Maybe 2-3 years ago, yes. But south korea has gotten a lot better and is really similar to China or maybe even better. Also their talents are crazy, half of lpls superstars are basically korean.

a lot of the top league players in China are Korean. Edg for example who won last year's worlds, 2 of their players who got the most mvp's throughout the tournament were Korean. Out of the remaining 4 teams, 17/20 players were korean and 3 chinese
SC2 is not "semi dead", is fully dead. It doesn't even have tournaments anymore
