LAN winners ranked by their peak form

people forget how dominant sentinels were, ngl I thought optic would not get nearly as far in iceland as they did but if you put them in a bo5 against the other 3 teams in peak form it would literally disband their roster

for me it's

1) Sentinels, Gambit - Every match these teams played, I was extremely confident they'd win if they didn't throw

2) Acend - Great team but they weren't as dominant as any other team in the tournament. The grand final match definitely felt more up-in-the-air.

3) Optic - Felt more on par with other top teams at the tournament, if slightly better.

I put Gambit 3rd because they lost a game to 100T and got 13-0ed by Acend 2 weeks after the event + their Champions run wasn’t flawless either. Every game was 2-1 and Vikings choked 12-7

peak gambit is when masters 3 playoffs started

gambit at champs was one of their lowest actually, they were on the verge of losing to vikings and xerxia
only chronichle was at his best during champs

Acend did drop 2 maps on GMB in grand finals so that's why I put SEN above them. Rest is self explanatory

Champions> masters sen shit their pants in M3 and champions so it's a bigger deal to be undefeated in the grand event ( most difficult teams) than in the masters 2 where sen won where there were like what 8 teams and Brazil and jp and apac was still shit . Only fnatic and nuturn were decent

I'm saying being undefeated in like biggest tournament (acend in champions) of the year where the competition is peak and where there are 4 EMEA teams with vision strikers and kru and x 10 is a bigger deal than not dropping a map in a lan event where all teams were still new (,sen in masters 2). The competition for sen in masters 2 was only V1 and fnatic tbh. Every team except V1 sen fnatic and nuturn looked very weak.

Sentinels might be #1 i think i’m a bit bias because Sentinels didn’t beat that many S tier teams as others and Fnatic was their only real opponent at Reykjavík

Liquid perma banned fracture the entire event
Acend only played 1 game on fracture before that so liquid had no idea how acends fracture looks

and Liquid beat Sentinels and Acend on Split before so Liquid probably thought they are insane on it
i dont think liquid fucked up that badly

idk but gambit never felt unbeatable either. They barely beat Vikings and the Kru match was a coin toss too. 100T showed that Masters 3 Gambit is not that scary either. They had 3 good games in the playoffs and thats it

gambit had the best peak form, even if they threw an easy win against 100T, they were on a different level that tournament, they defined the meta and how the game should be played after that, sentinels form was not that impressive to me, it was shit valorant but it was working because they werent being punished, if gambit or acend was there I believe they could have beat them considering Fnatic always had close maps against them even if they didnt win any and acend at champs was really good peak form, they are a team that if they are confident and find form they are easily best itw but they werent on a different level compared to others like gambit was in masters3

Sen should be on top if youre only looking at LAN runs tbf, they were so dominant they didnt even lose a map. On the other hand Gambit on their peek from M3 was the scariest team ive seen in val yet
