The VLR rankings is garbage

Okay that's a little mean, but man its disappointing.

Its fun to just browse the site and see all of the stats and such, and see which teams are up and coming, but the ranking system is so inaccurate it feels so difficult to properly browse

Team liquid made it to Bangkok and looked pretty good and was the 2nd best team in europe, yet they are ranked 10 and apparently Apeks is far better than them.

IMO the ranking system should be similar to HLTV for Counterstrike, where its all one list of rankings, and they are actually accurate, and dont run by the current system.

Thoughts?

No it 100% is, everyone agrees, but what can we do about it?
You're comparing it to HLTV, a huge site funded by Valve, meanwhile VLR is a soley developed by enigma. Making a better ranking which require money and time with VLR does not have

also it doesnt cost much money to implement a good stats viewer which is my biggest gripe w this site

the best system would be one that weighs recent matches more than older ones, and separates t1 and t2

Trick talks about this a lot on his stream, his team Bait Academy was ranked #3 in NA and even he says they were nowhere near that level because they just farmed plumbers

yeah, idk even the appeal of having so many different sections, to compare only regions, when imo it would be more interesting to have 1 laederboard. its more difficult because of how bad the schedule is for valorant, with only 3 international events, where as cs has over ten, but it is still doable. anything is better than the current, lackluster system
