only if you had seen scrims between Chinese T2 and Indian T2 you would be less delusional. DRG and JDG are T1 now I hv seen their scrims when they were T2 and you wouldnt guess who won mostly when both regions top t2 teams played....

I don't doubt this formula like I said its a good way but results may vary right, the only org which has been successful in VCT by doing a complete re-haul with players from T2 is Heretics so its a low risk high reward formula but it is erratic

I will be honest with you these are best players from their trials and that's abt it , it's meritocracy. Others who may be better than them aren't there bcz for xyz reasons they weren't part of trials and if you don't want to trial that means you aren't whole heartedly committed to the team/won't see yourself equal to other teammates.
I am not worried abt Kr1stal and Papichulo, they are good will look good.
I am worried abt other 3 though , Kellys is proven igl but he doesn't hv any major achievement to show for it , Yokam is one of those duelists who broke through in neon meta and may fade with it.
And Udotan is a weird pickup ,he doesn't hv obvious symmetry with team, he farmed T2 of China which is weaker than even Indian T2 Nd he has comms issue too.
But maybe their util is good and they work well together and that's the most important thing at the end .

True Rippers and Mogo are already invited to playoffs beginning nov 19 with 4 invitations yet to be revealed and rest of the teams competing beginning today for remaining 2 playoff slots.

we can't force teams right if they don't see value in it . For instance if a team wants to practice a particular execute but they scrim against a team which loses on aim to them everytime no matter if execute happened properly or if that execute/setplay is actually garbage then you can't really scrim against such team.
Some teams would then prefer sitting in custom and practicing it amongst their own teammates to this

A good GC team on merit already gets to scrim against their local T1 and T2 teams. But the mid ones currently rely on some sort of charity scrim from their local top teams which is not readily happening and even if sometimes they do but that's not enough.
For consideration even most good T2 teams practice 9 hrs a day with atleast 2 scrims secured against top T1 and T2 teams evryday.
Compare that to what GC teams get for some it gets even worse than T3 teams who sometimes get more scrims against T2 teams

Shao was clearly the best player by overall stats but anyone who saw the tourney live will remember that fpx started winning and looking like a formidable team with landing of Suygetsu in Copenhagen. It was Suygetsu who created all the magic moments which carried Fpx over the line, I don't remember many shao plays from Copenhagen but multiple Suygetsu plays are etched in my memory

now that this thread is alive again just using this moment to let you all know that as of now GE is playing EDG on 24th, Boom on 21 , another Apac team on on 23rd,one of JDG/FPX/DRG/BLG/TEC on 22nd, OG/MOGO on 18th and probably RNT on 19th, DSG on 20th(idk on what basis RNT is invited ).

Paradox applied but Ge just didn't call him up for trials for some reason.
Open trials doesn't mean all 400 who applied were allowed to play and Ge management watched them . GE management shortlisted some 80 players from all applications and only they were watched with some barely getting 2-3 maps to prove themselves

Indian scene isn't cooked it's just GE and their shenanigans.
They invited very few players , radiant was criteria and rucifix prob cleared it(it helps that he is a friendly guy nd has friends in industry) . For instance Paradox wasn't called up who was best Indian rep in ascension this year , Mogo boys except Deathmaker didn't try and they are the best team in India .
So yeah trial happened on Sg server putting Indians at disadvantage against other Apac pros so it was so so trial.
Anyways DM and Techno made it to round 2 rest were eliminated in round 1.
Lightningfast joined later in close trials and none were selected that's it

Scrims been really promising I would say .
They play EDG on 24th Nov I believe that would be a good match and we will get to see true potential of GE

I don't think that's an ideal solution when China has tons of viewership, money nd playerbase which eclipses every other region combined.
But to suggest an alternative I hv been thinking that maybe we can allow 2 imports in VCT China on a temporary basis bcz currently China doesn't have enough talents to have 12 strong T1 teams and this rule will also prevent situations like Kr1stal getting dropped despite winning ascension.
Moreover it will provide a stage for 12 T2 players who are really good but couldn't make it to T1 in their region .
Guys like Zeldris, YesIcan, Alorante are some of the names in that list
