Stayed on 10 as long as I could as it had everything I needed and don't like to change things up as I was used to it already. Only updated to 11 just recently cuz I built my new PC and thought I might as well install 11 since 10 was gonna stop getting updates this month. Realistically, I don't see a difference on my day-to-day usage of my PC regardless of the OS version I'm using. Though I do like the taskbar of windows 10 more, but other than that is not like I'm hating 11. For my use case both work just fine.
About windows 11 bricking SSDs, I'm pretty sure it's a few isolated cases, of which might not even be the OS' fault. I remember reading an article that after over 4000 hours of testing neither Microsoft nor Phison were able to reproduce the error of the OS bricking SSDs
