Title, should valorant add agent bans to esport or to rank when you reach a higher enough level? Wouldn’t this promote more unique meta and add more interest?

it would be cool i guess but i dont see how it eventually just makes another meta. everyone will ban the best agent at that map, so everyone just picks the second best agent instead

Exactly, it's not League of legends where you can only have one character per team, this wouldn't significantly reduce mirror matchups

More likely they will start target banning for the team and besides some of these comps work exactly because of the variety of agents so you more like have an option to ban from pool of agents rather than an agent. Going to make the games look like shitshow and teams won't have enough time to prepare 2-3 comps for every single map at worst. It's not like the comps work the same way exactly when you swap around an agent or two.
