Champs 2023, NRG loose to BiliBili. FNS with his expectations of himself and his team destroyed feels like he as an individual cannot keep up with everyone else so he retires.

He starts streaming and notices how many fans want to see him compete, he starts to costream and looks at the team’s strategies and feels “Man I can do good if I competed.” So he joins NRG when they offer him, what’s there to loose?

He improves NRG and he builds his confidence so he continues for another year, just one more year. They perform in the off season and he can see the path to greatness. Going into kickoff his confidence is high, everyone is putting them as the best team in americas. Then in the back of his mind he remembers why he retired in the e first place. The pressure is on to meet everyone’s expectations, and the rest is history.

all i know is when he came back streaming and do watch parties, he would talk about something about vct and players and what it's like but just really on his experience. he gained so much ego and fake humbling himself while talking shit to players when he does watch parties. now he don't talk shit anymore bc he got humbled again by how he shouldn't talk shit to other players with his aim like that.

Its just his personality brotha. Fns is pretty humble and honest compared to other vct pros.

It's definitely not ego and more banter. Part of the game, not that deep.

i get it but for co-pro player like him he knows what its like. would understand that many users here or esports watchers would talk shit and its normal but for a co-pro player there's a line from friendly banter to honest insult. iif its som or tarik or boostio, I get it. but for him who's more serious and sometimes does critics like a pro observer in watch parties, he doesn't have a say on how the team plays or a player plays. he even said he would talk shit in weeks that they can beat who they are against and but choke in the end. the excuse of "its just his personality" I don't think so, but happy that he's finally aware now that he got humbled

The same thing could be said about almost every pro. A lot of expectations are set on them about playing to their absolute fullest with 0 flaws and when they don't, everyone is berating them with more hate than criticism or sympathy. The only thing they can do is just improve to the best of their ability not to others expectations.
