Not a good debut for the new T1, who fields several tier 1 names like thwifo, steel, and curry. They are a new team that was playing against a more established roster like Zeromarksmen, but disappointing nonetheless. Hopefully with enough time and practice they can surprise us in VCT :)

thwifo from XSET was a solid sentinel. Steel gigabrain at Berlin. Curry is meh so I probably shouldn't have included him.

Keep in mind that Zero has been in the tier 2 team scene for a while now. T1 just announced this roster. Ofc, they have practiced beforehand, but still newer in terms of official matches.

It was a one map match. A brand new team against a pretty good tier 2 team? You could have smelled this upset from a mile away. Id give T1 to at least bust out of opens until I'm convinced they aren't what they were hyped up to be.

Yeah they are a tier 2 team. A tier 2 team is usually a signed team that competes in smaller tournaments and feed into tier 1 teams. This team is probably near the bottom of tier 2 and T1 should not have lost. But this is still a signed team that has been competing in such tournaments. So, in a one map match anything can happen.
