G2 not in 2nd qual, VCT plz fix

They are on a waiting list unluko, teams on waiting list will only play if slot will open up, also G2 is far on the list, so unlikely.

Nah they got invited, lost their matches as well as signing up after everyone else.
I get that it's not the best for viewership if they dont make it, but taking another's spot because they signed up late, isn't the way.

They signed up in time for the first open qualifier, but got invited to the closed qualifier because they were the team with the most 2021 VCT points that didn't go to Champions (this applied for the other 3 invited teams as well).

Then sign up sooner.

Other teams such as guild, alliance, vitality, etc. They all signed up before hand. You can always drop out of an open qual, but once you miss the initial grouping, you're screwed.

This is nobodies fault but their own

This is obviously 100% their fault, I was talking about the first open qualifier, which they signed up for in time and had a spot for until they were directly invited to the closed qualifier. I still think they will get into the second open qualifier as they're about 7th or 8th in the waiting list, and last time way more teams ended up dropping out.

Edit: nvm just seen that vct literally just decided to manually include all of the high tier teams that didn't sign up in time, which is really unfair for whoever they removed to make it possible (thankfully not my team).

Yeah, just saw on twitter a few teams who were on the waiting list got bumped up.

one guy commented saying his team was removed from the list, and a play was set to "1 player status changed randomly to "No roster changes remaining""

Glad riot aren't favouring teams and sticking to rules.

Nah I heard different, I heard they are expanding the amount of spots letting in more of the teams who are on the waiting list.

I think they should have signed up earlier :/ They signed up before they lost their games, so no excuse on their behalf.

Vitality signed up two days ago. Guild yesterday. G2 have no excuse for signing up late.

Yonk, OG, 19esports, G2, Kova, Rix.GG, Excel, Alliance, Orgless22

In the situation of the teams that were in Closed Quals I don't fully agree, as they were still in the first qualifier by the time to spots were gone for the second qualifier... To the others, I guess you're not wrong that it's their fault

literally this. they all know how the format works and everything. someone shouldve made sure they had a spot just in case.
again, they know how the format works, you could blame riot for the format if u want idk, but every org is aware of how it works.

Last time KOI also didn't sign up in time and they got in pretty much instantly and so did the 20 teams behind them.

G2 are currently 8th in the waiting list, they will get in but idk about the other teams further down the list like XL, still, the fact that random mixes manage to sign up in time but orgs worth millions don't is honestly pathetic.

They removed some qualed teams from list, maybe some iron players found out about the situation and left Q
But at the same time it looks like they got priority to get opened up slots.

maybe next time they could make it that priority would go to teams that made far in 1st qual and then to people who registered first
