
It's a new region in tac fps, meanwhile other apac regions have dabbled in tac fps or other fps. Playerbase wise JP also started out small. Leading to small talent pool in the first place.
There's nothing wrong with japan as a region, the talents are growing , 15 year old talents starting to show up, tier 2 teams forming their own academy teams, and those who have formed one are releasing academy players into the market. It's growing, but all of this takes time.
Fans are putting massive support onto the scene, however this isn't going to last forever, just like apex the trend will die down and just become another game unless riot manage this properly.
Rome wasn't built in a day as they said it.
What matters is the logo ( as an extension of their brand) is being seen in those cups, so it doesn't really matter whether it's water or not, the logo being shown already fulfills the mission.
Laz 1v5 Fnatic

I'm taking a leak rn bro I can fly them to you
Yeah I very much do, which is one of the reasons why I'm asking.
The difference between mongolz and oldtown is mongolz have no dedicated server/premier for Mongolians to play. While oldtown can always play in korean premier but they choose to play in jp premier, they know full well what happened to mongolz and still chooses to play here...
They shouldn't complain or rather they can't complain if riot jp suddenly barred them from playing further imo
How is this team even allowed to play π ?
What's the point of qualifying just to disband the whole roster...
Sry I'm dyslexic, paraphrase that pls π
(Thx)
I think for subregions, koreans are still considered an import in vcj, unless you mean koreans but playing in vcj as their first career?
Welp we're getting the best players from vcj yet ( riddle players aren't picked and new jp talents finally rising up) so I'm setting my expectations quite high this time
What is GH? Also reject is playing with 2 imports now ( they wanted icebear in which i think is pointless because duelist in japan is easy to get), but yeah generally a premier team don't recruit imports, but rules don't state that you cannot play with more than 2 imports which makes me suspicious of the team above.
Solid top 6 imo, both of them, lower than that is just disappointing, tbh I'm gonna be happy if we don't end up at the bottom again
Dfm and zeta are interchangeable imo I mean it's just Fennel vs SG and Reject but with better players now π
Just follow the year of release, you're confusing monogatari series with fate series π
Ok, I'm gonna need someone familiar with premier players tell me which one of these players are koreans? Are there 3 of them?
Team name : old town

Zeta winning against NIP and qualify to Playoffs
Zeta winning against drx
Dfm winning against T1
Fennel losing against riddle
Riddle winning against Naos ( everyone was calling japan bad at that time only few had faith left in riddle and japan)
This is just sad man ππ.
Back in his overwatch / pubg days , I'm not really sure zeta website said it, and some youtube videos way before zeta picked dep called him that
FINALLY A MAP WIN πππ
No I mean this is bad for zeta ππππ
Cr cup gave him all the confidence he needed back π
Oh shit this is bad π
I know autumn was messing around yesterday, today will be a harder challenge for zeta to overcome
Pls win zeta π

GYEN NATION RISE UPπ£οΈπ£οΈπ₯π₯
Agreed
I think so too, it's just I think Jinboong looked inconsistent in VCJ ( god in split 1 to just ok in split 2) but still a great pick by dfm imo
