ENVY - (This depends on whether you believe they need a smoker or awper) I personally think mummay should keep playing smokes and they should sign a duelst player and have vic stay on skye, thief was my idea. (I already believed that they didn't need a full time awper but jett nerfs make that even more prominent)

NRG - Maybe DaZed or stellar. They could also try and run like Gen.G was before Nature without a true IGL and pick up a player like Wedid, thief, b0i, brax, kaboose.

T1 - stellar comes to mind here as well.

most of ur preds are fine, but ur take on envy is braindead. mummay should definitely go jett op, wtf? he's an insane awper, and putting him on smokes is objectively wasting his skills and its what is holding envy back. with mummay on jett envy could honestly become a huge threat.

yeah, but how is that a major nerf to jett at all? there are maybe 2-3 circumstances in which it could affect a jett in an entire match, but there are like hundreds of other circumstances where the jett wouldnt be affected at all?

don’t ask me lol, i’m more interpreting than taking his side. most pros have a general idea of trip locations and how to destroy them before hitting a site (whether through pre-fire or sova/raze util), so it shouldn’t make that much of a difference. i rarely see tripwires get hit in pro play, but that’s also affected by Cypher’s low pick rate.

Also, with the increase in price to Sova/Raze util, this looks like more of a buff to Cypher in general than a Jett nerf.

you sound actually dumb jett breaking tripwires is the one of the most used mechanics in the game and it happens alot more in high ranks thats why most sentinels choose to play kj that can get full counered by the dash delaying the follow up.

probably in silver 2 there are 0 good cypher set ups played so u have never seen a propper cypher, it works pretty well most of the time if they dont have a jett or raze.

you're fucking retarded if you genuinely think this is a common occurrence in games or even pro matches. most cypher trips are commonly known spots, and are flushed out by utility in the first place or destroyed instantly. jett dashing thru trips in pro matches is not common at all, nor is it an 'op' or important mechanic for jett.

Not at all, she basically cant dash into sight and create free space anymore if the opposing teams has a cypher and they end up at cyphers site. Most teams use jett alot to dash into site and create space unlike teams like TSM who use jett as a passive oper most of the time

As a cypher main, it’s HUGE that jet doesn’t break trips now.

So many juicy spots for trips right outside of choke points that she will get snagged on. Jet will continue to be picked in pretty much every game in ranked, and probably 50% of pro games too. This nerf was a big deal for Cypher.

However, I dont foresee a huge uptick in Cypher usage in pro play, more likely this will stop the steady decline of his usage, but do little to increase it.

no its not? are you fucking stupid? the things that make jett op good is the dash, mobility, and smokes. price increases dont change that fact, and people will still use jett and buy abilities like normal. price increases dont fucking matter, at all, in the grand scheme of things. you can say that for any team, there is no 'NEED' for an oper, but its still an EXTREME advantage and BENEFIT to have one. notice how the BEST teams of the world all have jett opers on their team.

In my personal opinion, I think comps that don't rely on a jett are the future meta. mummAy is a wonderful awper and jett player I do not disagree, but nothing stopping him from being a wonderful smoke player on a championship team as well.

your premise is wrong in the first place, holy fuck man. where did you get the notion that these comps RELY on jett? no, they dont rely on the jett players at all, these top teams like sen v1 fnatic liquid etc dont RELY on their jett, all the other players also contribute significantly within their own roles. the role of jett op itself is just a very IMPACTFUL one.

also, the idea that 'nothing is stopping him from being a smoke player blah blah' is so fucking braindead, because you can say that about any pro jett player? theres nothing STOPPING them from doing that, but does that matter? no, because their abilites are best used on jett and awping.
