To quickly recap this week's matches:

By far the most unexpected result from this week's matches was EG's upset over KRÜ. The former had just been flattened by Sentinels in their previous match, while the latter sat atop the group. The 13-4 13-7 beating that EG delivered thus came as a massive surprise. It seemed like supamen could do no wrong, as he posted a +24 scoreline on their road to victory. It seems EG has turned up at just the right time, as their win secured them a spot in playoffs after a rough couple of weeks.

supamen swiftly dashes KRÜ's comeback chances.

Out of the two teams left fighting for playoffs, Leviatán certainly look poised to take the final spot. While they suffered a loss to G2, they seem to have started to find their footing, as they pushed the Bangkok runner ups to the brink. Demon1 in particularly seems to be coming alive once more after struggling all throughout 2024.

NRG, on the other hand, continue to look outclassed against the stronger teams in their group. After winning only 7 rounds against G2 last week, they only mildly improved that to 11 rounds this week against MIBR. Verno absolutely thrashed his former team to the tune of a 1.59 rating as MIBR cruised into playoffs.

Aside from MIBR, the rest of the Brazilian representatives are all eliminated from Stage 1. LOUD lost their fourth close series in a row to Sentinels, despite another stellar performance from lukxo . 2G and FURIA both took their opponents to overtime on their first maps, but ultimately lost and then were swept away on map two. These three teams will have to wait for Stage 2 for any chance to redeem their year.

Shades of Chamber's Headhunter coming from these Cryocells shots.
