derke kangkang and aspas all are goats of the different aspects of being a duelist.

kangkang: Goat space maker first killer. bro goes in and kills as many as he can while maximising space versatile with op and rifle but killing capability isnt the best and tbh his aim is top 3 on his team smoggy and chichoo have such nice and calm aim styles still the space he creates and advantages he makes is insane.

aspas: tell this guy go kill and u win. (in my eyes he is the goat goat) what else is there to say. yes he baits but like in ranked if my reyna is going plus 16 i do NOT care

derke: blend of both always has been towards the top in both aspects.

there is no goat in duelist yet to be the best at both aspects yet these 3 are best at either one or both.
did i miss anyone?

derke better space creator than KK imo, his rifling has improved recently but what makes KK good is that he is fucked in the head and his OP is one of the best, we need KK to prove a lot more to be in these conversations since he did great in the grandfinals of champs but the rest of the year was meh, also needs to prove his rifling has gotten better this year and that he is no longer an OP merchant that can destroy his team economy if it doesnt work out

idk. we forget that he still solo carried at both prior events and still did decent stat wise despite EDG sucking dick. so ig my arguement is that he was always just goat just he needed a team to enable him ig

Nah man he got grouped at Shanghai and had a 0.91 kd, barely had a 1kd at champs 2023 (chichoo outperformed him), was 9th ranked at Madrid by rating and was outperformed by miniboo who got grouped, his only actually impressive performances are Tokyo and champs (during which he had just above a 1 rating outside of the grand finals)

he always had a good team, they just needed a different igl, I also think he always had the potential and was playing at a really good level but u just need to see him do it for longer than a bo5 to be compared to those two, from eye test I think he is one of the best ever but those two are just demons who will make any team they join a threat (unless its apeks or some other t5 team like that)

I feel zekken shud be here also all of these players cant play atleast one of the 4 duelists which are in the meta like kangkang cant play yoru same with aspas and derke can't play neon + he doesn't bait can win aim duel anybody . He imo is derke pro max and I disagree that KangKang is the goat space maker its derke by far no one in vct is as aggressive as him and imo it aint even close .

Imma start hating edg at this point dawg KK has had 2 actually stand out tournaments, how the fuck can he be the goat? There’s was like 5 better duelist in 2023, and you can argue at least texture (and arguably Aspas) were individually better last year. You can’t be the goat if you aren’t at least top 3 likes 3-4 years in a row like Aspas and derke

still in 2023 kangkang was a top5 duelist. his tokyo and la stats solo craried his team and i disagree with the time thing. its not his fault that his region sucked balls and dkdnt evolve fast enough for him to be good. hes been top 5 maybe top 3 pushing it for 2 years but yea i kinda agree.

Yet he still needs more time. You are just creating hate for kk and edg with all these overhyping. Derke and aspas have been in the scene and proved themselves for way longer time. Kk still needs more time bruh. As kk fan I would suggest you not to overhype him like this. Primmie is literally the prime example of what overhyping a player does.

winning champs biggest tour of val is everything.Doing it with edg is even more impressive. You guys are still sucking demon 1 & aspas for winning champs trophy. Aspas always farms na. Not a big deal anymore.

We aren’t talking about achievements we are talking about individual skill. Derke and Aspas earned their praise the hardest through years of top tier performances, kang kang has been far shakier and has only two good tournaments.

Finally, if before the grand finals not one singular person considered him the best player itw, I don’t care how insane your performance is, ONE MATCH cannot make you the greatest of all time. If kang kang puts up crazy number for 2025, I’ll change my opinion.

I think Jawgemo is ridiculously overrated too
He’s a bit difference since he plays all duelist well and is selfless, so he’s a very valuable player but he’s certainly not the best player or duelist in the world or even top 3 like people are claiming.
Unlike demon1 though, I do believe he will probably be top 3 on duelist inside Americas (or too 5 at least)

True most are bandwagoner fans like geng new fans and after champs new edg fans last year. Also just my opinion but I think duelists are bit overrated. Their performance depends a lot on their team support and setup. So its hard to compare duelists in my opinion.

Absolutely, they are setup to take duels with utility and often encouraged to get eco kills. Another reason why I was mad that chichoo didnt get mvp after a career tournament.

Zekken I would say is similar to kk but awp a little worse than kk. But zekken has better discipline ig but that can be a good thing as well as bad thing sometimes.

Can't go wrong with Derke or Aspas. I honestly think those 2 are the duelist goats. KangKang is good, but I think experience and consistency wise Derke and Aspas are on their own tier right now. I think whoever is 3rd is closer to 4th than these two. And well in my opinion Derke plays more for the team with entrying and flexibility while Aspas is more of carry duelist whose teams play around him. Overall I would say that Aspas is individually slightly better, but I would pick Derke if I was building a team. Still easily the top 2.
