What will happen to the G2 in 2026?

The Guard in 2023 won a slot for 2024 and 2025 in the franchise. What happens after that? Will they play with the ascension 2025 winners or will they just get kicked out again for another year to play with t3 teams?

theyre gonna make champs and just BE in the league for another year, then when riot re evaluates teams they will be partners

gentlemates will prob play ascension again this year then be partnered in the future

As long as they make champs (or place higher than 2G if they both qualify), then they’re in the league again. The worse ascension team will have to defend their spot in Ascension if they make top 8 in league — if they do worse then they’re auto-relegated.

If G2 win Bangkok, they start the season with 8 champs points and would have to absolutely toss every game for the next two splits to miss champs.

bro this roster's core stuck together when THEY LOST THEIR FRANCHISING SPOT!!!! you think one year of franchising success is going to change that? this team has been through thick and thin for 3 entire years. if this isn't loyalty, then idk what is. at the end of the day, only the players can decide to leave if the team gets poached.

Except the core decided to stay together through T2 instead of accepting franchised offers and Jawgemo has made it clear he thinks they’re the best team he could play with.

The players clearly care about long term consistency over short term monetary benefits.
