How are pros consistently good

For example primmie is #1 rad since idk jesus was born

Now the thing is, usually the narrative is "only play when u feel like it" and i can see what it means because most ppl perform way better when theyre actually wanting to paly the games

However you can NOT tell me that those pro players dont just get bored of the game or not have motivation to play and still grind ranked everyday and perform at their highest every time?

hes not tlaking about your average pro. He's asking why some of the top players can be so consistently good.

To say that no pros are consistently good is just lying, there are countless pros who have been good for ages. e.g aspas, zekken, leaf, etc...

Well they are pro players
They play the game professionally
They are consistent since they are way better than the people they are playing against
The avg radiant or immortal is a lot more inconsistent than pros

They play the game professionally

Thats not the reason itself tho. The question is how do they do it professionally. Sure i can be signed as a pro player but if i had to scrim like 7 hours a day i would rip my fucking hairs off

And then ud be like "Well maybe then the game is not for u" How the fuck can it be for someone then? And for sure many pros dont enjoy the game as it is supposed to be enjoyed and yet they play well

i think at some point you get so good at the game that all your mistakes are made up by other parts of your gameplay like simply outaiming your opponents when your positioning was bad. especially in a volatile environment like ranked. so even if primmie did bad in his own eyes, other people probably wouldn't notice.

I think CS pros explained it clearly, the A-B-C concept
A-game - your best game
B-game - your average game
C-game - your shit game
if you raise your floor you will raise your ceiling as well

Constant routine and high game iq are the biggest 2 reasons why they are so consistent I think. Pros also take mostly favorable fights and dont swing alone most of the time. Also their aim is consistent for 70-80% of the time. Even the best players of recent time like aspas, zekken, zmijkk have maps where they go -10 or something.

Consistent, good practice.

If you practice your mechanics routine regularly and mindfully with optimal form, then it’ll become ingrained. It’s not about how much you do it but about the quality of the practice itself. While some high level skills like animation prediction (movement reading), optimized pathing, and agent mastery only come with more hours played, mechanics are about minimizing server time when you’re in bad form to keep yourself from building bad habits.

All those top pros run drills and scrims to apply proper theory from their coaches but often individually limit-test in comp where stakes are low. Comp tends to be a very low stress environment relative to their actual jobs and is often an opportunity to test out new ideas or attempt plays without any pressure.

Edit: added “movement reading” as it’s the more commonly used term

regarding the last part "perform at their highest each time" - they don't. not even close. most pros who play ranked are not trying anywhere near as hard as they do in scrims or matches it's just that the average tier 1 pro is way better than a random average radiant. he doesnt compete anymore but an example being sinatraa he just hard autopilots every game with music on in high radiant last i checked

someone as mechanically cracked as primmie can absolutely play an average game and still topfrag in radiant especially on duelist or clove.

also for primmie he might enjoy it more in ranked right now since talon are dealing with some struggles

Because they play game for their whole life.
For example I can knock primmie out by using 10% power of my one hand. because they have no life.
