i know this thread is gon reach the indian haters and ge meatriders and ive said that indian players are trash but at this point isnt it better to have indian players play in franchise instead of foreign players. even the foreign players aint achieving nothing. If a team who has used India for the spot and for the fanbase dosent have a sole indian in the team thats js dumb. atleast use your resources for indian players instead of foreign players who are also achieving nothing. "tryouts blah blah indians couldnt make it through there aswell", even dos9 was rejected in the tryouts and look at how he has done in boom, makes you really wonder about their tryouts. anyways i would like to see some people's take on this who wont be blindly hating. id genuinely rather watch indians get 13-1'd instead of foreign players atp.

- GE did not have esports pedigree like all the other orgs did when they were selected as a partner. For that they built a pretty good roster for 2023.
- I don't sympathize with GE for their 2024 season. That was a budget roster and the results were expected.
- But I believe they deserve to be given some slack, considering what they tried to do and what they partially achieved this year.
They are heavily intertwined with the Thai scene across multiple esports titles and have headquarters here. They're an honorary Thai org in my heart lmfao but seriously though, I don't think there are any Thai orgs with the same level of professionalism as TALON so I'm honestly relieved they're our representative even if they're technically a HK/TW org.
The difference I suppose is that in PACIFIC, these franchise orgs were specifically advertised as the reps of specific countries so in general people were hyped and have expectations as such for teams to field players of that specific nationality. While TALON isn't specifically a Thai org, they do have a heavy presence in the Thai scene across multiple esports titles and have a branch of headquarters here and hence why they feel obligated to maintain a Thai core at the very least.
exactly bro some people here are comparing us to EMEA which is stupid the teams their are selected for their brand values mostly with 1 or 2 to represent major countries whereas in Pacific every team has been selected to represent a particular country in mind. Idk why its so hard for them to understand that if Riot had more slots they weren't going to select Boom or Nongshim rather it would have been an OCE team and Fancy united thats our structure
GE's problem right now doesn't seem like the players individual skill, they've had many great players over the years (Patrick is questionable) more so the lazy org/poor management, if you want to see Indians in t1 maybe GE should give me resources to their Academy team, the org just throws money to a bunch of cracked players from all over the world and fumbles them

idk why this issue i only see more in Pacific rather than EMEA/NA. ppl here prefer players from their own countries rather than a good player, a Player being in Tier 1 not because they Deserved it but because they from X country
its frustrating when talent and hard work are overlooked because of nationalist bias. Players deserve recognition based on their ability, not their passport. If Tier 1 status is given based on nationality rather than performance, its ggs to the competitive scene💀
If what you guys mentioned was true Riot will never select the 10 orgs that they have ,trust me the composition of teams would be lot different. I dont know why a simple point people cant understand that Pacific teams are literally selected based on their nationalities in an attempt to represent the diverse fanbase of Pacific. GE is here not bcz they are top 10 org in Asia Pacific but because they are top org of India same goes for lot many other teams. Everybody knows Talon is supposed to represent Thailand, RRQ indonesia, DFM and Zeta Japan, T1 DRX and Geng Korea , Secret PH. The only team you can argue which is here on their brand value like EMEA or Americas is PRX but even they are supposedly representing SG/Malaysia.
I hope you all haven't forgotten the uproar from Indonesian fans when RRQ initially wanted to continue with their PH core rest I shouldn't need to explain why and what is expected of others

I have been following this scene since almost day 1 , you are right they weren't top players but that was just a justification for creating an uproar that RRQ is supposed to represent Indonesia and this was the point which was mentioned everywhere first and foremost. They didn't even get a single match in VCT to atleast prove themselves and half of them were cut in off season after announcement of franchising and subsequent uproar
Also I hope you have been keeping track of the hate estrella was getting if he slightly underperformed, Crazyguy got the same in first match and wait for him to underperform you will see the hatred return, you can connect dots and it's not a phenomenon restricted to just Boom fans either lest someone thinks I am taking a dig at my indo brothers.
