I believe itβs end of 2026 start of 2027 yeah. Itβll be tough because:
A) EG and C9 may bail them selves out somehow
B) the competition is pretty appealing too, e.g. optic, tsm, flyquest, shopify, g2 (assuming they get relegated in 2025 or 2026)
Sucks it has to be this way. At least heβll be sought after in EMEA as an igl
Youβre right, but it feels like they fixed 5 problems and created 10 more
Do they try again? or just call it quits?, especially now that from 2026 you are only guaranteed 1 year if you ascend
val
for all the flack rito gets I think they do a better job than valve in terms of updates and implementing community feedback.
That being said I do like the consistency of CS but it's not an excuse for being lazy with updates, tbf valve has been doing better recently but I think if val never came along to compete with CS they would've just continued to do almost nothing.
hmm, what do people make of cNed? He certainly doesn't belong in the 'worst' but I had slightly higher expectations ngl, he kinda made events but didn't do much in them (be it because of him or his team)
Does anyone have the stats for ascension? (all regions)
I mean... you can say the truth but if you deliver it with a foul mouth idk what else you were expecting...
if you deep it every human is blood related
so... #DFMWIN?
5 if your super serious about ranking up don't solo q
can you elaborate on this?
Is it more of a mental thing? Personally I don't care about my rank, I care about improving. Which actually does make me rank up but I don't have a need for it to be ASAP. Would that advice still apply to me? I duo on my main but solo queue on my alt but if it's actually harmful to solo queue I could stop
My guess is that they'll have to rebrand like Acend was forced to, otherwise I guess they have to give the slot to some other org (Just like TGRD)
dos9 and sultan on duelist on the fnatic comp? might be cooking
It really wasn't πππ
Oh yeah that could be a solution too esp. with CN, but I defo think there's enough demand/skill for their own t2 region (t1 would be impossible since the partner teams are locked in). Maybe I'm remembering with rose tinted goggles but I remember the Russian regional scene being really good back in 2021
Oh yeah, to clarify I wouldn't bar those players from competing
Yeah I completely agree, I would love to see some more imports in tier 1, I think it makes it feel more like a sport too. And yeah imports actually help grow a region in the short term so I don't think limiting them for tier 2 is ideal as you say. CIS should indeed have its own region, all of the cracked CIS talent is so decentralised which is super unfortunate, it's just because of the political situation which is why Riot is hesitant
I agree, I think the only teams that should be allowed 16-18 year old players should be the academy teams which aren't eligible for ascension.
(academy teams not being able to qualify for ascension is an entirely separate issue)
Unfortunately the goal of the org isn't always aligned with the players. And yeah, this post is partially blaming Riot for having this kind of discrepancy, seems like an oversight ngl. They're marketing ascension and tier 2 as this whole 'earn your self a spot in tier 1' type of thing but when shit like this happens it just takes away from it.
But yeah the players should've already known what they signed up to. It just sucks it has to be this way.
If they can deal with the Liverpool accent they can deal with a bit of a Russian accent trust me
(most British people can't even fully understand the Liverpool accent π)
I think it could work in theory, it'll help local talent. Next year Spain Portugal and Italy are merging so it shouldn't be too hard. East covers a pretty large area, and I think Turkey and France easily have enough demand
edit:
even despite this I think 2 imports in tier 1 is more fun, some people may not like it but fair enough, but I personally enjoy seeing multiregional teams
Your take is valid, but imo seeing one of Rarga or Kr1stal having to get dropped just feels cruel
https://strawpoll.com/mpnb1JleQy5
(might bump a few times, I want a good amount of votes)
Remove all the smokes, hell all the sentinels too. Actually fuck it get rid of the initiators too. Lets revert back to CS
all within like a second now way bro logged in on 3 like different browsers ππ
I think its a cycle
no money --> less viewers, riot sees less viewers --> no money. and repeat
the only way to fix it is to get a ton of viewers or get a cash injection, and tbh the cash is the only reliable way
imo t2 should have minimum the same amount of investment as GC but that's just not the case it seems
I think she's fine in pro play but busted in ranked for people who know how to play her
imo: keep the stun bounce, but have it only stun on the second impact. Make slide rechargeable by kill or timer instead of having 2 from the start of the round.
I think those changes are good enough to make her a bit less viable in ranked, but will have minimal impact on pro play
Lime was really good yeah I hope to see him in tier 1
sin prisa, riddle or FS
wouldn't mind JFT, BME or DSG though
Super excited for KC Saadhak, will be cheering for him fs (exception for fnatic cuz im biased)
I'm guessing the APAC buyout is yay, he said on stream that his buyout was beyond ridiculous
sucks that they have to drop someone, wp
I think marteen is a bit better than you give him credit for
I also think you're severely underrating purp0
It wasn't meant to be ππ
they should either make challengers 1 or VCT 2, its bad this way
