the problem with jett is that she was made to be an entry character but became super good on op because of escape

the changes make it so she can still escape just as easily just has to press an extra button before she peeks
it also makes it harder for her to use dash with updraft or knives or in the moment when agressing which are things the dash should be helpful with

imo they should just give the dash a small delay before it activates like yoru tp
this way jett can still fly around with knives and agress as she pleases like a duelist should be able too
but if jett peeks 2 and ops one she will now get traded instead of being able to escape with her bullshit 100% of the time

this is coming from a jett main who 1 tricks the op btw

i would say it would only nuke the agent as it is now

it would absolutely destroy the way shes used to abuse op now but would make her still good for entrying which is what a duelist should be used for

the idea with the dash thing is that once you press that button you have 12 seconds if no one peeks you in that 12 seconds u r done and if they come to the angle syou are holding 10 second slater or if you want dash in for retake you can't. The idea is that you commit it to a certain point in the round and can't keep it for the last second until it is absolutely needed

u miss the point again if you are holding an angle and no one peask you still have the dash but if you have commit to this 12 second window before you can insta dash and no one peaks you and the 12 seconds run out you now have no dash so if you were to go and retake before you would have the dash still but with the new patch you don't.

nah ur missing the point jetts dash is broken cuz she can peek anything she wants early round and get away for free which she can still do

her problem was never that she had a dash saved up cuz she didnt get an early fight

But then you are preventing her from peaking and getting away for free twice my friend. You can hold an angle for 12 seconds, this also allows you to force the dash and you can play around that

what if instead of not letting her use her util we just gave her balance util is kinda what I’m getting at

I think the changes are good in the sense that they needed to nerf jett but I think there was a better way to nerf her

It makes her less fluid.

Less flexible

And not as fun to play.

The .5 sec between activation of the 12secs and when you can activate the dodge is the MAJOR portion of the nerf.

Wish they had figured out a different nerf.

This is coming from someone who never plays Jett.

I haven't seen anyone talking about this but in the video it clearly shows she can only dash in the directions she is facing towards. This and having to activate the dash prior to use makes her only usefull for entering site.

we wont know until the patch is out and players get their hands on her.
on paper looks like they nerfed her ability to hold weird angles forever and dash away safely. also u cant dash out of unexpected situations since u have to activate it before dashing.
she still can entry cuz u can just activate it and dash and updraft normally like before. u just have the time limitation that tbh isnt bad for entrying
tbh this sounds very reasonable and i think the changes are good at least for now. who knows how impactful the changes will be once the patch is out
