This result is dissapointing, no way around it. Although I did warn some of y'all that this wasn't going to be easy: https://www.vlr.gg/post/4498126/is-prx-even-top-3-in-pacific

Realistically, what happened this game is that we played two maps with the same comps as in the GF of Radiant Asia, which was against DFM, who went back and vod reviewed all their mistakes. Making no adaptations/changes against a team who is known to have good anti-strat is a sign of over-confidence. We can't afford to stick to the same thing anymore; anti-strat overall has gotten way better. And as much as i love our pearl comp, it has a lot of footage on it.

In terms of what we need to do, i'd say we have to incorporate way more Tejo, Yoru, and Vyse into our comps. The best teams in other regions are doing this. Look at G2; they are playing yoru on all maps. And SEN, who mostly surely scrimmed G2, is copying them. Those two teams are in the upper final of Americas. Vyse is literally made for PRX: basically the old skye flash for info, a trip which is very hard to bypass, and good util for stall + an ultimate that supports taking gun fights.

In terms of roles:
Forsaken - Yoru
D4v4i - Vyse
Jinggg - Tejo (very easy util to learn, plays into him being willing to play new roles for the team)
Mindfreak - smokes
Something - secodary initator (breach/recon)

Alternatively, something has practiced his Yoru, so you could have something play yoru & leave Forsaken on flex, which probably is better for the team. This doesn't have to be on all maps. For example, the current Lotus comp is fine; for fracture, simply replace the killjoy with Vyse and leave the Tejo in instead of skye. For split, swap out the sage for vyse.

As a last note, I believe in our ability to come back. Historically, PRX has always done well/ok in two internationals and bombed really badly out of the 3rd one, regardless if it was at the start or end of the year. Hopefully any bandwagoners that were left will leave now. We'll have to watch and see what happens in stage 1.

yeah me too. In general, PRX has made a comeback from a big loss, so hopefully they will this time.

they might have to make roster changes. obviously all of these guys are really good but eventually you gotta just break it up and start fresh.

Too many role conflicts to allow them to incorporate newer agents, the individuals are insane but even a flex as good as F0rsaken cannot do everything. Jingg and Something aren't the onetricks that they are often described to be but with both being on the team you can't be on the 2025 standards

I'm worried jinggg wouldn't learn tejo, though I've been defending him for a long time, his agent pool really isn't great

His willingness to learn new roles isn't something I've noticed

this is a wake up call. the current meta really force duelists to be more flexible. there will be many more util agents coming so aim only doesn't work anymore.
