Platchat MIBR

just wanted to provide some extra context on their mibr portion and take.

MIBR as said many times in interviews and even by Rob Moore only arrived a week before kickoff started, and only had a day of practice before the 100T match. This is a huge factor into why they opted into old meta / basic comps from 2024 and not into the new breach, tejo, vyse, chamber etc.

It was also said that they didn’t play Vyse iirc they did against C9 although it didn’t go great it was pretty obvious they were going for an anti tejo comp with vyse viper (unbreakable utility)

there was also a part about frod and mibr in general where it was said they believed he would be stagnant and not change into new meta stuff if needed. Sideshow did bring up the point about viper harbor on 2023 Loud but I think the fact that frod wasn’t head coach on mibr until 2nd stage where they had tons of visa issues e.g Shazam pa1nt roster 1st week. And a brand new roster Palla, Rich etc

And now 3 of their players decided to take a vacation in Ireland instead of training, so when next split starts, they have the " we just started practicing" excuse again

South American teams do not have the conditions to train, it is very expensive to hold a mere local championship. In addition, Riot is not as liberal towards the West as it is in China. Look at the actual Chinese camp

yep. roster was formed late and they didnt have enough time to properly work on map pool as a whole so they just ran with comfort picks. top 3 is a huge placement considering all that

that said,

Sideshow did bring up the point about viper harbor on 2023 Loud

i do believe 2023 loud meta comps were much more saadhak doing, considering frod wasnt even the first option for head coach, and that him and saadhak thought about the game differently (thats mainly why aspas and frod left loud in the first place)

saying this cause i dont really think frod is that good of a coach althought hes decent enough, and i agree with platchat on this one about going through the meta

Up.

It's the same thing for all the latam/SA teams. Like why can't they understand most of these teams had about 1 week of practice before kickoff.

The reason G2 and SEN are so far ahead other americas teams is because they finished their roster moves early and are scrimming since OCTOBER. It's not that hard to understand when you see the bigger picture.

All equally valid points. Still going 3rd in kickoff is a huge step up from expectations since there are a couple of teams in Americas that seem to be put together last minute (who perform poorly)
