I think 3
What was the first tweet, it isn't loading or got deleted
The issue is they are harassing players, and even have done so in the past. Sure it's not physical yet but if we just normalise it like we have so far it's only a matter of time.

and then the expected twitter reaction
I think immigrants but I'm not completely sure
Honestly I don't really expect Riot to take a strong stance on this (I hope they do though, for the benefit of the players).
I think when it's just small nobodies here and there it's whatever. But when something becomes huge and careers are unjustifiably jeopardised it becomes a serious issue, and it's a horrible precedent to set for the overall scene
I agree that people on VLR definitely have their own issues, that's just from my personal experience over typing here in the past few months. But I think VLR is super easy to ignore. But these people on twitter have far more outreach, they can literally destroy a career because someone they don't like doesn't fit their agenda.
Ok, so it's basically been established that 'the kpopification of vct' is a bad thing. But how (as a community) do we fix it? How do we prevent these people from ruining the vct experience?
I've seen most of the arguments as to why they're bad for the scene and I honestly agree with a lot of them. But no one has seemed to offer any solutions, and to be fair there isn't really a straightforward answer, but honestly there is no point on complaining about it and not having an idea on how to stop it. So I ask, how do we deal with this?
idk personally I think calling someone creepy and weird is a bit out there, which is why I don't say it lightly
yes this exactly. I'm sure in reality these people don't even gaf about real racism, I can almost guarantee you they've not actually gone out to make a difference. They just sit and cry about it on twitter in their sheltered little bubbles, and the only semblance of drama they have is this cancel culture agenda they keep on trying to push, without even considering that someone could've made an honest mistake
tbf every team probably has these weirdos
thanks for reading
🙏literally psychopathic behaviour to have that much of an attachment to someone who will never know they exist
look im usually mild on my takes and im not really a hot take kind of guy
but stan culture should be heavily frowned upon. its creepy, weird and parasocial
yeah sounds like a pretty decent roster on paper
plus its actually possible
Yeah I agree, I don't think Boo is a twitter user anyway, he's not even involved enough to care about having a pfp, and has very few tweets (comparatively). I think people in this situation are just trying to make drama out of nothing.
"Suygetsu aims😡😡, the reset🥶🥶, absolutely ridiculous😈😈!"
o7 we should defo be seeing him in t1 next year
here, within like a minute of scrolling I find this tweet by a racist account
https://x.com/iFightForKids/status/1830794909927797183
yes. I will literally log on right now and find you a tweet give me a sec
tbf I don't really use twitter a lot and I get this kinda shit on my timeline even though I don't agree with it
I don't understand what you're trying to say, you've left it very very unclear. is he bald?
I think they could do it in a studio, I mean we're gonna have hella money from CN now, plus the bundles are doing really well. I think at this point I can safely think money wont be an issue, it's just a matter of Riot reinvesting into the scene instead of pocketing the profit.
Also to add on to this, I think it would also really help distinguish between champs and masters. Outside of the flashy colours, prize pool and number of teams attending the events are actually really similar.
Why don't they use the worlds format for champs? Personally I like it a lot better and I think it would be more entertaining. 16 teams in Swiss (no rematches) to a single elim playoff bracket. I think this would also fix the issue of having a boring venue for all but 4 teams in playoffs, as you can have ALL of playoffs in the Arena if you schedule it right. Single elim is slightly worse from a competitive standpoint, but I think Champs should really rally around the 'no last chances, this is the end of the year' type of vibe.
Here is the league format: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dp7GQJssP7Y
What are your thoughts?
its weird that stan culture has become accepted as normal
I think its creepy and parasocial as hell
I think its a downgrade rn, but it's not HUGE. Sacy was decent at champs
vlr is not ready to learn the slang term for arsenal fans
yup, NA quite literally have better MENA and DACH representation than 'EMEA'
get akai back and I think its doable
its probably better for you if you don't remember
yeah cool
maybe I would swap PCF and APK but its a 50/50 really for me
oh damn I didn't see that they requested the sub. That actually makes it really interesting, they should definitely explain why they didn't let them sub. If there's not a good explanation then this is actually a serious problem
fr at the very least hopefully some of these players get picked up in t1.
but ideally we win ascension 🙏🙏
im sorry bro they didnt 😭😭
https://european-union.europa.eu/principles-countries-history/eu-countries_en
Yes they kinda bs their way into playoffs
I would argue the game was still up for grabs by whoever, its just that the tech issues unfortunately sealed JL's grave
thanks! you too
I think its overall bad for the esport if a team with a majority of players who can't play in t1 win. They should either allow an exception for the 18 year old rule for ascension teams or they should limit the amount of players in that criteria. Ascension should be for... well ascending, not for trying to get 2nd place in hopes you get picked up by the 1st place org
hold on what
I had no idea about this, they're all free agents right? (I heard they came through ascension)
there should be rules to prevent this no? like a limit of say 2 players under 18 max by the time the next t1 season starts. Otherwise its a lose lose situation for everyone except the org
wtf i dont remember it going that hard
lmk when you find it
I think (could be wrong) only the grand finals are on LAN
I know they don't have akai, but I really want them to go all the way. 'EMEA' is just E right now. I really want to see a MENA team in pls 🙏🙏😭😭
also unlucky for JL, it was super possible but the tech issues were crazy unfortunate
