here are my tiers for NA teams’ chances of making masters copenhagen:
Tier 1–almost a lock
-OpTic Gaming: don’t need to explain

Tier 2–high chance of making it
-Cloud9: even with the curry replacement this team still has room to go and they’ve been consistently top 3 in NA for like the past 8 months and i believe they have the structure and composure to be able to make to LAN
-NRG: this team also has room to grow with Ethan and with tex finally playing to his potential this team seems to be very well rounded with all players being excellent, they simply have the player quality to make it to LAN
-LG: this team has consistently been performing well and every match they’ve had against a top NA team they’ve always had upset potential and i believe they could make some upsets happen to be able to make it to LAN
-TSM: with the role swaps this team seems to be performing a lot better than they did before against NRG, which they still preformed well against. i believe this team has lots of room to grow and their boot camp is going well for them

Tier 3–chance of making playoffs
-100t: this team has arguably the most room to grow and they looked very solid against TGRD, but they just got outclassed by TSM. i believe they have a good chance of making it to playoffs but unfortunately i can’t really see them beating anyone in the 2nd tier to qualify
-FaZe clan: if babybay and dicey are hitting, this team could very much make playoffs, all they have to do is beat EG and SEN and they’re chilling, and i believe they are very capable of doing that. the only problem is the inconsistency of the team, but they have a high chance of just fragging it out to beat EG
-EG: imo this team didn’t really play to their true potential against SEN and i believe they can do better, which they can absolutely do against FaZe. i think this will be a banger week 5 match with both teams’ playoff hopes on the line and either team could take it, that’s why they’re in this tier
-Ghost: i think ghost is a little lower than the teams in this group but not a whole tier gap lower, i’m just putting them here because i believe they have a chance at beating 100t, which gives them a good chance at playoffs.

Tier 4–probably not qualifying for playoffs
-Sentinels: search sentinels in the forum search bar and i guarantee you could write a whole essay on why they belong in this tier
-The Guard—this team unfortunately with the role changes and their honeymoon phase ending and the complications with some of the players’ personal lives, after their loss against ghost their playoff hopes are looking very grim, but even if they make role swaps that can work out for them theyre playing XSET, NRG and TSM still

Tier 5–XSET
-XSET—this is an amazing team and you could easily wank them to the 2nd best team in NA which is a perfectly acceptable take. i believe that they are better than almost every team above them here but i don’t really remember if they announced the slots yet but it’s most likely top 2 or 3. XSET could be the best team in NA, but due to their curse they will place 4th and always place 4th, making them the least likely team to qualify.
