I've been learning spanish for a few years and have the ap exam in 3 weeks. I was learning pretty fast but my teacher this year is completely useless and so not only have I had a year of effectively not learning, but I've probably degraded. I really struggle to understand native speakers unless they slow down a lot, and if text isn't in really clear cut language I have trouble reading it. What can I realistically do in the next few weeks to shake some of the rust off and try to get a decent score?

watch media in spanish, like tv shows and movies. focus on reading subtitles (in spanish) and actually comprehending it. you just need to get yourself in the Spanish mindset

since you have a baseline of knowledge you could try immersing yourself in TV shows, movies, news, books, etc. in spanish

any time you encounter a word or grammar structure you don't understand, look it up and write it down

a few tips for the exam specifically is that every year there's always a number of questions (it used to even be a section) about mannerisms/slang speech patterns, and the AP classroom for the class has a list that you might wanna look over a few times

also the audios are always horrible quality, and sometimes headphones aren't even provided so you might have to listen to everybody's audio at the same time, and it's super annoying, so get comfortable with listening to the language in real time, and try to pick up on a few key phrases that you'll understand regardless of the audio quality

best of luck!
