One of if not the best lan international in ny opinion ATLEAST top 3 for me id have Champions 2022 and lock in with it also

What msde Shanghai so great was alot of things first GenG won it wich is the first ever and still the only one also how GenG played was so entertaining to watch. Pretty much every team that should have been there was except T1 DRX should have qualified another reason is platchat while sideshow and brent (also other casters) werent there the platchat co streams were so fun to watch

Where do you guys have Shanghai at for me it is easily top 3

shanghai is def one of my favorite cities for sightseeing but based on personal preference i prefer guangzhou more because of their culture and food, chongqing is also really cool for tourism

No story lines other than whatever was going on with GENG. every chinese team flopped at homeground and a severe lack of personality other than patitek doing something.

Also the boycott from people such as sideshow kinda minimized the effect of the event.

the boycott is kind of what made it special with them doing co streams instead and if you watched them youll know how entertaining they were.

The part with the story line is just stupid especially with GenG everyone was against them especially the crown but not because they were toxic or to good it was political and in the grand final when GenG won the crowd had to clap for them as sign of request

Yeah shanghai is only high up for me because of the plat chat costream otherwise it was pretty boring besides a few teams

i guess for me the biggest thing is the fact that the chinese teams flopped so hard. thought we were going to have something equivalent to lock in which really disappointed me

shanghai is a top 2 event, considering the cirmustances and stories leading into the event, thinking politically wise.

idk its emotional the way gen.g won after losing their first trophy to sen in a sad way. I love how t3xture during the event was trying is hardest to bring the 2 communities together. Gen.G being the bad guys for china. nobody cheering them on when they actually won the event. solo giving his speech and his past with being in shanghai with his old teamates the cs super korean team btw. meteor being the player to be built around and given a championship winning roster. karon the super rookie, t3xture the super duelist, lakia the old heir of the team whos been around for ages, munchkin being one of the players who were considered questionable when first signed. everything about this even was just poetry

Sen didn't qualify was one of the flaws of the event (dont get me wrong, i was fine for the other qualified americas team). But from narrative standpoint, recent masters winner looking to build their dynasty, and imagine the viewership of EDG vs SEN (yeah we get that at champs, but in shanghai with CN crowd??)
