How long will take to Valorant die?
Some will say, "But LoL are more old than Valorant and still standing".
Or "But CS is more old than Valorant and still standing".

About League, LoL allways proposed to be a strategical mage game (Idk how to describe), so even if they add more characters, the game still going to be loyal to their base.
CS is a simple game, and his competitive cenario is 20x better than Valorant competitive cenario, and like LoL, Cs is loyal to their base.

But Valorant is a shooter game that seens to lose itself more and more each patch, plus a shit competitive cenario. If continue like that, the game will die.
So, how long it will take?

I don't think it's going to die anytime soon, the competitive scene doesn't make or break games, it's the casual playerbase that does, Riot seems to want to cater more to the casual playerbase so we'll be seeing it for a long time.

it's the casual playerbase that does

Yeah but in games like CS wich a vast majority of the playerbase watche pro. The competitive have a influence to people continue playing, since many will see oportunity to play more events and camps, thing that Valorant doesn't have

I get ur point but if the casual player continue to have shit experience like many are relating and the pro doesn't catch up, the game fall.

Yeah, I understand this, the difference between CS and VAL though, is CS has ALWAYS had a very competitive scene, so people are aware and have always cared about it to some degree.

Casual VAL players aren't going to quit over a few minor things because they've invested in the game, and can't get out of it like you can if you invest in CS skins for example, I wish VAL would die but I really don't see it happening anytime soon sadly.

Casual playerbase is already in shambles, t2 scene is getting worse by the day, viewership isn't growing as much as it did the previous years. And yes the competitive scene does have a major impact on valorant, the only reason why one of the biggest viewer regions (Japan) is even interested in the game is because of ZETA's 2022 Iceland run and China's interest in the game with EDG's 2023 run alongside BLG's champs run too.

Don't think the LoL/CS playerbase is good, they're standing, but they're dying too. Val will be the same way, there won't be a huge growth, but there won't be a huge drop either. The scene will get a little worse, Riot will continue to cut costs, vlr will complain that we're all dead, but when it's game time, we'll watch. The Roman Empire survived for a thousand years after the Pax romana era ended.
